  1. I feel that once an engine is FI'd oil catch tanks become more important to prevent the extra crankcase pressure forcing more oil mist into the air intake tract, so today i fitted these : They were quite reasonably priced at about £60 and the braided hose cost £30, i tried ordinary silicon hose but the vacuum is so great it squeezed the hose flat ! They are nice and compact fit in well with the brushed alloy intakes and there is a little button on the bottom of glass bowl to drain so they don't need removing to empty.
  2. Think that should be Titanium Grey which is this :
  3. Spotted a White 370 at about 3pm as i was coming back from Brands Hatch on A217 heading in direction of M25, anyone ?
  4. Saw a 'Ginga' 350z going down the A217 from Rosehill in Sutton in opposite direction yesterday at about 6.45 gave him a flash but no response !
  5. And also saw this little beauty, someones project in the making.
  6. Had my brake fluid changed for Super BlueBrake fluid and to fix a minor glitch on front headlight washer, while the car was on the lift i took some pics of the GT Spec Braces fitted to chassis. .
  7. Welcome, nice to see another 370 owner in the fold.
  8. Been reading on t'internet about Gtechniq C1 crystal Lacquer and EXo hybrid coating has anyone tried it ? The video looks amazing, water just will not stay on the stuff !
  9. A lot of info for you there fella, the only things i am going to add are practical and i have done myself, firstly bumper removal is easy for Gen 3's which imho are the best aftermarket intakes and won't suffer from heat loss, all it requires is patience a spanner + screwdriver and preferably a mate to help lift it off, but it can be done on your own cos i did it that way, if you look on the american forum there are detailed instructions of how to do the job, the only thing to be aware of is that if you undo the pedestrian bonnet safety system electrical connectors it will give a warning light on dash which will have to be reset at next service but doesn't affect car at all. Hydraulic bonnet lifters can be done on UK 370's but it is a real difficult job, the kit comes from USA and on there forum it is doddle because they don't have the pedestrian bonnet safety system which is where they fit the strut mounting so you have to find a new place to bolt them and there isn't one ( i imported the struts in total ignorance of this ). Fortunately working for an engineering company i had access to the tools and equipment ( riv nuts ) to make new bonnet mountings a job not for the faint hearted.
  10. that should have read ' find them ok'
  11. Yep still original oem tyres, but having done several CAT driving / drifting days i don't find them ok and have learnt to catch the back end break dance as it happens and to have a sensible right foot for different weather conditions.
  12. Ok here we go again with S/c for the last time, ( at least for this mod ) The car went back to Abbey for a few days to have a greddy deep sump fitted which i must say keeps the oil temp. very stable when used with oil cooler, and to have the GT spec braces fitted ( see related post ) while it was there they fitted slightly bigger intake tubes to slow down air flow on boost giving me another 20 RWHP. As you can see from Dyno plot she is now producing 431.5 Rwhp which is about as much as i am going to get from the Stg 1 GTM Supercharger, but to be fair it is more than enough, the car is very fast, picks up instantly in any gear and now after uprev tweaking feels smooth, i am a happy bunny.
  13. My HKS SSM does this as well, nothing to worry about.
  14. Hi Wizard, there are blanking plates either side of the front fangs which i have cut away as well, but my idea was to to prevent heat build up in the engine compartment by allowing it to flow through the arches into wheel well. I am having a Greddy deep sump fitted soon to help heat sink as well. I was a little disappointed by figures but the intakes are too restrictive and are going to be modified by Abbey in a couple of weeks then more tuning where hopefully Mark can squeeze out some more ponies.
  15. MSV do novice sessions at Brands Hatch which might be nearer to you.
  16. i find quick wash then Dodo juice Red Mist gives a great shine providing the paintwork has been prepped well previously.

    370z intake

main advantage of stillen gen 3 apart from they look great, is induction sound from front of car and possibly a few ponies top end.
  18. Sparky, do you know if this works for the non premium sat nav system i.e. 2009/2010 ?
  19. To be fair i was going past in the twilight, nice to know there is someone else local.
  20. Saw a black 370z parked up in wrythe green lane just past St. Helier hospital last night looked nice and shiny as i went by, anyone here ?

    Puncture

Don't fret, i think all of the uk 370's are missing the jack, the Nissan logic being that puncture weld foam will get you to nearest garage and if not you're on your own any way without spare !
