  1. i have found on my very short journeys to and from work to get around 19-20mpg which means about 250 miles from a tank, not great but if i do longer then i get about 300-350 i recon although tbh as its still very new for me, i enjoy being a bit more right foot heavy!
  2. ...and not "pink slips" or green as i imagine we would call them in the uk
  3. Agreed it should be but if you look on the Smart Roadster forums, and z4 forums people highly condem it, and in the smart roadster case it could actually make the car quiet dangerous to drive about 60 mph. Sounds surpsiing i know but have a look and you shall see... So really i was just after advice.. But im going to give it a go and see what happens, will keep you posted Mark
  4. lol im on my second, luckly is an e74 error so is covered under my 3 years warranty.... there isnt a single person i know who has a 360 over a year and a half old and hasnt had it break... and i would say there are 30+ people in the office alone who have them!
  5. Oh i respect its power dont get me wrong, i just cant help to remember when a family friend had one of the first must have been 10 years ago, and very quickly they became estate agent cars, very much like the mini now.... .....common as muck!
  6. Damn my xbox360 blew up! just getting into Gay tony! Damn!
  7. but would you want to be seen in a focus.....
  8. yeah recon i will just do it, and get it over and done with. See how it goes. Its got to be better then haveing 2 very worn back tires, no matter what i have surely?
  9. would it make a difference if i have them the other way around?
  10. Im just a bit suspect of falkens aswell, as they are as cheap as some of the cheapest tires you can get... and hardly any cars have them as stock...
  11. right next question is does it matter if i have 2 fronts as re040 and rears as re050. As a few places have said that the re040 are now discontinued and have been replaced by re050.. Thoughts?
  12. Why are you going for non standard sizes? Sorry i meant 245/45/R18 96W Bridgestone Potanza RE040 Are they not standard?
  13. TBH i havent found them bad at all, they feel about right in the wet tbh, and road noise i dont find a problem at all. The tire place I am looking at is quoting me about £160 all in for each 245/35/R18 96W Bridgestone Potanza RE040 Seems a tad more then i was expecting but aslong as they last me a fair amount of time, then i will be fine.
  14. i would have thought for that, you would be looking at a 2003-2004 with around 40k miles on the clock, however for a small amount more you could get a slightly newer car.
  15. So people, just got a chance to check the spec of my current tires, ready to start ordering the new one, and on all 4 tires i have Bridgestone Protenza RE040 Is that normal? (i know in my last few cars it was normal to have a complete same set of tires) but i have read people putting larger tires on the back etc... Just need some advice really, let me know,
  16. i always find it suprising just how close cars are matched at actual road speeds. But i guess its all down to how you drive it etc...
  17. jeeze crazy, but where is your dvd, ps3, etc...?
  18. lol but were they inteligent enough to write the numbers the right way around so they made sense to you?
  19. also forgot to say my knowledge of EPS is that when it kicks in you litrally dont do anything (no extra power etc, no breaking) But am i wrong?
  20. jeeze sounds scary were you powering through it?
  21. just seems like a massive pain to start ordering and taking them somewhere, also suprised places do it tbh ~(not that im saying they dont, as obviously they do with so many people having done it!), as presumably they make most of thier money from the tire sales themselves. Its a shame noone can recommend somewhere local. Also on a side note, if one of the tires is on. just above the safety markers does that mean if i get stopped i can be fined and points?
  22. TBh i would rather have a complete set of Bridgestones as, i have heard of people having problems once you start mixing and matching. So the £187 sound pricey... however will look around as i could be wrong
  23. recon they seem expsenive tbh, but how does it work in terms of i order them, then you just take your car to the tire place and they fit?
  24. trouble is i need them fitted aswell...
