  1. Got the sensors in stock if you need one
  2. The two ways we've found work well is to weld a length of 1" box section to the tube, then with with car in the air stick a big bolt through the box and hammer the tube down. Failing that pull the arm off the bush so you're left with the tube on the chassis. Cut off the rubber and use a hydraulic puller to pull the tube off the chassis.
  3. We're had cars like that - the crush tubes become totally siezed to the chassis. We've got a few techniques to get them off now.
  4. I'll be about until about 2pm this Friday
  5. Not usually open on the weekends I'm afraid - will be about on the 31st in the morning though If you'd like us to check it out before then, it'll have to be during the week.
  6. If you'd like us to check it out, let me know. We've got all the parts (flywheels, clutches etc etc) in stock and can fit them or send mail order
  7. Give us a call or drop me a PM if we can help 01635 247477
  8. Got them in stock: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=25465 Google shopping only shows results for people who pay for it...
  9. Only just seen this - looking good. All the pics of the shell prep bring back memories. Just takes soooo long.
  10. Welcome We're just along the M4, J13 if you need any work, servicing etc carrying out.
  11. They're great cars. A friend / customer has the turbo version - we've just fitted Syvecs to it, although it's not 100% finished yet. Should make around 320bhp which will be great fun. The owner is hoping to compete in Time Attack next year with it, after he's fitted a few more go faster bits. Couple of pics here:
  12. Took this out round Anglesey circuit last weekend - it is just mental. The fastest track car I've been in easily. Makes my Zed seem sooo sloooow...
  13. £1k for a fan! They're having a laugh - I think we have the motors in stock: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=78_169_293_472_476&products_id=25486 - can send out mail order or fit them for you if you can make it over to our workshop - we're based near Newbury in Berkshire
  14. Standard Nissan - drop in air filters make bugger all difference to power.
  15. Good to meet you trackpig. Had a great day out on track, Cadwell is brilliant. Vid looks superb. Seems like we were pretty much even on track - turns out we have very similar car spec: same tyres, brake setup, suspension (pretty much) and standard engine - although mines got no interior and a cage. All good fun, got a bit of an oil leak now though.
  16. The biggest thing that got me thinking is why aren't the mining machine manufacturers not running the machines themselves? Guess its the old "when theres a gold rush sell shovels" thing...
  17. The gearbox has to come off, thats the majority of the work - once thats off the clutch comes off in about 5 mins. You're not supposed to grease the bearing as its phosphor bronze.
  18. Sound like crank spiggot bearing? Part is only a couple of quid but you have to take the box off to replace it. It should have been replaced with the clutch but doesn't come with most kits.
  19. Nasty. Looks like the retarder on the dyno blew up...
  20. I've done a bit of CAN bus reverse engineering. I used a CANdo interface - makes it nice and easy as it'll list all the nodes and give you a table of data in real time and will also log the stream if you like. You can also send data onto the bus to make stuff happen. I was helping the guys from Syvecs get the 350Z dash board (engine temp, rev counter, CEL etc) and ABS wheels speeds etc for their 350z kit.
  21. Hello We're just off J13 M4 if you need anything.
  22. I've been using the car mainly - haven't changed a lot as it all works really well. The main performance change I've made is that I've fitted Federal RS-R tyres. They're pretty good, not as good a R888s but at half the price I can't complain. I've done a couple of trackdays this year so far. And off to Cadwell on the 30th May. I've got a collection of parts piling up to build a turbo engine: Darton sleeves CP pistons Steel conrods ARP head and crank stud kit Twin plate clutch and flywheel ID725cc injectors Fuel return system Just need to get the machining done and get hold of a turbo kit and it'll be running some more power. Should make it a bit faster down the straights. I'm probably going to go for fairly small turbos and aim for a low-ish lag setup and 6-700bhp. One thing holding me back is that at the moment it handles great ands it very well balanced. Its quite rewarding and fun to drive. If I get a shed load more power it'll make it more point and shoot... In other news, I've figured out how to re-flash the OEM ECU so will hopefully be able to offer cheaper remaps in the future - got a few hurdles to overcome but I'll get there. I've developed a 95 RON fuel map for a standard engine + standard exhaust system - this was what I was running at Japfest.
