Whats the best model etc of Scorpion exhaust for the 350Z? I've got a business meeting with them soon and want to see if I can wranggle myself a little something out of the deal.

Black is not just black! Nerd part inc: Although Black (and white for that matter) don't qualify as colours, but shades, there are different versions. For Black it can appear blacker depending on the light absorbing properties of the paint. The more light it absorbs, the blacker it will apear. Sorry for the waffle, the long and short of it is get a paint match and check ur mates a pro not a GCSE student with a can of spraypaint!

Pearl fire red is the colour as i remember

Has anyone completely replaced the OEM engine with something...... well, ludicrous? Anything like a meaty V8? It's complete fantasy at this point but I'm considering turning my Zed into F&F style major project. What engines from other cars BMW's Chevy's, Cosworth etc might fit the Zed? I suppose the end goal is to get something around 600hp out of her. Also something that could stand to be twin turbo'd or superchargred with +100 BHP on standard. I know it would have to be some solid enginieering! Love to hear from absolutely anyone that's got an opinion on this...................

Thinking about getting rid of the Bose head unit for somthing... well, less dissapointing. Is the amp that powers all those spears and sub in the double din head unit or somewhere else? Basically what I'm asking is can I just go out and buy a good double din unit and plug it in or is this going to turn into a major project (and ball ache)? Cheers all!

Welcome matey, All the resources you need to find your ideal Zed will be on here. I managed to pick up my UK GT pack last year for about £9.5k. For your money you're probably either looking at a Jap import or a higher mileague UK like mine. I'd say you're better of going with the later as it's easier to follow the cars history, where i'ts been and what it's been through. Also, a lot of insurer's don't like imports so you may end up paying more in the long run going down that route. Whatever you decide the engine's are rock solid and go on forever (like all Jap cars) and as long as they have been serviced regualrly (every 9k) high mileague isn't somehting you should fear and certainly doesn't mean what it once did. Just take your time, read through the many, many, many threads there are on the forum about buying a used Zed and I'm sure you'l find your perfect Zed for a price thats right. When you find a specific car that you may be looking at buying, put a link to the ad and pictures on the site. There's a massive pool of Zed expertise here and we may be able to spot something a miss that you may not have noticed. Good luck!

All, I'm sure I'm being totally special but I can't for the life of me figure out how to work the bluetooth adaptor my car came with. The adaptor looks like the pic below but inside the cubby hole (under left arm) there is what looks to be a phone dock. Only thing is the adaptor doesnt clip in and I can't find any wires to plug it in anywhere. Sensible non-offensive advice (sure i sdeserve it tho ) really appreciated!

I agree with all the previous posts. You don't know what he's got under the hood. My friend had an R32 and now has an S3. Both of them look completely stock with no bodykit or anything. Only thing is the R32 was supercharged and his S3 pumps out 420 HP. Seen him skin Porches!

Go and buy one of Nurrish's Sat Navs and use that for your mp3's. Thats what I'm saving for!

All, I want to be able to listen to all the music I have on my iPhone through my Bose system. Anyone got any tips or recommendations for FM adaptors / hardwire? / Getting a good cradle? Anything? Cheers, James B

Isn't the amp in the Bose system built into the double din head unit? If I'm right then thats gonna be a problem for you running all those speakers etc of a head unit without an additional amp.
