Close it if you wish, but it wont make me feel welcome to post again ..i dont see ive done anything wrong. i genuinely expected my 350 before xmas...... so i joined, i had actually waited all year to join...and knew was no point without pics.... so, i waited..then i knew all i needed was a headlight, and i knew this was the place to ask.. i didnt want to come on and lie as a newbie- so i was honest and told you all my situation...as id be asked for pics of my zed etc.... Thought id be interesting for you all to know id won one, i didnt know this would carry on into jan! so, im sorry, but if ya fed up and bored then yeah just dont read it, or close it. i am now taking action as they didnt ring me as promised today. i now feel uneasy to post up what happens after you yawning ...... which is a shame, i dont have many people to tell about this, my close friends arent into cars and i have only told you lot the story! as i was trying to keep my promise to the mag and they obviously didnt want it out! ....... you've been good to talk to and get your opinions, as i did not know what to do. so for those of you who tried to help and give advise- i thank you id like to stay on here with updates... its not my fault its dragging out!! so if some of you are getting annoyed/bored THINK HOW I FEEL !! haha! so yeah lockdown if you want... but i feel ive done nothing to deserve that! just wanted advice! not my fault im being messed around, believe me im very upset with whole situation

i know you guys do most of the shows too and look forward to being at them with you the mag run show and shine comps i enjoy entering and i like seeing my cars in the mag..... have history with them so dont wana end that badly , will see what they do this week.........

Well i am fussed coz i like getting my cars in their mag and i also like being with them at the shows ..... it would be a shame for me if they hated me! my friends dont go to car shows with me, so i rely on who i know at the shows to keep me company i know im being really nice ..... too nice, but i dont just yet want to be at war with them, i believe they will threaten garage this week, if not- then i will ring solicitor back!

True, the garage certainly dont care about me... the mag say they do, and say theyre very busy and its not their priority..IT SHOULD BE!!!!!!! If on friday i dont get what i want to hear - ie action happening... ill get stronger on em.... they did say theyl take car to another garage.... so im pushing for this! But you guys r correct the garage its in now may not let the car out!!! Most people are tellin me to take action against the mag, but my family are tellin me to wait..... they dont want me to fall out with the mag. So hard!! I reckon its def garages fault.. i was told the amount mag gave em... it was enough!! and they havnt done alot of the jobs on the car asked...... just want car out of there, in a garage i know and keys then in my hand!

If i didnt know the people, and i didnt care about them... id of taken legal action ages ago and got very angry..... i do believe its not the mags fault, so i will stand by them.... for now, i should know end of next week if this garage is going to play ball or make it worse ........ but if it goes to court, i could be waiting ages ..however if it does... they did say theyl give my zed to another garage to finish..and i have one waiting!! it has taken the pi$$ !!! and i am upset, but i dont think theres much i can do, without losing friends! will give an update end of next week... with what the garage do about the mag now threatening em, 'finish it or court!' my lifes like a soap opera at min!!! and yes i am waiting to sell FTO to clear debts and get my own place!

well- the garage say they used all the £ on the car, and that the costs to modify it were more than the amount given...... so the garage are saying they are owed money to complete the car. pretty sure this is untrue, and i know the amount this garage was given! im pretty sure theyre lying!! and also a garage give you a quote of how much work will be, you give them that money- they then cant change the amount they want!?

Right! had a chat with editor and guy in charge of comp- Next week he is threatening garage-he has proof of money he gave the garage, and the work has not been done (like i thought and from what ive seen- i have visited garage alot- its not all done, not just the headlight, lambo doors and other bits) He will get a date the garage will complete the car next week and tell me, if the garage dont do this then the mag is taking them to court... something they didnt want to do at all- as before this they had a good working relationship!!! i am shocked this garage have let this magazine down also.... bit silly really considering the mag put their cars in all the time!! so ill get a date next week....however if it goes to court- that may take a while to settle.... so no guarantee when ill get it if the garage dont act fast and do all the work. They said theyl give it to another garage and charge that one for its in now for the work! .... so, im in same boat, but he said he'll keep me informed more than he has been, and hes sorry. i just gotta wait ........

i just spoke to them and who i need to speak to will ring me after his meeting- about the car. they said its 100% my car and theres no doubt ill get it, they said unfortunately first they have to deal with that garage first so they ringing me with a date..... i have told solicitor NOT to do anything unless i call em back. the latest ill wait is to get the car at donny at silverstone april 10th..... and i think thats really realistic- gives them alot of time to sort their troubles out with finance and this garage........

well mag havnt rang me yet but oddly the solicitors did!! and they said tehyd spoken to their boss bout my case- and they want to help- and to forget about that £270 for the initial meeting, they said its a great story and they want to run with it WITH THE PRESS..... and they wont charge me a penny at all. Theyl just get me the car or £. crap, this is getting mad i said to them i will wait to hear from the magazine first... i really dont want to make enemies, and press involved (which is the deal if solicitors are free) the press will def hurt the mag, and the garage ...and i dont think i could live with that but i do want the car i think id rather not hurt people though!

I spoke to a solicitor and they say i do have a strong case- but even an initial 'meet' with them is £270 ... after that no win no fee if decide to go ahead.... i told my Dad who knows about whole situation and he said dont do it. he said itl ruin my car shows for me doing that- ie really falling out with them. My dad said keep waiting because ill get it eventually and he said there no rush for the car..... i have listened to my dad ... but as it goes, they replied to my email lastnight (the magazine) and they said they will dedicate some time to this tomorrow (today) and it will be sorted...... ill see what that means and if they call me and tell me what they are doing. if not ill tell them im thinking of taking things further...... but really dont wana go down that route !

i had no reply to me asking to talk to them, so i have researched competition law, " CAP CODE ON PRIZE PROMOTIONS" and they have not been ...whats the word? doing this correctly! so, im seeking legal advice , i feel i tried to be nice and talk to them before this route, am sad ill have to fall out with them now. i guess first step is a solicitors letter!? i think they have breached fair trading standards too... still researching my rights....

Yeah that would make sense actually thats possibly right- the garage told me to butt out and that i dont know whats gone on i have just emailed the mag and said i want to talk to them...no reply yet...so ill ring them soon. They owe me an explanation and the truth i know you all think im mad if im still trying to be nice and if/when i get it i still want to go to shows with them- but i really do enjoy being with them at shows (plus they pay for your ticket! helps!) and i really do want a good feature when i get the car- plan is to shoot the zed and my FTO together..that would be special to me, before i sell FTO. i do all the modified car shows, and if i end up on very bad terms with them, itl ruin my days there , so i am trying not to threaten them or scream!!! ill ring them later and im going to be a bit more formal with them and frank... i just want a date ill have it... if they arent helpful then ill seek legal action. though i dont know if ill have a case! ? any one know!? ill google competition laws! surely they have to give me the prize!! or equivalent money? ?

i still have the mag, and all teh pages the tokens to collect were on, there was no small print at all and no dates theyd give it away! it just said whoever does the most mental things to win it, will win it... and that was me.... ................. my patience is def running out ! i celebrated winning in may!!!

i have offered many time to buy the headlight myself, they both said no ... i know i shouldnt but i just want this car NOW! haha in the write up i doubt theyl quote a word i say! theyll print 'she won, she got it!' not like theyl admit what they actually did

its not a con, they have the car, i entered to win, they chose my video as winning entry... they told me ive won, they told me what garage are modifying it..... ive been to garage many times, they all know at garage its for me.... doesnt seem a con, and plus they know me very well, they couldnt be that mean!? just gettin nowhere though ... everytime i chase it i get a date ill get it, never happens, shes just sat in that garage. all over a headlight and £ between mag and garage i really believe ill get it, but this is now taking the real pi$$ and im helpless! stuck in middle and get nowher! if i get real mad and threaten em, then ill fall out them, then they may not give me it at all! and i have to see them all at all the shows! so didnt wana fall out over it ... i think im being really nice........ but they dont seem to apriciate it or how crap this is for me!! anyway, am ringing them next monday, defo! and ill cut all the crap and excuses, ill just ask for a date ill get the car, if it falls through again.... ill seek legal advice

ah thats really nice of you... they have borrowed one to mot it... and i found em a set for sale... but theyre arguing still over money with the garage ...but ill keep your kind offer in mind, i feel like im gettin nowhere at min grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

thanks yes although people are saying i should be going mad and taking action i think you're right, i will get the car, eventually, and like you say i cant moan its a free car, just awful erm service! ive heard the stories from the magaZine and the garage, and i really do think it is the garage who are taking the ****... the mag want it done as much as i do... but i feel the mag arent chasing garage enough, theyre just letting time go by, and cant be bothered, ive chased garage and been told to basically butt out - they say 'im not the customer so they do not need to talk to me.' is true so im stuck in two weeks i will ring mag and def have words...

sorry- magazine!!! i was unsure!!! yes when they ran comp rules are you have to do a year of the modified shows- but thats only a few - donny, modified nationals, usc.... thats most of them, maybe the modified live shows! all others id like to join your stand .. im waiting the two weeks coz ringing em everyday and getting nowhere puts me in a bad mood ... and im annoying them too, i really dont know how to play this ! if im angry and rude they could say they arent going to give me it! that would be awful!! if they did that i would go nuts and tell the wqorld and show everyone the emails sayin id won etc... prob is i know them as we chat at the shows, and i like them- so i am not keen to have a huge falling out ... and they are blaming the garage its in....(who i have fallen out with !!) just a headlight ill wait 2 weeks then ill decide on next plan of action!!

yes thats whats keepin me positive... its a co*k up!! but theyl want a happy ending, and when i get the car i doubt ill stil be mad...ill be happy then and ill be happy to go to shows with them and show it off.
