  1. Nice to see some thinking ahead and serious commitment, good stuff
  2. Seen a sunset on the A46 heading in to / out of Bath a few times. Think it could be a forum member but not 100% sure
  3. Harry, this is a tricky one, without really knowing what you and your better half like. Safely within your time restriction we've been to Florence & Sienna which were both stunning, especially Sienna which is a beautiful very old fashioned city. Around it are great places like Monteriggioni and San Gimignano, which are again old towns. Lots of opportunity to relax, meander, soak in the culture, good food, wine fairly chilled out but lot of stuff to see and do. Also there's Carcassonne and Avignon in the south of France. Carcassonne again is a beautiful medieval walled city, much like Avignon, with lots of history, great food etc. Without knowing what you guys really like its difficult to suggest. I'm making a huge assumption that you probably want somewhere chilled, relaxing but also where you can go enjoy some food, culture, style etc when you feel like it.
  4. I work, therefore I am working class. I may have assets, potential for independent income generation and a drive to achieve that. However, as yet, I am not a man if independent means although I'm working to facilitate that independence all the time. Will that change my class, no I think not, not here and now. If the Russians hadn't invaded Germany at the end of world war two to create the East German state as it was, seizing all assets and land, then maybe things would have been different, but such is life. Anyway, I have nothing to complain about, not in comparison to a lot of people.
  5. Looks pretty tidy Marc, as they've sold the car before you've perhaps got an opportunity to query them a bit about the sales history, which is good. The number plate rings a bell for some reason, don't know why, could just be me to be fair. Wonder if we've got any members nearby who could have a nose at it with you? Based on the add, looks like a good car. Slightly overpriced as indicated but if you can check the servicing as suggested, get £500 knocked off and perhaps get a few bits thrown in on top, then that doesn't look a bad buy.
  6. Marc, you're about to spend £8500 on a car......I think you know the answer to this question already, get an HPI done, no point in messing around. I still think you should post a link up, it always allows us a better oppotunity to offer advice to you
  7. Hi Marc, welcome aboard Sounds reasonable, possibly a little overpriced, but if the mileage is that low and the service record is good you have some peace of mind. Why not post up a link to the Zed, then we might be in a better position to offer advice.
  8. I stick fairly closely to the speed limit and tend to drive in the nearside lane, unless overtaking or making room for (or avoiding) other traffic. I occasionally exceed the limit if trying to avoid circumstances where I can see driver behaviour looking like it'll cause an accident or put me / others in a dangerous situation.......I also slow down or brake to do the same thing. It's just not worth it full stop, but especially so for anyone who is reliant on driving for a living.
  9. Spotted around Junction 13 on the M4, heading East bound about ten to seven this morning. 58 plate if I recall, scooting along nice and smoothly on the outside lane. .
  10. Will, just caught up on this, really gutted for you mate. I've always wondered that it is that makes someone do this to another persons car Credit to you for your attitude, its the least painful way to deal with the issue. I know when someone ran over my car and damaged it I just felt kind of dissapointed really. The hassle of getting it sorted, obtaining quotes and the hassle of being without the car is what annoyed me most. Rosie's had a bit of poor luck recently bless her, but you'll soon have her sparkling and looking beautiful again.
  11. Welcome Natalie, my condolences to you and your family. Its great that you're coming along to the Wales meet with the Zed. I'm sure you'll get a good feeling and understanding for how and why your dad really enjoyed attending meet ups like these.
  12. Spotted this morning heading along High Street Langley about 8:30-ish, heading towards the A4 London Road
  13. Spotted you about 6:30am this morning heading East on the M4 between Junctions 17 (Chippenham) and Junction 16 (Swindon). You appeared to be making 'significant progress', you naughty ginger you.
  14. Luke0549 raises a fair point, only you know what you're prepared to spend, prepared to forgoe or indeed, totally must have in your Zed. Mines a 2003 JDM touring, has leather, had Bose, but no Brembo's etc With regards to getting things sorted on the car I've been fortunate to be able to pick the brains of guys like ZMANALEX, Tarmac, Mark at Abbey, Jez at Horsham, Ben at Rarerims and ChilliRed (Sara) as well as others to tweak the car and its all been fun. There's more stuff I want tto do but the important bit is that I was fundamentally happy with the car itself to begin with and that's key.
  15. Very nice looking wheels, great to see some proper shots of them Ben
  16. It was a lovely looking Zed Jez, thought they might be popping to you guys for a little 'tweak'. They must have taken a wrong turning after leaving the M4!
  17. Spotted a very nice White 370Z about 8:30 this morning on the M4. You turned off at the Chievely junction, wonder if you were of to see Jez and Carl at Horsham Developments?
  18. And he could play like that with two fingers on his left hand paralysed, not bad eh
  19. You know your budget, you also know what you'd ideally like to get. All you need to do now is to get searching and keep your eyes peeled. Feel free to post up links to anything you're considering. I thought the one you posted earlier was alright for the money, but as you now know having asked a few questions, there may be slightly better options out there.
  20. Well as Cypress Hill once sang - "When the 5h1t goes down, you better be ready...."
  21. Mmm, I thought you were talking about this dude.
  22. grundy225, also be aware that I believe JDM models came in a wider 'range' or 'spec' to UK cars Base Enthusiast Performance Touring Track With a wide variety of included kit or add-on's dependent on the model, like variations in brakes (Non Brembo / Brembo), TCS / LSD, No Leather / Leather / Frost Leather, Auto dip mirrors etc, etc. Just to make it even more confusing for you, sorry about that
