It's not just performance but what it costs to repair if the worst was to happen, also vehicles value will come into it aswell.

I'm no expert but if the chain stretched then it should lunch the engine not just run rough, I'd personally be looking for a second opinion as it could quite easily be just a cam sensor. Also I've been on here for 5 years and I haven't heard of a chain stretching yet.

Russ' build thread. update 6/3/15 GT Spec Braces

This weekend i got busy fitting the front KW coilovers I purchased from greg at trade link. Whilst I was at it i thought it would be a good idea to underseal the wheel arch behind where the strut goes as mine is an import and has no protection there other than paint first off i rounded the nut on the bottom of the strut trying to get it undone. great start . managed to get it off by hammering on a ring spanner and turning the bolt, phew. both the rear bolt and the drop link nut came undone without too much fuss and then the strut was out. after I finished cleaning up the arch it was underseal time. Excuse the runs. In the words of haynes manuals, reassemble in the reverse order to leave it looking like. I haven't yet refitted the nut on the bottom of the strut on the drivers side as it now as round as a penny so its just the bolt in there for the mean time. the car is still at stock ride height so that will need to come down a touch before i call it finished with but still happy with how they went. Only 195 days until i can drive her again :yahoo: -
sounds like a plan to me

Can anyone recommend a decent external go pro suction mount for use on the car, thinking of doing some track days next year and having just bought an action cam it seems a shame not being able to mount it outside. Ive seen the genuine go pro one but its about £30 so would be interested it there was anything out there as good for cheaper that anyone uses.

I bought myself the garmin VIRB elite hd today on Amazon for £180, it's their competitor with the hero 3 black edition. No idea how good it will be but not a bad price I think considering it had an lcd screen and wifi Edit; it's now 60% off for the next 2 hours!! Wish I had waited now. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00EQ36ZY2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1417192291&sr=8-1π=AC_SY200_QL40#

I've posted before about my run ins with sky insurance and I've found them a complete shambles and rip off merchants. it really has to be one of the worst run insurance firms out there, First off they asked for my certificate of no claims, certificate for the thatcham immobiliser and copies of my driving license, no probs pop em in an envelope and send it off. Few weeks pass by and receive a letter saying I haven sent my license or cert for the immobiliser, to which point I sent a pm to the trader on here saying how can you have one and not the other if there all in one envelope? To the reply oh yes we do have them all, sorry. That was the first year, renewal rolls around at roughly the same price so I went for it, one month in I lost my liscense for medical reasons so I had to cancel the policy, out of the £800 premium they offered to give me back £450 for one months insurance!!! They wouldn't budge at all one bit. They wouldn't just leave it running to let the car sit on the drive, nothing. No option other than cancel the policy. So I had been shafted out of half of my premium. And then the fun of waiting 2 months to get my £450 back and again having to wait another 6 weeks and numerous phone calls to get my certificate of no claims, where the call staff were about as much use as a chocolate tea pot. Compare to tesco who insured my other car, they waived the cancellation fee and gave me back what was due on the premium on a pro rata basis which I think is fantastic customer service. And the money was in my account a couple of days later. I'll defo be going back to tesco in the future if they are competitive, where as sky I wouldn't p*** on if they were on fire.

Spotted black facelift in the underground car park below ENI engeneering. It has a few mods that I can see, scorpion back box, black badges and Michelin SS tyres and a reversing camera in the rear bumper. Nice looking example

my dad had one for his lancia, it has fans that keep it inflated and they blew in rain so it filled up with water and had puddles underneath his car which then condensed when it was sunny so the car was still getting wet. It lasted about a month and its been the shed ever since with him moaning about how much it cost him.

I hope all the rest of them kicked his head in, the driver of the Clio could have been killed. I know it's not to the same extent but you see pricks like this in Sunday league all the time, get beaten a few times then just try and break the players leg the rest of the game. Its a damn shame.

I really am hoping that Lewis does a Senna/Prost on the first corner and wipes him out totally. It would be a beautiful bit of karma.
