I had a clio 172 cup about 6 months ago! I loved it to bits , put some coilovers exhaust , filter and remap....... but even after that would not stand a chance against my zed, so so much faster, although they are very good in the corners... but they dont have abs as i found out and crashed real bad and nearly killed my wife! Not a happy experience

Ya it is they are a bit fat! but i would rather be in a zed than a 205 or golf, really good cars for hacking about in but i like my heated leather and aircon....... can you tell im getting older

Ya think it only weighs in at about 950kg!

He has been invited to a show next weekend in birmingham on the GOLF + mag stand. It is pure class , bbs rims , coilovers tt interior and audi paint! Its running 230bhp, all it needs now is a lsd.

Not that worried about him beating me , as i do love mk1 golfs, plus i always have the last laugh as i just say to him that im going home now to bone his sister

After fitting the spacers i have noticed that the car tramlines a touch more, i guess this is due to the wider track.... anyone else had this? Looks so much better now though

Thought i would share my afternoon with you all ! Picked my zed up on friday and spent all saturday and sunday cleaning it, really pleased with the results. My brother inlaw came over today in his mk1 golf, fitted with a 20vt engine and loads of suspesion stuff done as well. So thought we would go out for a drive......... i did honesty think i would be a little quicker, but i was very wrong In every gear it would pull a few car lengths on me, just lookeds so funny a 25 year old car going past my 313 zed ! So beware of a little golf around the southampton area because it will make you look very stupid. I will post up some pics of both cars when i figure out how to........ anyway what cars have made you look like a plonker?

Got the 20mm spacers on , and they look the mutts nuts!

Any thought on this slick 50 stuff?

What could go wrong if i did ad some slick 50 gearbox stuff? I just thought it covered stuff with a very light silicone layer to protect and quiten it down? Tell me 350zers

Hope the 20mm will fit ok , was really looking to put those on tommorrow!

Also a friend said you could try putting some SLICK 50 in the gear box , that might quiten it down a little..... any thoughts?

Ya that all sounds about right! I was quite happy with what the nissan mechanic said as he did explain it and it made sense. Always get a little bit like this after buying a new car, every noise and im like..... crap i bought a turd! Thanks for your knowledge , its made me feel ALOT better, cheers

Hi , just bought my 350z and i am well chuffed with it! The only thing i have noticed is after my long trip home ( about 100 miles sat about 80-90mph ) i got home and there was this funny noise coming from the gearbox! It stopped when i put the clutch in and was only there when the clutch was out. As you can imagine i was well annoyed. as the car was noy doing this on the test drive. So i went straight to my local nissan dealership and a chap took it out with me for a drive. He said there was nothing to worry about and explained something about an input shaft spinning when clutch was up and not going anywhere, he said when the car has done long trips and the gearbox oil is hot that you can hear it more, but on shorter journeys it wont be so noticable......... sounded right and logical , but wandered if anybody has this with there z? From a new worried z owner!

i have heard though that just bolting on a exhaust and ind kit you will actually lose power if you dont have a remap .....

Not that worried about more power just wouldnt mind hearing the v6 a little more! ( even though i havent bought the car yet! ) Got some 20mm spacers to go on as well...... hope its all ok tommorrow

Hi all, i am looking at the zed of my dreams tommorrow , so hope to be a proud owner soon! The car i am looking at is still in warrenty and i have phoned a few nissan dealerships up to ask about the affect on the warrenty if i were to fit a induction kit, exhaust and remap. All the dealerships have said you want have any problems with the exhaust but as for the ind kit and remap if anything were to go wrong with the engine i wouldnt have a leg to stand on. My questions is how much power would i lose by putting a cat back exhaust on without a remap? I really want to release a little more noise, but would i just be sacrficing ponies? Oh its a 313 engine..... thanks for your help
