  1. We went for a drive for the first time tonight and both Gill and i agree the soundproofing has definitely helped queten the road noise etc. from the boot area, so all in all a worhtwhile job imho.

    Brake Fade

RBF 660 makes all the difference.
  3. The 2 way is more for drifting, 1.5 way suitable for road and light track use. The main difference to the quaife : the lock up is adjustable as it is clutch driven.

  5. Yes all plastics fit back ok tighter than before so should stop any annoying squeaks etc as a bonus.
  6. Once it is pressed in with a wallpaper roller, it's there forever !
  7. Silent coat bulk pack has 23 sheets and if you creatively use the off cuts it is just enough.
  8. Fitted the reversing camera kit and decided to soundproof boot with 4mm silent coat ( cheaper than Dynamat ) at the same time, it has taken about 5/6 hours in total but i have been very reaxed about the job doing it over 3-4 days and i am going to put silent coat sound absorber foam inside the plastics before i refit them to maximise the effect.
  9. Snap, had mine done this week as well and am amazed how much more alive the car now is, and really pleased that it is not too noisy. Did you have the bushes replaced as well ?

    Kazz LSD

Tbf that was the one thing i was very concerned about but i am very pleasantly surprised, it is noisier than oem i can't deny it but not at all intrusive, the diff chirps a bit on tight turns and the stiffer bushes make a slight humming sound but i find the slight mechanical noises kind of endearing, the extra grip and drive easily outweigh any little niggles. I am surprised that more people have not gone down this route to improved handling.

    Kazz LSD

Over the last couple of days Abbey have fitted the new Kazz Diff along with stiffer Whiteline poly bushes and my God what a difference a locking diff makes, it totally transforms the rear end grip and can feel it push out of corners, It is so much more effective at putting the power down vs the stock VLSD, it really bears no comparison. VLSD is a paperweight by comparison, and one that over time, gets progressively worse and worse (and it doesnt start out with all that much lockup in the first place). Not cheap but so so worth it !
  15. I find her presentation style on the Classic Car Show at channel 5 really irritating, she just apes Quentin Wilson constantly.
  16. KE55 *** with nice sounding exhaust about 6.15 am this morning.
