Ponzi schemes .....anyone ever fallen for one.
neo-ninja replied to Ricey's topic in Off Topic Discussion
There was a guy on here who contacted me about one of these (yes a member!) asking me to buy his banner broker package etc... I told him it sounded like a Pyramid scheme and he claimed it wasnt.....was a bit akward... -
Last night we found a camp of around 20 tents, crazy big! found a whole load of cool gear! Were going to be complete bstards and take everything of value and then throw some grenades in to destroy the tents!

Varley did you get it sorted?

Hi All, So the first thing we have to do is try to get somewhere that we can meet up, currently i am in grid reference 0208 on this map: http://dayzdb.com/map#3.023.079 I would recomend trying to find an empty server to start with so you dont risk getting shot by other players, as close to me is where alot of players are on most servers because it has the high value air field. Then general I play on the server called Kellys Heroes What errors are you getting Varley?

The .gov link for a change makes it quite clear actually. Thanks for that!

Well that sucks i guess, doesnt seem fair they can do that.

I have been playing for 2 weeks, and so far for me i would describe it as the fun you have with Minecraft mixed with the danger intenseness of Dark Souls. Its absolutely brilliant! Well worth spending £15 on ARMA 2 for!

Hi All, I couldnt really find anything relevent on Google for this so thought i would ask here, my company is about to move in 1 years time its offices, they have not stated where to, only that they have given notice, and are starting the process. Now the company i work for does not have the best reputation for doing everything by the books and have implied that they can move anywhere they want and if we dont like it we can leave. My argument is that I have just bought a house 10 mins away from work and have budgeted my lifestyle around that for the last year or so. I couldnt afford to move house and i do not live near a station with a carpark. So my question is what happens if they move to somewhere that is A quite far away (there is talk of places that would be 1 hours drive for me around 16 miles) or B somewhere that doesnt have parking so i would need to drive to a station with a car park (closest one is 30 mins) and then get a train to work. Where do i stand legally? Can i ask for a fuel card or more money or something? Or parking permits or fees?

Hi All, Just a quick question to see if anyone out there knows of any Uk zombie fan sites or groups or forums, to discuss anything zombie or horror themed. They must be Uk based - a friend of mine has a project they want to run by some of the people in these communities and see what kind of response he has. I dont really know of any, i have had a quick google search but didnt really come up with anything that was half decent.

Hi All, IM off to Goodwood tomorrow, my first time actually and was wondering if anyone has any advice on things to miss or do, and what times to get there and leave etc.. Really looking foward to it, anyone else going?
-
But thats the thing v8 you get for around £35k with 30-40k miles on teh clock. £35k on a GTR you can find one with only 10k miles quite easily.
-
Is £1000 a year on servicing really that high, i didnt think so. Also fuel is more or less the same as ours. Tires are pricey but not that much more are they really, and should last you easily 15k miles or normal driving. Insurance is barely anything more. There must be something im missing, as it seems to be very cheap for probably one of the greatest cars out there.
-
HI All, I keep seeing GTRs online and how cheap they are becoming, you now regularly see the older 2008/2009 models for £30-35k which keeps making me think if you could get 5-10k for your car and then take out a 4 year loan. Payments are only around £500-600 a month. Makes me very tempted (although im not a fan of car loans) it would mean i could have another of my dream cars! Would you consider it? I know servicing is £500-£700 every 6 months but its not that bad, our servicing is already £150 - £200 every year or so.

Ive always been fascinated by the freemasons. About 10 years ago when they were trying to lose the cloak and dagger image I remember having a talk at school from a head honcho freemason absolutely fascinating and will stay with me all this time, however the school was a catholic school and we were told still to this day you are automatically excomunicated from the catholic church for being one (so instant hell and damnation for you after you die). We were also told by a teacher who claimed to be an ex freemason, that a you went up the ranks you got to go deeper and deeper into the heart of the grand lodge in covernt garden where it apparently became more apparent that by being a freemason you were worshiping the devil. As soon as he realised it he apparently left and became a teacher. (he was an old guy, probably 60odd) * Should probably add the first guy above wasnt the one to say about excomunication it was a monk from the abbey joined to the school - the Freemason said you could be of any faith or religion* Still seems really wierd to me that two different sources would link them to "evil".

HI All, Thanks so much for your help so far. On the weekend i will take up some of the loft boards to see if i can find where the stack should be, and see what it has on the end. But would a DURGO VALVE make the roof smelly and should it be under the loft boards? Secondly what i thought was strange was that the smell doesnt seem to come from the sink or bath holes but rather under the bath and behind the sink (in the vanity unit, see third point) Could this be caused by the dodgy DURGO VALVE (Assuming i have one) and then the smell coming back down outside but inside the wall that hide the stack and back behind the bath etc.. Thirdly, (and im not sure if its me worrying now or not) but the loo sometimes doesnt seem to have perfectly clear water in the bottom a few hours after flushing.... again my miss' mentioned this to me but i have never really noticed.

Hi All, Another question from me! I was wondering if there are any plumbers on the forums? I recently had a new bathroom fitted by a friend of a friend plumber. After we had it done, my miss' complained that every so often she would smell a bad smell in there (not me lol). I never smelt it and didnt think much of it. Anyway 2 months on, i opened the vanity cupboard and was hit by a bad smell, not damp and not pure sh*t but just a nasty smell. I removed the bath side and was hit by the smell again. I have tried looking underneath the bath for a leak but cant see one, and cant see behind the skink or loo as they are hidden by vanity units. There is no damn on the ceiling below or walls. The plumber we have used has since retired and moved away, i was wondering what sort of problem it could be. On a side note the internal stack that the bathroom uses doesnt seem to go anywhere in the roof, ie i cant see any pipe doing to the roof in the loft, it must stop underneith the loft boards? Wierd? Any advice would be great, and if anyone is in the surrey area that would be even better.

Remind me are they rears or fronts?
-
Thanks for the advice all i have basically had one round of negotiation already, and now am going back with a justification for the package i am asking for, they arnt offering as good a pention etc.. so i am factoring that in, aswell as less holiday etc.. Fingers crossed it all works out, and the move is a good one. Hopefully it should prove to be a big step forward towards the GTR i want!
-
Hi All, Thanks for all the great advice, sounds like i really should ask them the pay range they are willing to offer and then go from there. I will just have to think of a polite way to word it i guess.

I would rather not say tbh bud if thats ok. But basically it involves me getting a hunch back and serious neck ache sitting at a pc all day

They had it coming, who ever decided it would be a great idea to have sometimes 4 shops in one town was clearly mental. Also i have heard lots of rumours about them holding knives to games companies throats to secure unfairly low prices etc.. I basically buy most new games, easily 1 a month, but havent bought a game from Game in over 8 years, why would I when i know i can get it cheaper and without having to talk to some random about keyrings i may want when i can buy it on Play or amazon £5 cheaper.
