I know what you mean Andy , I would happily have a joint account, I think the better half probably would do too, we've just never consciously thought about it. For us the money just isn't that important I guess.I can't remember us ever even discussing a joint account to be honest. Probably why we haven't got one.

For some people it might be a trust thing, for us it's not. I don't think either of us can see any advantage or reason to have a joint account, go through to rigmarole of sorting it out. Just seems a bit if a ball ache. In some respects I think, if you trust your partner, who gives a fig about a joint bank account? Why does having a joint account make it more trustworthy? To me it's less, trusting e.g, "...I can see what you're paying in and taking out, every single penny, so I know exactly where the money is coming from and what you, yes that's right YOU, are spending.." Doesn't seem very trusting to me

The better half and I got tickets to see: Ireland v Canada Ireland v France New Zealand v Argentina Quarter Final between group X v Y (can't remember which pools) Really looking forward to it

We have separate accounts, had before we married, still have them now. I pay some of the bills, the better half pays others. For bigger things like holidays, furniture etc we go 50/50. I may get the flights and spending money, she might get transfers, buy all the tickets for stuff we visit etc, buy dinner. It seems to work pretty well. When I'm looking at cars etc, that's my spare money, I wouldn't even dream of asking her to contribute. Although the other day I did see a lovely series III E Type in Classic and Sports car mag and she did offer, with no prompting, to 'go halves' as an investment! In very lucky

Couldn't get on Destiny at all yesterday, it dropped out and disconnected every time. It's a complex environment, so pushing out updates always carries risk. However; it does show inadequate testing took place. They should have backed the update out, had a roll back patch to release and service impact would have been reduced Sounds like they need a skilled and experienced Change Manage there

I would agree that the BBC seem to have an extraordinary ability to get really talented producers / directors but more importantly camera and sound folks ( along with all the other guys and gals back scene) to film some fantastic natural history tv. But it's not only wildlife, BBC documentaries whether to do with the natural world, architecture, history, science etc seem to on the whole be a shining beacon for the organisation. I put that down to teams of very talented people in the background who've been filming, researching, studying, recording, documenting, cataloguing for years and years with a wealth of experience. People who have also been willing and keen to share their skill, experience and talent with new blood coming in to the organisation
