  1. I'm wondering if that could be a Nurrish Sat Nav . Pete The sales rep has said that it is a sat nav - but as you have pointed out, the advert is a little light on accuracy. It could well be a childs book with a picture of a map on it or a little mirror that distracts whoever gets into it My first impression is that it is over priced and a little higher on milage than I would have liked - but has to be worth a look as its only an hour or so away. Having checked the service history, it seems to have missed anything resembling a P3 but has had a collection of 1's and 2's as well as an R1 (?) which I have assumed is just spidery writing. As is the salesman pitch - he has had it for a few weeks but had LOADS of interest - presumably from all the people that go to a Jag dealership to buy a Nissan
  2. Annual exercise for your balloon knot muscle There is always the free re-test though!
  3. This has come up in my search - wheels, stubby and front bumper stand out as subtle, sympathetic mods - does anyone know the car? Started life in Edinburgh and has worked its way down via Newcastle/Midlands http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p Planning to see it on Saturday
  4. If it helps, I would probably buy your 350Z....
  5. Sell it and get the Nismo V2 - ready smoothed for you
  6. Wear a black bin bag with cereal boxes stuck to it...then carry a couple of cereal boxes to cut, bite, rip and generally shred up...hey presto - you are a super cereal killer
  7. XBOX for me, mainly GoW and Assassins Creed...with some Arkham City thrown in for good measure Chris T16
  8. Brighton for some alternative 'camping' by the sea. There are plenty of shops, local paintballing and zorbing sites as well as sufficient night life activity to keep you entertained...you can then recover the day after by the sea with some local whale watching (depending on the caliber of the locals) If the UK is not a must...jump on the EuroStar to Belgium or Bruges - sample the local turbo plonk and bring a boot full of your favourite back home
  9. More time on the forum...less time working....got it!
  10. Not a bad way to invest eleventy-million pounds...the gold lined bonnet is an extravagent touch! http://www.topspeed.com/cars/nissan/201 ... 26787.html
  11. A magic cat that scares the rain away from the car?
  12. This should be a very quick question - should all cars 06+ with the faclift headlights also have the facelift front bumper or was there a phased switchover? I have found a nice 06 car but it stands out to me that it has the later headlights but not the bumper - so it has either been in an altercation which meant the bumper needed to be replaced or its completely innocent...
  13. This ^^ I am thinking that I should just take a week off work - and go on a red bull marathon to ensure that I see every sale advert as it goes up
  14. There is a good steak restaurant called black and blue right in borough market - a nice wander up the river if you are staying by the eye. You will also find some good pubs in there - market porter, brew master. The market gets busy but is worth a wander. There is a fresh cider stall in there as well! If you are a spirit drinker, pay a visit to vineopolis which is just off borough market - they have a whiskey Exchange shop in there which has one of the best spirit collections that you will find to pick from. It's a buy and take home rather than sit and drink. Covent garden has the porter house which does all manner of beers and usually has live bands and just up the road from there is the maple leaf which is reasonably priced. Both good for seating. Waxy o'connors just off leicester square is quite an experience...its all underground and has some nice seating and a good atmosphere. Enjoy!
  15. beaten me to it...just had this arrive at work. Great way to finish the week
  16. Thanks all - I thought of eBay just after I posted this up - the bank holiday activities have really numbed my brain eBay seems to range from £150+ I have a contact for spraying so not overly worried about that. Could probably di it all in for near as £200. There are aftermarket ones but none that really push my buttons. I would also be concerned that cheap aftermarket = cheap GRF = appauling fit In the end, there are a number of other issues with the car that I have seen that just don't add up to it being a sensible purchase - so the hunt continues
  17. Afternoon one and all, after a rear end cost (not the premium peppermint hippo type of tail I hasten to add) I viewed a car at the weekend which had one or two downsides - one of which was a rear bumper in need of (at the very least) a respray - but probably replacement if I were to be truely happy with it. Can anyone give me a rough guesstimate of what rear ends go for
  18. Don't get me wrong, I am not bashing Flux - I have been insured with them for several years They just don't want my business this time around
  19. This thread nearly started yesterday with a grown(ish) man in tears! Having wrestled the insurance down on my current car this month with Adrian Flux I rang up to enquire about adding a 350Z to the policy (as soon as I find the one for me). Having had quotes from comparison sites I expected a £300-400 cost to change which I was perfectly happy to swallow. However when the cheery woman on the phone came back and told me that 'it would be £1,700 please sir....would you like to proceed with that', two things were confirmed; 1) she was not the sharpest tool in the box 2) my Zed ownership fantasy was probably over I shouted at everyone in the office, kicked the cat at home, chugged some mighty fine 12 year old (rum) and then slept on it... Today the crack like habit that I have developed for this forum drew me out from my dispair and into the insurance section where I stumbled across Sky Insurance - not only did it turn out that they are just up the road from me but after a few questions and a couple of minutes of the hold tone - it looks like I will be adding them to my fantasy bank. Not only have they come in cheaper than anywhere else for the Zed they have come in cheaper on my current modified toy and I get to give Flux the finger (in exchange for some cancellation fee rape). Extremely happy, extremely impressed and ready to celebrate with, rather than cry into, the 12 year old (still the rum) If anyone from Sky Insurance is reading this - the chance of you seeing a naked, drunken, petrol enthusiast dancing outside your offices has just increased exponentially!!
  20. That raises another interesting point. Having built my last car, I am fairly hand with spanners. I have no intention of selling my project (in one piece at least) and so the lack of garage service history was never going to be an issue. I am not sure I would be so happy to drop the garage history when I get my 350 as it could put off potential buyers in the future.
  21. This is a bit of a silly question - but if I put it out here you will either confirm of alter my thoughts. I am viewing a 54 GT this evening which has c 45k on the clocks. The owner had a P1 last March but having only done 4k since then has not adhered to an annual service interval and instead seems to service it by milage. I will look over the rest of the history when I see the car - but what are peoples opinions on servicing by milage rather than yearly (I appreciate that the suggested interval is age OR milage) By my reckoning it should be due a P3 @ 8 years, and that being the case, certainly is not reflected in the price.
  22. I went to look at that one as well...you are the person that beat me back to it then Hope you enjoy it

    Pre 06 350Z GT

With the house purchase done, the hunt has started and I am after the 350 that I have promised myself for the last year. I am after a Pre 06 GT pack model in GM, Sunset or possibly Silver. Reasonable milage, well looked after and service history is a must! Not afraid of sensible modifications - plenum spacer, exhaust, spacers some carbon fibre dress up but you can keep huge wings, limo tints and neons. Viewings at the weekend are easiest for me as I generally work into the evenings - but will take days off if something takes my fancy. I am based in EN6 but will travel/wait for the right car. Tickle me with what you have got
  24. Given the choice I would have GM or Sunset - it seems that I missed the boat somewhat as the number that seem to be for sale (and tick all of the boxes) seems to have dropped off significantly. I guess that the sun arrives and everyone selling over Christmas falls back in love with their cars!
