  1. That looks like a beauty Now get that roof down and enjoy it
  2. Welcome aboard Tony Loads of good info and advice to be had here and some cracking cars available in the For Sale section.
  3. Ok, few pics as promised, from both myself and the better half. I'll try not to repeat some of the great pics that have already been posted. Also, apologies for anyone who was following me at any point and wondered why I wasn't putting my foot down. I spent a lot of time with the traction control kicking in bogging me down due to the crappy tyres I have at the mo Who's making all that racket? Mmmm shiney-shiney...... More shiney! Pimm, I really do like your wheels mate Stunning countryside, just perfect for driving through.
  4. I had my heart in my mouth if I'm honest and was dreading one of you guys hitting them or running off the road trying to avoid them. As we continued up the road I gradually slowed as I realised you guys had dropped back. I really thought we might have had a serious accident there and I'm so glad everyone had the skill, judgement and good luck to avoid anything serious happening.
  5. Thanks Colin (and June ), Dave, Martin, ChrisS and everyone else involved in organising, setting up and managing this event. You made it so easy to take part that all we pretty much needed to do was have fun. Many, many thanks
  6. Jeez yes! I was up the front and saw them screaming down that track out the corner of my eye but had no time to warn any of you guys. I have to admit I looked in the wing mirror expecting the worst. How you missed them / they missed you is still beyond me. Having had a similar experience the day before with an uncontrolled dog running in to the road in front of me I can imagine how you felt. Hoping to post some of my pics up later on. I'd also like to thank Colin, Dave, Martin, Chris and others who made this whole weekend so enjoyable, great organisation, fantastic company, astonishing roads and the best weather Thanks guys
  7. Welcome aboard Conor Have a look through the FAQs section, it'll give you loads of info about different specs, known issues etc. That's a tidy looking Zed, maybe you should have a look at the For Sale section here as well. There are some nice cars in there at the moment and they will have been well looked after. Enjoy your search

    Wipers

I think I paid about £55-£60 for the two front and a rear blade.

+1 Bought my first set of PIAA blades recently and I have been very impressed with them, worth the money in my view
  10. great stuff, get some pics up I think the next Bristol based meet will probably be in June as a lot of folks seemed to have loas going on in May. Keep your eyes on the South West bit in the Meets section, you'll soon find out when something is scheduled.

  17. Welcome aboard Michelle, this is a really friendly forum and there's loads of great info about all sorts of Zed related stuff on the site
  18. A ladybird design would actually be quite cool It's frustrating and a right pain in the arse to be honest, but there we go, such is life.
  19. Thanks Craig, to be honest I'm not convinced it needs a new roof either. The only thing that concerns me is that there seems to be a slight 'ripple' which has appeared at the back end of the roof. I want to go see a few folks, get some opinions and quotes but I had also thought about getting in touch with you as well mate. Having watched you carry out that fantastic work on that Mercedes a little while back I would be more than happy for you to work on the car. I'll see what feedback I get from the bodyshops I'm talking to and then I may well be in touch mate.
  20. Cheers Rich and thanks Heath I'm going to give that chap a ring today and see If I can pop up to get an estimate from him on Monday next week.
  21. No mate, that's the dent marks recorded from the body shop I took it to earlier. They were trying to record where all the dents and stress locations are on the roof. Quite a few as you can see, hence the indication that a new roof is needed
  22. Well I fully intend to let the police know I want a compensation claim added to the criminal case (if that can be done) if they actually take the case to court. The risk being that if the person / people who're responsible for the damage are unemployed, students or the like that may limit the chances of getting anything. However If they are students I would hope that there may be some opportunity for gaining some recompense possibly from their parents / guardians (although I don't think there is any legal basis or precedent for any such claim) I have managed to scoot and get a quick quote done today, going to get a couple more. I quite like this as a potential paint job, would certainly be different New spoiler as I think we could have all guessed......new roof as well now by the sounds of it
  23. The police seem to have a number of leads and as my car wasn't the only car damaged that hopefully means they have a decent amount of evidence to get someone. To be honest it's down to a quick thinking neighbour hearing what was going on and calling the police so quickly that they have managed to get on to things straight away. I live right in the centre of town and unfortunately we don't have a drive or a garage. There is residents parking which is what I use, sometimes outside the house, sometimes along the road a bit, depending where I can find a space. I'm going to look in to renting a garage if I can find one near and which isn't stupidly expensive. or even get a car cover mate... so the drunk fecking hooligans cant actually SEE your car... wish you luck man! Cheers mate, I'm willing to look at anything to stop this happening again
