Get an engineers report, there are people that do it. Book it into Nissan complaining of the noise, present the report and something will get done. I am confident at those miles you should not have that noise! Do it now before it's too late and you're out of warranty.

You have obviously failed to read the 1st post - nice one I failed to notice the all important fact that you have never found it heavy...oops as said it is not that heavy, but it does firm up the faster you go

I started back at the gym after 3 years off. I went quite a bit from the age of 18-21, was quite please with my results then I decided to go to uni and I gave up lifting weights for drinks. I lost quite a bit of muscle. Finished uni and I put the most weight on. Only started going about a month ago. It's been a little frustrating as I've decided to give up on the weights for the moment and hit the cardio 4 times a week to strip fat. I do love the gym though makes you feel far better

Hmmm like I said above, I had my gearbox reconditioned (2007 model with 18k on the clock) last week. I hate to say it but it sounded just like your video! Who is your warranty with, Nissan? If it is get it straight down there. I wish I had recorded a video of mine before it went in but just having it back now mine sounds completely different, all you can hear is the engine and that doesn't whine.

You can't really say it any better than that. I do agree with your points though, the paint is thin, the panels are thin, the road noise is quite bad, but then again it's a drivers car, it goes well and looks stunning

I'm hanging in there, thanks for the words of encouragement. I really want to have it on the road for Japfest but there we go. Looks like I might be able to hitch a ride in my brothers R32 GTR if I don't have mine so not slumming it too much Apparently there's a six week wait for a new gearbox, surely that should tell you something. With regards to a new one being better than a reconned one, I do agree to some extent but at the same time a reconditioned/re-built box should be just as good. I think the main thing is that rebuilding a gearbox is not an easy job, it's not the sort of job you're going to give to the work experience kid. I'm just a little doubtful that the garage have the necessary skills to build one up properly. Especially judging by the way the box feels after driving the car to work today at 65-70 when it was in 5th for about 20 seconds it decided to pop out, almost enough to make a grown man cry - I'm back to my old skool merc. Anyway I can't knock them too much, they have fought my corner, and I know they're all Nissan but I didn't buy it from that garage brand new.

Just formatting my SD card and I'm going to reset mine, seems it's sorting everyone's problems out I had mine on my desk in work this morning, thought I'd try figure it out at lunch, the FD came over and was wondering what it was, got him stumped wondering if it was an alarm fob, something to open the garage, he never would have guessed it was a video camera

I can't hear it at work but I had a whine in my gearbox and it turned out to be the lay shaft, if that helps.

from what ive just worked out, holding the keychain towards you and the camera pointing away only the top 2 buttons work.. Top is 'mode' Bottom is 'power' Hold the bottom one to switch on.. light comes on Hold the top one... three blinks and its started recording Press once to stop Hold bottom one to turn off... Nice one mate any idea how to change the mode? Mine is on camera mode at the moment, all good but I want to switch it to video mode.

My joy might be a little short lived. Although I absolutely loved driving it last night, it is a different car now. I never realised how loud the whine was from the gearbox! The engine sounds brilliant. Although here comes the but, 5 gear's syncro is not good. Maybe they have misaligned it? It crunches from 4th to 5th and doesn't seem to sit in 5th gear right, I'm fairly sure it popped out on me at low speeds, but sits in 6th all day long. This must be down to the way the box was put back together as there was never a crunch before. Only problem is I have a bit of a dilemma now as if I speak to them and it goes back in I'm not sure when I'd have it back and I want to make it to Japfest!

Just received mine, one question, what does each button do? There are no instructions! Just a little CD that doesn't work and a USB cable. It's charging at the moment.

I'm so happy, I just got my Zed back. If anyone read my thread regarding my gearbox problem it has tainted my ownership of the car ever since I bought it back in October. I had thought about selling it at times but after a month of it being with a Nissan dealer in Cardiff it is now back in my hands The gearbox has been completely rebuilt and although I've yet to move it I started it up and gave it a little rev, it honestly sounds like a different car, I can actually hear the engine when I give it a little rev on the spot and that V6 never sounded so good. I'm going straight down to the petrol station, filling the car up and going for a long overdue drive I'm so looking forward to driving the car I can almost forget about the huge scrape that wasn't on the car when I sent it to the dealers but as by magic has appeared all along the bottom of the bumper.

Sounds like the discs are warped to be honest and can happen at any time if you thrash the brakes.

Get down the gym probelm solved. The steering isn't heavy.

How old does she want to go? I'd say any 320 CDI Merc. The things are comfortable as hell, my family love them so much we have 2 E320 CDI estates and a C320 CDI, they fly as well and return +45mpg.

I can think of far more expensive cars that would get less use than this! Why not enjoy this bad boy while you're young and neck muscles are still good to go fantastic car, I bet he's really enjoying it!

The most I ever got was 29.9 mpg and that was on the drive home after I got the car from Worthing to Cardiff. I have to say it's never gone anywhere near that since I'll be aiming to get the car in the low 10's when I hopefully get it back tomorrow

I average 21-20 mpg, anything more and you've got one foot in the grave

You'll probably be branded a pedo but worth a try. Society is screwed. I just know if I ever have kids I wouldn't tolerate them being like the kid you described, but then again I wouldn't be a parent like that woman sounds.
