  1. The term resonated is used for pipes with a silencer. Un-resonated is just a straight pipe. Not sure why people just don't use silenced and non-silenced. Un-silenced pipes tend to be louder (obviously!) and more raspy. We have silenced pipes in stock: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... 9a9b1b8bf5
  2. Glad you got it sorted. Seems odd that an oil change would stop the knock - but if it has, it has Has it made any difference to the exhaust tip soot differences?
  3. I've just had a look in the service manual and its a fairly complicated setup. Theres 3 relays, to control the fans speed. If Alex has the motors in stock then I'd guess that he's seen failures before. I've attached the wiring diagram and the diagram showing when the fans should be off, low speed and high speed.
  4. You'd need to find out if it was the fans, wiring, fuse, relay or temp sensor thats at fault and replace as appropriate. Check the easy stuff first: fuses and relays
  5. We have one in stock - brand new: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/index.php?cPath= ... 93_472_480
  6. Sorry! Missed your post. All went well thanks - the guys involved were really pleased with the work we did I'm not sure when the next one will be - but I'll be sure to post up when we can fit one in.
  7. I don't think they are now - I've got SR cometic and Cosworth gaskets and they're definitely different. The Cosworth one has a thicker section around the bore, presumably to give a better bore seal. Not sure if these guys will do you a 100mm VQ gasket: http://www.powerenterpriseusa.net/produ ... asket.html We use their 90mm gasket on our SR - that's been making 600bhp with no gasket probs at all. I know Mazworx use the same gasket for their 1000bhp+ drag SR. I've heard of (but never experienced myself) Cometic gasket failures.
  8. As above - FI is the most cost effective way to get to 350bhp. Bolt on mods like de-cats, plenum spacer and a remap usually gain around 15-30bhp. You could get 350bhp staying NA, but you'd be into cams, raised rev limits (and the associated costs with that), tuned manifolds etc.
  9. I'm obviously mistaken - unless you were about a couple of weeks ago
  10. I'm sure I've seen the Aston around - are you in the Henley area?
  11. DBA 4000 slotted disks now in stock. Buy online here: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/index.php?manufacturers_id=40
  12. Now on the web site: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... s_id=25417
  13. You can disable it by disconnecting the power (or adding a switch) to the yaw sensor: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=46078&start=30 Great if you track the car as it disabled traction control and the brake assist thing which I found intrusive.
  14. I did some testing with standard versus Cosworth filter and it made no difference to power on a relatively unmodified engine (I think we had plenum spacer, de cats and remap). I'd advise against an oiled filter - the afms don't like the oil much, going on past experience with other Nissan hot wire AFM cars.
  15. Not sure - would love to come along, but I've already got a number of days already booked - trackdays are never cheap. I got through about £80 of fuel today, average 9.3mpg
  16. The boot weighs a ton doesn't it? I took the struts off just to see what it was like and its dead heavy. I'm thinking carbon boot + pastic rear window along with bucket seats. Hope fully that'll remove a bit of the weight. That combined with some RS-Rs or R888s and it should be flying
  17. The sound in the vid seems like the exhaust it vibrating against something...
  18. Cheers - got to love the little £8 key fob cameras It may look a bit damp in the vid, but the track was dry. The Atom should have been a ton quicker through the corners, but wasn't.
  19. Just got back from a great trackday at Goodwood. It was pretty wet when I arrived, but soon cleared up. There was a pre-war Alfa there, on its maiden trip after a full restore (with twin super chargers) - sounded awesome. I took our 350 on track and it performed brilliantly. Couldn't ask for more. We're recently added a set of Superpro bushes and it's made the car handle really well. Heres a vid of me chasing an Ariel Atom - he was quicker in a straight line but I still managed to keep up I've only got basic mods on the car at the moment. Spec: Standard wheels Cheap Vredestein road tyres Standard GT interior - heavy!! Engine mods - making about 310bhp: H-Dev plenum spacer H-Dev de-cats H-Dev Uprev remap Suspension: Super-pro bushes all round Racing Logic coilovers Everything else standard I think the next set of mods will be to try and reduce weight - 350Zs are so heavy...
  20. its not so bad. Mainly product testing Last year we did very few trackdays, just trying to put that right this year.
  21. I'm really temped by this. Already going to Goodwood tomorrow, Cadwell on the 20th and Donington on the 25th... But I do love Combe...
