yes it was... i have full rac inspection monday...(separate to lastnights about the engine light etc) the inspection is £229.00 and theyl be able to tell me everything about the car / repair etc..... end of the day i won it... and can sell it if i feel id like another standard one to do myself over time... think im doing the right thing, wanna keep her but with the interior issues and other worries i may be best to start again! wonder what i can get for it?????!

so would i !!! but i am allowed i know NOT to drag along the side... dont worry just resting lightly on her

Right rac- there was strong coolant smells coming in whenever i accelerated.. however didnt happen when rac looked at it! typical! any ideas what this could be!? an engine management light was on when i took it the said it was the o2/ lamder sensor.... rac plugged his comp in and turned it off.... told me to take it to a garage to inspect... i believe the sensor issue was solved but they just hadnt turned engine management light out?! erm.... interiors awful and nought works! and traction control/eps lights up... its off and cant be turned on...... as the button by steering wheels broken and fallen in hole!! shes low miles 35000 20 inch wheels- like em carbon bonnet and bootlid... do love the look of her... just got many hurdles now to solve, thinking of selling up and getting a standard one without all the bits not working!! dont have the £ to spend and fix. and needs full new interior... maybe someone will like it out there!? ill post pics when i get a chance at weekend!

ill ask for another bonnet to be delivered to the garage i use and trust!!! autobmc in hertfordshire. they are excellent, service and quality. i get her sunday !!! i cant wait!!!!! even though i feel so down!

i am well upset! was half way through the photoshoot all smiley etc... then i go round to fully inspect my nice bonnet i bought her...and bang! i see the cracks!!!!!! ruined the day- they were then saying head up- smile etc... it was hard !!! the editor has said maybe they and the garage will go halves on new bonnet... thats fine, and i pray they do, but max shouldnt have to pay a penny, not their fault! i feel sorry for the editor bigtime!!! i feel like they think im so ungrateful, won the car and all ive done is moan ...but i do think anyone would have! i have some awesome pics which ill post up after sunday she is lovely!!! apart from my wrecked bonnet..i know the garage will blame the bonnet somehow "it didnt fit" etc........... i dont think ill take that!!! i know its a free car, but i worked hard to win..... then they made me wait nearly a year, and now this..... so although free car, its been a nightmare and as i did buy that bonnet myself i feel they really should get me a new one!?!

I had my Max Power feature yesterday with the 350z Project ive won... due to be handed over to me sunday at Santa Pod. At xmas i bought a seibon 350z bonnet from Amber.. gave them this bonnet- they got a garage to fit it... saw the car yesterday and my bonnets cracked .... all round the aero flush plus locking pins- and a huge crack all along front of bonnet ......... ruined. I have said i feel they should replace this!!! am i right here?! i gave them my bonnet in perfect condition, and myself and the garage checked it when we unwrapped it. so who should replace it max power or xquisite ?! i think the garage ... Max didnt damage it, tehy just picked it up and hadnt noticed (apparently) am so annoyed ..... on the plus side.... the cars really nice and really enjoyed driving it for a short while yesterday

i sooooo love this car, ive seen all your pics of her and everything you have done and cant stop thinking bout it!! take my zed, my FTO and my del sol?!?!?!!?! so you'll be at shows with her?? i must meet her!!

oh man, i so want this zed ...if only i had that kinda money !! :( i think you should keep her, although GTR is dream of mine too....

Thanks guys ill post up pics straight after the show for you ! but after seeing it- i love the exterior- its really really nice!!!! however the interior is a real mess, hate it, basiclly i need a full new interior also its high miles 90,000 i believe, so i am thinking i may be better off perhaps selling her and getting another on lower miles? and without an awful interior?! but i will see! they want her with me at a few shows.. thats fine ... so ill have a while to think! if i keep her ill have to sort interior, new seats and new steering wheels will help ALOT.. they're the worst bits, and i could get the cream leather all painted black??? but its the WHOLE interior is leathered in cookies in cream colours, and not very well still... i cant moan !! i am really excited!!!!! tue 16th march is the photoshoot with her, so ill get to drive her too ..i presume!

i have got pics...and im tempted believe me... but ive already broken their trust and told you all...... wasnt even meant to let it out id won! still, kept it quiet for many months.... i think if i post pics id really be taking the p*** 3 weeks to wait.... now you all wanna ...i know! im sorry!!

Well, now seen her all done... i can honestly say shes stunning! i was shocked, better than i thought she'd look! and my carbon bonnet will look awesome and go with the carbon boot etc i really cant wait to show you all pics! yes ill start a new thread hehe! few weeks to go till hand over at the show..... Will be longest 3 weeks ever, have the photoshoot on 16th march though.... so ill get to drive her before the show

I am visiting her tonight! taking a carbon bonnet i bought her down there shes leaving garage soon, photoshoot soon, and car show in few weeks, then she'll be alll mine!!! finally!

haha, do you know what-i actually know who is selling it! its a relative of a guy at my work!! she wont give me discount hehe id love a private plate! but erm, not that one! its rather expensive dont you think haha. I want FA51 AMY its £800 (id make it read FAST) nearly bought it at one point, but didnt as i dont have the zed..... maybe ill treat myself one day but i bet its prob gone! The show seems ages away so i am trying not to think about it!!

if any of you come along make sure you introduce yourselves though after i have my zed, ill be looking for the next meet to meet you all! this will be the longest 5 weeks or so of my life..

Headlight- check- car done- check- improvement!!!!! now to see when i get it! they are picking car up from garage next monday... checking the work... getting me a year free insurance, mot and tax... and the following week giving me the car and doing the photoshoot! (i know i said it had mot- i was lied to the garage told me that ) doesnt surprise me ! soooo- i hope i can put up pics in 2 weeks ..or before xmas 2011 haha i have a better feeling about this now, the communication last two days has finally been good.

Well im now getting better communication fro the mag.. however its just them saying the garage are now doing this and that...no date yet. And they told the garage it could all go legal and be a big mess and the garage almost laughed at that and said 'oh dont worry it wont get to that!' this has made me angry!! the garage are so lucky i have been so nice and a walk over all last year! So im getting daily updates of what the garage are doing- if they seem to not be doing much ill demand it leaves that garage. But not much to do now. Its a real shame as the garage havnt done half of what they were meant to and it seem the mag are just dropping it it was meant to get a new interior and everything!!! it makes no sense why the mag arent going legal against the garage!!!! i know they are close working relations but seriously Ill see what happens next few days, but im not accepting any more excuses or things taking too long now

No fees! ...if i go ahead and take action however they will have to pay- no win no fee etc, they saw me free the first meet- and said i have a strong case... but hoping it doesnt get to that!

Quick update- told mag i had seen a solicitor- which i have... and they were nice to me and said they will not deny its my car, or the mess! In the next two weeks they agreed what i asked- which was to go down the garage with the editor and all have a meeting to come up with an actual date they give me this car!! They have also said they will buy headlight- finally!! so- hopefully soon ill have the car!!! if not- they know the solicitor will act and tell the press... But i think since i mentioned i am serious now they have been alot nicer to me! we'll see
