  1. Pleased for you Calvin, a test of your patience there bud. Top marks to Chris and Bob also, well done chaps
  2. Nice to see Andywc (+Lydia), James and Bennett are going to make it, nice one guys
  3. I'll have to check mine out, can't remember if it has a light. As I looked at the title of your thread I also have a strange 80's pop related urge to say "you may have a light in your ashtray but I have a rat in me kitchen what am I gonna do?...
  4. Welcome aboard, please search and read through the forum, there's so much information to be had. A lot of questions you may have will have been answered before but don't be afraid to ask if you can't find something, we're a friendly bunch.
  5. Milltek and Stillen Y Pipe all the way Oh, welcome by the way
  6. You can always give me a hand if we get to Wales and the end looks filthy  VERY dirty boy! I might polish your tip but I'm not going near that dirty back box Mmmm ok, if you're not up for handling my pipe any chance of applying a dab of Rimwax on my 19" inches?
  7. You can always give me a hand if we get to Wales and the end looks filthy
  8. I think Bennett really enjoyed being around for more of the weekend last year, be good if he can stay over, depending on his shifts I guess. It's brilliant there are so many early 'bookings' so to speak, would be fantastic to hit the 50+ mark again. The positive effort last year from people who'd been to Wales before really seemed to help the 'first timers' feel more comfortable with the whole weekend, it was really good to see. I think we'll be up for another cracking weekend and it will be brilliant to catch up with people again. *although I do need to spend a few pennies after Christmas to get the old girl primed and ready for May* You're not going to clean your zorst are you Straun? lol, needs a bit of a buff Graham, better hope I get some elbow grease for Christmas! Couple of other bits I need to sort as well, luckily I have a few months to get ready.
  9. Hope you survive that Ricey, although I guess it's better to know what might be ahead now rather than spending a load of money over Christmas and then finding out. Another company I worked for decided they would need to cut some staff but would do it in January so as not to spoil peoples Christmas. I persuaded them that wasn't fair to the people what were earmarked for redundancy, they eventually relented. I spent the last week in November and first week in December telling those people they were going to lose their jobs, horrible feeling which made me feel quite sick. However I do remember that a couple of the people I spoke to were actually grateful (as much as they could be) to know up front and before they'd spent a load of money.Didn't make me feel any better but I hope it was the right thing for those people.

  11. I get to attend my clients Christmas party, which all attendee's had to contribute to financially, I expect they might chuck in a round of drinks. To be fair I don't expect anything as a contractor, especially as they are cutting costs and cutting people, so its just nice I got an invite. I think it would be a bit rich if they let a load of people go before Christmas and then allow everyone who's left to 'blast off' at the Christmas do.
  12. Welcome aboard, looks like you've got yourself a very tidy one there
  13. You are a spud-i-like Thanks SMD, you're the best
  14. I normally stare really hard at the windscreen to clear the ice on my car, works a treat. It's a battle of minds. Last time it took from quarter to five in the morning until about midday and it was gone. Got some odd looks from people and initially it was a bit cold but what do they know, didn't cost me a penny either. Also by the time I'd 'out-stared the ice' the sun was up and it was nice and warm and I had a lovely day
  15. SteveW, as DoogyRev's said there's a chance its the bushes from what you've described. Could also potentially be the ball joint if its making a solid 'klunk' and you can sense it. I'm sure one of the technical wizards will be along give you a better informed view though, as I am a bit of a mechanical spud

  21. Welcome aboard, nice to see you finally got yourself one, you'll have a lot of fun. There are quite a few guys on the forum who track their cars, you'll be able to pick their brains and get some good info from them before making any changes.
