  1. That is very slick. Did you think of putting the squares, like across the strut brace under the Nismo kinda indented in the MDF?
  2. Sorry Ian, not for you. I've seen what you do to signs down in Wales viewtopic.php?f=9&t=35964
  3. I asked the missus what she thought. "Very nice. Didn't know they did a Beko with a 5 kg load capacity" Bradders.
  4. Guys and Gals, Wanna gauge some interest and numbers around getting some club stickers done for our cars with our usernames printed on, so very bespoke. Very similar to what Pistonheads do for their forum http://shop.pistonheads.com/?section=sh ... abel%20asc We are thinking of using the same font that they do and a simplified version of our logo in the top left. This would be a either a slightly larger version(with or with full web address) or two simplified smaller versions for the B pillar windows. At least this way we know hows car is who's at meets Prices would be around £10 to £12, which I think is a bargain for a personalised sticker. Thoughts, opinions?? Bradders get knotted, have you seen the price of petrol at the moment?? Hopefully not too many of those We'll get some pics together, well the creative genius of Rich will, later but I'm sure they will be sweet. Bradders.
  5. Agreed. People need to get off their PCs and get out in their Zs and drive it like they stole it!!
  6. You shoot your OWN signs? What to you do to other country's signs then??
  7. I personally wouldn't touch Evans Halshaw with a barge pole I'm afraid. Their customer service is awful. I had to put a high level complaint in against them 10 years ago. I've been back since and they don't seem to have improved any. Sorry Bradders.
  8. James, Didn't the Alezan come with the rustys on the GT pack?
  9. Are these still knocking around guys? Had a thought on this. Pistonheads do stickers which can be done with the forum login name as well. I guess a small version for the rear window. Has this ever been looked at for our stickers? Would be a nice thing to spot peeps at meets/shows no? Would be a good addition for us shy bairns who have dirty/standard engine bays who don't wanna be embarassed lifting their bonnet to show a forum slam panel Bradders
  10. Welcome to the forum 1) not 100% but fairly sure that tan leather came with GT pack. 2) Rays usually come up on the forum now and then and they are usually in good nick from the guys and gals here. 3) Yup that is normally. 2nd is a nuisance. Just gotta be firm and careful with it. Having said that if it is a real struggle it could hint at some problem, but it is the toughiest gear to engage. Hope this helps. Others will be along shortly I'm sure to back me up/ shoot me down accordingly Bradders.
  11. I would get the later model with the 3.6 not the 3.4 litres with the newer headlights. They made alot of changes. They all suffer from leaking rear main seals and the engines are prone to shedding the nikasil lining which can be fatal naturally. Early Boxsters have the same problems. They are nowhere near as bulletproof as the 993's, which would be my choice. Last of the aircooled, and hence are appreciating. The 996 interiors are a bit poor too. They used really bad quality plastic by comparison to earlier models. There are alot of crappy ones around too, really need to be careful. Having said that find a good one and they are flying machines. The odd driving position is down to the them being made for LHD drive first and Porsche are notoriously bad a converting their cars to RHD, but they don't have the weird hinged Beetle pedals from the air cooled ones. And yes, I was considering one very strongly but got a Z. Think I might have a 993 next though. Bradders.
  12. Bloody thing is bust again . Got it changed a couple of months back. Last time neither worked. The rear washer is working ok, but I'm getting nothing from the front at all. No motor noise nothing. Please someone point me in the direction of the fuse, so I can at least check that. Seem strange though that it has failed again. What could this be caused by? A short somewhere? Bradders

    350z == dead

Glad you and her are ok, thats the most important thing. I used to have bikes, and people seem to know they move fast. I'm new to sportcars and other people seem to not realise there are cars around that move at the a fast pace too. Having said that its our responsibilty if we are moving fast. I find myself getting shocked that people don't notice, but I guess that is one of the things about having a rapid car. I was out Saturday, and botted it to overtake a Focus going down a dual lane slipway onto the A19. His reaction was beyond believe, jumping and down, giving all the gestures. Very odd, seeing as I was nowhere near him. Seems overtaking safely is becoming antisocial? Either that or jealousy I hope you sort out a new car soon. Get another Z, you know it makes sense Bradders
  14. Agree. I started using Supernatural on my GM. Its awesome. Panel pot is fairly cheap and it goes a long way and is easy to apply. Tim from Envy should sort you out. Don't forget to give her a decent clay and polish first. Prime Lime is great for that. Then just top up with Dodo Red mist. Bradders. I am very embarrased to ask but I had a banger for as long as I can remember (main car has been a motorbike up to now) so have never had to put this level of time and effort in to polishing a car but now I have a Silver roadster I have the bug. Thing is I don't have a bloody clue... really What is a clay and polish?? I gave it a wash and dry at the weekend but nervous about using polish on metallic car.... Can someone waste 5 mins of their life to go back to basics... (how embarrased am I!) Very basics are: 1) Wash with mitt(not sponge! Scratches!) with good car shampoo(not Washing up liquid) and "two bucket method" Tube or Google that. 2) Dry with Meguirs water magnet(manmade shammy) 3) Clay see link above 4) Gentle hand Polish using a good microfibre cloth, nothing too vigorous, take your time as this is important to get a nice finish- Takes out swirl marks and cleans paint (Dodo Prime Lime, smells nice too ) 5) Wax and buff off 5-10mins later, do a panel at a time (any good quality, I like Supernatural from Dodo) 6) Cold Beer and admire 7) Post piccies ;-) Could write pages but hope this gives you a general idea. PM me is you want and I'll give you a bell to fill in any blanks. If you are North East can always meet up and show you my detail kit Bradders
  15. I fly a CP V2 heli. Hope the start flying her again when the weather improves. Think she needs a few carbon mods too Video of my first proper hover last year. Looks a bit boring but I can tell ya it was more intense from my point of view that threading a Z along a B road Bradders.

If you come to the Jap NE meet at Nissan Sunderland, you can have look at my iPod conversion on my Non-Bose OEM tape deck. It works great. viewtopic.php?f=85&t=34660 A few of us are going, so you can get some ideas about mods. Just don't complain to Lexx about the weather Bradders.
  18. Nice one Need piccies! Don't think I've seen red 370z?!
  19. Totally agree. Brand new car + can't offer you a test drive in a type of transmission = Bye bye If they can't get basic sales right, what else will they get wrong. Get a manual test drive off them or walk is my advice. If a garage wants your business enough they'll find a manual.
  20. Just what the missus said. I assume she was referring to the size of the scratch
  21. Thanks all for the helpful advice. I thought £40 for a quick fix would do it. Might do that as I'm a DIY numpty. More satisfying than an Xbox game. I know you guys and gals would understand. Cheers, Bradders.
  22. Thanks guys. Feel such a drama queen, but I guess you all know the feeling Bradders
