  1. It's for aesthetics mate, makes the wheels sit nicer in the arches.
  2. I remember you used to get balls of these around this time of year, I have fond memories as a kid picking these balls of baby spiders up and putting them in my younger brothers hair
  3. Such a boring race yesterday, to think I could have gone out on the bike instead! Well done to Webber though. Poor performance from McLaren again, Schumi let down by Merc again, I don't know why but I really wanted to see him get up on the podium, shame about the penalty but that's what you get for ramming other drivers. Who's next to win? I think Button needs it more than anyone.
  4. Keep it as it is, stunning 33 and I usually dislike 33s! Big respect for the originality.
  5. I should get a few pics of the old man's cars he has some interesting ones.
  6. Webber to Ferrari next year? Good, get shot of Massa!
  7. Can't speak very highly of the recent treatment my brother received. He came off his bike and slammed to the ground with such impact he broke his pelvis. I witnessed the whole thing, from the accident to the paramedics turning up to the treatment he received in A&E and it was all pretty bad. When he turned up to A&E he complained of pain in his chest, hip area and left foot. So they took an x-ray of his hip area only and left him for about 2 hours until they decided they should take his chest and foot seriously and x-ray them as well. He was laid up in hospital for 5 days in a short stay unit (bearing in mind he had suffered a savage injury and was bleeding internally). After 5 days they pushed him out and said 'see you in 6 weeks at the trauma clinic'. When he came home he looked terrible, he had lost all of his colour and was just in a huge amount of pain. My mum decided due to his state he needed a blood test (apparently something that's a standard requirement when you're discharged from hospital anyway but the hospital staff had failed to do so), she was told by the doctor that he was too busy and wrote in his notes to eat plenty of spinach and brocolli. This didn't sit well so I called a friend who is a trainee doctor and she advised us to rush him in to A&E as it sounded like his blood levels were dangerously low. The following day my brother got a blood test and the haemoglobin levels came back at around 7. For people that know I think a healthy 23 year old should have levels of about 14. He was rushed back in to hospital and had 4 units of blood put in to him. I don't want to say I hope I never end up in the hands of the NHS because I know they save lives and they do a great deal of good but I just don't think I would feel safe.
  8. Slight difference, you can't buy a testicle off the forecourt for £10k
  9. I have a spare one, it's a rockford punch, hell of a sub, very little use. If you want any pics mate, give me a shout
  10. Some people old enough to be my parents on here Good mix though
  11. Amsterdam, done it once, never again. Over priced, shady, sleazy place.
  12. Is it 8L or 8P? I think 8P is double din and 8L is single.
  13. Am I the only one that finds David Croft to be one of the worst commentators ever?! Bridle keeps correcting the idiot all the time!
  14. I know my brother gets his serviced at Litchfield due to the fact that they're specialists and it's cheaper, win win! BWAHAHAHA no. You'll never get 15K miles out of a set of tyres on a GTR, hell I don't get that on the 911 and it's much lighter on the tyres. To be fair though, you'd be mad to buy the OEM tyres again as they're silly money, a set of R888s is cheaper I believe. Even better would be the MPSS if they come in the correct size. Brakes aren't cheap either, and being a heavy car it will eat those up too. On sensible driving you think not? My brothers has 10k on it at the moment with original tyres, granted that's 5k short and they do need changing but it's not been 10k of driving miss daisy.
  15. Haha I'd like to know! Cheers for the responses, its an absolute pain to find parts for a 2010 white zx6r, he might just have to settled for resprayed parts.
  16. That looks stunning, just in the process of buying our first property but it looks nothing like yours
  17. Pretty sure that's punishable by removal of the man card, only women worry that far off!
  18. Cheers mate I'll pick up a copy today
  19. Hi guys, anyone know of any good motorbike breakers? My brother took a slide on the tarmac yesterday and his bike is looking a little worse for wear, it's a 2010 ZX6R in white. Any pointers appreciated
  20. Won £330, I had a tenner on the winner
  21. It's a sad fact, I agree, but the idea of a mouse running around the house while I sleep is not great.
  22. I can sympathise with your dilemma having recently suffered at the hands of a mouse. I was lying in bed about 2 weeks ago and thought I could hear a noise (I assumed it was someone else in the house and thought nothing more of it). I went to turn the light off to go to bed and had the shock of my life, on my bedside table starring at me was a mouse, I'm not afraid to admit it I sh*t myself. I sat there watching this mouse run around my room waiting for a gap so I could open the door and bolt. I was tired so I didn't really want to deal with the prospect of a mouse running around my room while I slept so I thought 'sod this I'm off to sleep on the sofa'. That was the worst nights sleep of my life, I learnt something that night, sofas are not as comfy when you're sober. Anyway upon returning to my room in the morning I had another shock, a kilo tub of Haribo that was sitting in my room was empty, the little bugger had cleaned the lot out and I had no idea where it had gone. So I decided to sort my bedroom out on the weekend as there was a huge amount of stuff in the wardrobe that I hadn't touched since coming back from uni. As I moved boxes I found this: and this in the other corner... I identified the hole that the mouse had come through and set my traps with his favourite food... Whilst I waited for him to bite I started going through my boxes of stuff and to my surprise I found him in one of the boxes. Bit of a dilemma as I thought up close he looked too cute to kill so I thought I'd chuck him on one of the fields next door. After that I heard nothing more of him Until I was sitting in the kitchen a week later having a chat with the old man and saw this out the corner of my eye! look closely at the banana propped against the Peroni box... I don't know why but the sight of this 'cute' little mouse made my blood boil, I knew he would get back in the house but this time I knew it would be hard to catch him as he ran off once I went outside. In my rage I cut up some of his new favourite food and popped it on a mouse/rat trap. Sure enough he fell at the last hurdle and I found this in the morning: mod edit: Removed the last pic to save any complaints from the more squemish members. Lexx] Suffice to say I haven't had a mouse problem since, the end.
