  1. Bought mine for £9k the same month at 66k if I remember correctly. Just goes to show how quickly things change doesn't it. Although I'm still happy with the price I paid for it at the time......it also came with free smiles
  2. I agree with SMD, tidy looking car but it is a tad overpriced in my view with it being an import. Nothing wrong with buying an import, mines been a real joy since I've had it. If it's got a FSH and it's been cared for by a tech as indicated that's good but you don't want to pay too much over the odds just on that basis. Be interesting to see what your thougts are when you get a look at it tomorrow
  3. Very tidy Rich, looks like you've got yourself a nice one
  4. Welome aboard Claire, hope you're enjoying your new purchase
  5. Sounds promising indeed, let us know if you get anywhere with any enquires
  6. You look to have got yourself a cracking looking Zed there, very nice. Congratulations on the purchase
  7. bronzee is right Sarah, Red is rare in the UK, which makes it the coolest colour and I suspect, although I don't like to boast about it, probably the fastest too Welcome aboard and good luck in finding what you're after, there are some really great cars for sale on the forum at the moment. They may (or may not be) the right Zed for you but even if they aren't, they will give you a really good steer as to condition, mileage, 'added extra's' and owner history in relation to price. There's loads of people on the forum with great knowledge and advice so feel free to ask. If you find a Zed you like the look of put a link or some details up and we can advise. People on the forum are often happy to go and have a nose at the car for you as well if you're not sure whether a car is any good. All the best with finding your new wheels
  8. Like most I try and ignore them and let them do their thing. To be honest I'm more likely to be using the stop at the lights to try and get a wrapper off a Werthers Original, or something equally exciting.
  9. Spotted this morning going past me in the outside lane about 7:20 am, following a black fiat coupe, just after J18 Bath heading towards Bristol.
  10. You'll find one Mick just might take you a few more weeks that's all. Keep your eyes peeled and you'll find the right one with a bit of patience
  11. Welcome aboard Claire, looks like you've got yourself a nice looking Zed there As the guys have said it looks like she's an early import but don't let that be a concern. If she runs anything like my 2003 JDM you can look forward to some real fun As far as the Sat Nav goes when time and / or money allows look to get it replaced by an aftermarket system. There are a couple of guys on the forum who know a thing or two about that, have a bit of a search. Likewise for the radio, keep your eyed open for an alternative to replace the current radio. That being said neither of these things will stop you getting out there and enjoying the car. There's loads of info on the forum so have a good nose around. If you can't find what you're after just ask.
  12. Looks very tidy. Welcome aboard, now you can really get out and enjoy Zed ownership
  13. Top effort Chris, must have been a real bind working your way through that, all your effort is very much appreciated
  14. Spotted you as we were heading back toward Bath after visiting the Roman villa at Chedworth (nice cups of tea in the cafe!). Flashed at you and gave a wave and got a nice back
  15. Spotted on our way out of Bath near the racecourse as you were heading in toward town. Nice looking Zed, gave you a quick flash (ooer missus!) and got a nice friendly wave back
  16. Spotted you out of the corner of my eye, sat at the lights on George Street, as I was heading up Lansdown Road from Broad Street. Gave a you a quick 'toot' as I went over the junction.
  17. Your Zed is stunning Vik, it's a shame you have to sell her I just hope she goes to a decent home!
  18. Anthony Sounds like you've got a fair deal there
  19. As we were walking home, spotted driving around The Circusjust before 7pm, lovely black 50Z roadster driven by a smart looking lady.
  20. Spotted just tucked in the park off the roundabout on Weston Road about 6pm, looked very nice
  21. Blimey, must have been heart in the mouth time
  22. Welcome Ben First thing I would say is don't worry, it's unlikely putting standard fuel in your Zed is going to kill it on this one occasion, as the guys have said. The links Zugara's posted are worth a read, hava nose at them so that you're more informed. Just be gentle on the accelerator and don't push over 5000 rev's. Get some VPower or Tesco Momentum in there as soon as you have a chance, even if its just ten pounds here, ten pounds there to start to bring the ratio of high octane fuel in the tank up. In answer to your question yes, high octane fuel is recommend as a manufacturer requirement, so please use it.You might look like a panic fuel buyer for a few days unfortunately!
  23. Happy Birthday Colin, I hope you had fun day.
  24. Self employed IT Change Consultant / Analyst, currenty working with a telecoms client at the mo but have had similar roles working with finance/banking, manufacturing/retail industry and government agencies. Been talking on and off about going in to partnership with a couple of other guys / gals for the last couple of years but haven't taken the leap as yet. Can occasionally be very stressful (like most things I guess) but for the most part I really enjoy it. I'm lucky that I've worked with some really knowledgeable folks and fortunate that they've been kind enough to share their experience. Still wish I could have been a Spaceman though.
