I potter about mostly. I know that might not sound very exciting but with an alarm that goes off around 5am and with lots of driving thrown in I really benefit from a bit of potter about. That being said the better half and I do enjoy travel, theatre, comedy, eating out etc. Nothing radical there I guess but it helps us unwind. Something I managed to learn a few years ago is that you have to be disciplined enough to relax. Sometimes you have to say to yourself "I've got a couple of hours free, what should I do, I need to get that done, need to see this, need to go and sort those out...........actually, what I'm going to do is have a nice mug of tea and read for a bit and kick back." We find planning our travels the best way of unwinding, doesn't have to be anywhere exotic or far away either. Another thing we've learnt is to make sure you have a proper break, weekends away are nice and sometimes just the job. However; nothing will beat that chance to get away, a week minimum, two if possible. We're not beach junkies, we'll always go somewhere with lots to see and do, either culture, history, art.....the odd bar and restaurant etc Its a cliche but its true, you're a long time dead. If and when I get the pearly gates and St Peter says "Is there anything about your life which you regret or wish you could change?". The last thing I'm going to say is "You know what, I kind of wish I'd spent more time at work...." it aint going to happen

WALES 2013 Attendees - piccies please
Bockaaarck replied to Will370z's topic in National Events & Shows
From back in the day, when I was down with the kids -
1) Jaguar D Type - Its got a huge fin for god's sake! Just imagine taking it on to the continent and driving it along fantastic roads in the summer sun through France down through to Turin and then heading down to Bologna, Florence, Rome and down to the Amalfi coast......enough said 2) De Tomaso Pantera - It's bonkers, sounds fantastic and is just a little different. I think its got some real character and presence, I love em. 3) Pagani Zonda F, just such a stunning car, with little (in me view) that compares to it. Having seen a couple in the flesh at Goodwood it was like being a kid again, it was so exciting.

Bock, thanks for the comprehensive reply! however its not the one I was looking for , but that's not your fault!! Ok, Well I have mailed the guys at platinum wheel refurbishment and lets see what they say. what was the price if you dont mind me asking>? I'm running 19's and if I recall the price was about £370 - £380 to get all four wheels done. I appreciate that's not cheap but Platinum / Lepsons have an excellent reputation, as a search on Pistonheads will testify to. They do have a courtesy car which you can use if you're leaving your car and wheels there. However it's booked up for weeks in advance, so bear that in mind. I would give them a ring, you'll probably end up speaking to Naomi, who is really helpful. Give her the wheel details, explain what you're after and she'll give you the options / prices. I think if I wanted my wheels with a lacquered and polished rim it was about £430 - £440. They won't guarantee / warranty wheels with a lacquered and polished rim however, for exactly the reasons I mentioned in my first post, chipping, cracking etc. Cheers, Bock

WINKJ, I had the same problem with my Rota GTR's its a bit of a pain. I really look after my wheels, clean regularly, Rim wax them etc, but I still had issues. I have to give a bit thumbs up to the guys at RareRims who swapped over my previous GTR's no questions when this happened. Unfortunately it happened again with the new wheels and I got really frustrated. The issue is that the lacquer either get's cracked or split due to weathering or because of stones / debris bouncing of the rim. There's not a great deal you can do about that, which is a shame as I love the polished rim and I really love the Rota GTR's. All I can say to you is that I have recently had my Rota's refurbed by Platinum Wheel Refurbishment (formerly Lepsons) in Swindon and got them to refurb the whole wheels, without the polished rim. I have to say they have done and excellent job and the guys also really liked the GTRs. I've decided to do this as I don't want to have a polished rim which gets chipped / cracked again, there seemed little point. I am happy with the refurb and I also know they will last a lot longer before needing a refurb without the lacquered / polished rim splitting and cracking. Probably not what you want to hear I'm afraid but I can only tell you I had the same issue twice and the above was my solution. Cheers, Bock

Spotted about quarter to eight this evening as I was heading through Chinnor on the way to Thame, think it was a 56 plate, looked lovely. Think you were parked just by the Kings Head
-
Spotted heading toward London just before junction 10 on the M40, just before quarter to seven. Nice looking Zed with what looked to be black Rays
-
Spotted this morning, about half seven-ish driving through Pennsylvania on the A46 heading in the Bath.Beautiful red 370Z, looking very nice indeed. Gave you a flash (ooer missus!) and got a cheery wave back

Very hard this, dinner guest list of six for me if that's ok? I'd want all of these people at (or just after) their prime, in historical, social or political terms. Ghandi Cleopatra Neil Armstrong Kate Bush Ayrton Senna Joan of Arc

Spotted heading in to Bath, going by the racecourse at the top of Lansdown this morning about 7:30-ish I think. Think it was possibly choptop but I only got a quick glance as it went by

Agree with what the guys have already said, servicing and care is the key. Mine's on 105,000 and is running sweet, mainly as I keep it serviced regulalry. With a nice big 3.5 Litre V6, the Zed is capable of doing some serious mileage as long as its looked after.
-
Not forgetting those Speed bumps too After having a quick chat to Wasso and seeing that last comment I wont be putting my Eibachs on until after Wales! As Struan has already said, always appreciated how much effort and time you put into making this event possible Yep, a big +1 on that score guys

Fair play Darren, nice shorts by the way As said earlier, I know how much effort goes in to setting these meets up, I'm not sure we always appreciate the effort involved. I know if you and the guys think it'll work for 40+ Zeds then there's a chance we'll do it. If not then whatever decision you guys reach is probably for the best
-
Don't you worry Darren, I've seen from another thread highlighted by Colin this evening how keen you are at 'keeping it clean and easy'
-
Uh-oh, I can see this thread heading directly to 'Wrong'n territory' missing out Go and a collection of £200!
-
Understand the concerns Chris. I know based on the efforts of previous years Wales trips that you and the guys will work out what does / doesn't work and plan accordingly with our best interests at heart

Damn the "You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day"

If you look closely at the pics, it would seem one of 'the girls' is topless on said beach

They look great on the beach

Welcome Stuart, have a good search around the forum (you probably have done already) as there's loads of great advice to be found.
