I have just fitted my kitchen, the best advice i wiuld give you is plan everything and follow that. I know sometimes thise plans need to be bent but it made my life so much easier. Make sure all your measurements are correct Check where all the sevices are and how you will run the new feeds and waste ect Make sure that there is an electrical supply close by. Only buy decent stuff or get the guy to recommed where to get the materials. If your not confident yourself get a professional. I would remove the worktops and re-jig the kitchen. More hassle in the start but easier to maintain.

Oh go on then! I'll take a packet of orange. How many bolts are there roughly that can be seen that needed to be replaced? I know that there is 10 in a pack, but i would like to do enough to make a difference. Sorry for the stupid question.

thats a scotch block. they are good for interior stuff but i wouldnt use them where water could be present. trying to get them water tight is much harder too.

i always find it easier a less likely to cut through using a sharp knife to cut the sheathing off. anywhere along the cable is fine. use plenty of tape or heat shrink to create a good weather proof seal.

i have had the silver satin ones and the black ones. both have faded over time. think i might whip them off at some point and give them a spray.

my advice is to sack them off, on my previous car i added an exhaust mod and they wanted an extra 200 quid. also i canx my policy early because the buggers wanted an extra 1500 to change up to the Zed from my ST, i was 6 months in, but worked out cheaper to get rid of them and start again. have at look at: chris Knott sky insurance adrian flux and livingston warnam all to be found on here, that offer very good discounts for forum users

First you need to determine what cables you have coming out of the house. Sounds like you have Live Neutral Switchline ( that allows you switch the lamp off or into auto. ) Earth Is there a switch in the house somewhere that allows you to turn it off? You can ditch the switch line as its not needed unless you really want to turn it off at night for some reason. Put that in a block and tape it up. Find out what the live and neutral are. Some sparkys have different methods but i always use black as the neutral on a four core. And grey on the switchline. However this should have sleaving to identify it. Test if you have 240 between brown and black. If you do happy days they wire it up as that chap said in the vid. Job done
