Thread reads as if there is some confusion on your offer. They are offering you £5681 and you keep the car, or £7475 and they keep the car. I'd get some quotes locally, you could even just swap the door fairly cheaply if you can find a decent colour match, then it's just the rear quarter? Should leave you with some cash to counter the fact you'll lose on the cars future value because it's a CAT N.

Bonnet dropped off, so both sold now : )

PS: For anyone thinking about a track day but worried about being surrounded by lunatics, a novice or session day with Javelin is great, not too many cars on track and set track times.

Some pics from Mallory September with Javelin : ) First session was quite damp and slippery but second started to really dry out, by the third I was going round faster than before, probably need to invest in some proper track rubber as most of those overtaking me were on much more expensive rubber, only thing then is I'll probably need even better brakes The old girl did well considering she was the oldest in my group : ) Fun day and the sessions, a set 20 minutes per hour, mean it's quite relaxed.

Another great day at Mallory Park this week, slightly better brake set-up worked well, 20mins on 40mins off, did the full 20 minutes every time without any problems. There was even a 370Z roadster going round aswell. Will get some pics up soon : ) Need to get another DWYB and service in before the years out : )

So, as per my other post about selling the carbon bits, I decided to go back to all back panels and get all the trim bits colour coded, including the door handles. Very pleased with the results : )

A few pics from Jap Show at Santa Pod from earlier this year, including one of the winning entries into the show and shine ; )

I'm open to offers and will split if anyone is interested. : ) They're off and boxed up.

Hi, No name tag as they are currently still on my car but I'm taking it back to all black and painting the various bonded trim bits, so am removing the Seibon bonnet and wings. If you've read my other posts moaning about them, you'll already know that the clear/gel coat is slightly cloudy, however they is nothing structurally wrong with them and I had them wrapped to cover the milky goodness (badness). The bonnet is the GTR style vented one and wings are the 10mm wider vented ones. I'll include the indicators with the wings as per the images. The passenger side wrap has a slight scuff. I'd like around £1000 towards my paint costs but am open to offers, the sooner the better as the car is in the paintshop as we speak with costs escalating.

Update: I took Lorns 370Z Roadster to Hoodtech in Chester in the end. Great guys, really seem to know what they are talking about. They had lots of different cars in there, Audi, Jaguar, Saab etc, I arrived, they did a quick diagnostic on it, then confirmed the cost, which was the same as I'd previously been quoted by email. Said they could squeeze it in the same day, which was even better as I'd had a close to 3 hour drive to get there, all fixed and home again same day. Definitely recommend them. I had a it serviced while there and will be taking it back there in future for a roof service.

Well, slightly late post, but the old girl only went and won best Retro at JapShow : ) I'll get some pictures up soon, but needless to say, I was very pleased : )

Quick update, the old girl made it to a few shows shows last year but not much else, will be pulling my finger out and hopefully doing some drift of track days this year, but if all else fails, I'm going to try and get 20 S12s togther, might even hijack one of @davey_83 meets. : )

Sorry if this is repeated loads but I just wanted to post in case it helps someone. My wife's Roadster randomly wouldn't start after a short drive. The steering lock wasn't engaged so I could move the wheel but it had the orange key light stuck on and wouldn't start. I read about someone trying to hit the lock to release it, so though I'd try this as I figured the mechanical part wasn't doing something that was causing the electrical signal issue. I tried it on my own but had no luck, so called out the AA. The AA guy that had come out was great, tried another trick he'd learnt with the same or a similar fault with other Nissans, but it didn't work. I told him about what I'd tried and he said we could have another go, him hitting and me on the button. He did the hammer hits on the steering lock while I tapped the start button multiple times to try and get it on. After a few tries, BOOM, it's got power, in ACC (ON) and a "quick" removal of the steering lock fuse and it was working again as it should. Needless to say, my wife and I were really pleased at avoiding recovery and a massive bill. I will be pulling the fuse on mine over the weekend........
