  1. Thanks Daryl - good to meet you too. Hope to see you again soon Bring more Red Bull
  2. Thanks Mark - I wondered if that'd be the case.
  3. Chris - glad your car is improved I'm not sure if the 350Z is more sensitive than other sports cars, but if the alignment is out then it will have an effect. If your car has any peculiar traits its worth getting them checked out.
  4. I'm going to be fitting a pair of Sparco Evo 2 bucket seats to my 350 soon and wondered what seat mounts people are using. I'm after some that keep the seats as low as possible and have some adjustability on the drivers side. I could make something up, but would rather buy off the shelf if theres a known good solution.
  5. Just confirmed You can like by business page as well if you want: http://www.facebook.com/horshamdevelopments - you can keep up with all the other things we're up to Car just seems to feel much more planted. It goes over bumps in the road without deviating from the line you're taking and generally tracks driver inputs more accurately. I've not noticed any difference in NVH (noise vibration or harshness) at all - so theres no real compromise. I've had SuperPro bushes in my 200SX for about 10 years now and they all seem to be fine. In fact SuperPro were interested in examining the bushes to see effects of age, but I didn't really want to strip the car down. The 200SX has been used on sprints, hill climbs, trackdays and won a few rounds of Time Attack over the years, and it running around 600bhp on semi slick tyres, so they've been well used. There are a few vids on the Facebook page, but, to be honest, you can only really tell the difference from the feel of driving the car. We finished a customers car on Friday and he collected yesterday - this was his (unprompted) post: http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=506637
  6. Thats what I was going to say I'm running the complete bush set and it's transformed the car on the road and on track - really didn't think it'd make so much difference. PM me if you'd like more info
  7. Quite likely to be an air leak somewhere - although I don't think you'd have disturbed anything just doing the belts?
  8. Left is an immobiliser. Right, if yours is an import, aftermarket fog light switch?
  9. Heres another lap chasing a mate in his BMW
  10. Its a great circuit - love the hills. 1m35s is good for your first session. I was doing 1m19s in the old 1.8 200SX. Hopefully get the 350Z round a bit quicker than that in the future
  11. Just got back from a great track day at Donnington. It's been about 5 years since I've driven there - the last time was in 2006 where we won Time Attack CC in our 200SX S13. I was the only 350Z there amongst a load of Clios, along with a few mates from Northloop. The 350 behaved well, with no problems at all - although I could do with better brakes. Car hasn't really got many mods at the moment and seriously needs to lose weight. It's got a full interior, Racing Logic coilovers and Superpro bushes all round. Standard brakes, but with Yellowstuff pads, still running normal road tyres. Engine has our upgrade package (H-Dev silenced de-cats, H-Dev spacer and remap) producing around 309bhp. Heres a lap, not my quickest (quickest was around 1m29s) Had a bit of a sideways moment at the bottom of the Craner curves.
  12. Nissan specify 5w-30, 5w-40 or 10w40 - so any of those will be fine. I'm using 10w-50 as the engine in my car has knackered piston rings and it slows the rate of oil loss...
  13. Theres actually a fair amount of clearance - the lowest part is the ARB I think. I didn't think the setup I have would work with a FI engine. Wouldn't be much work to move the cooler some where else though.
  14. LOL - maybe I should have Cooler pics are here - its mainly Mocal parts (thermo plate, fittings and cooler core). Its a kit we hope to be able to sell soon - although it probably won't help the FI guys - but moving the cooler core shouldn't be too difficult. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 830&type=1
  15. Sounds like you had a great day I popped in to Combe today but couldn't find anyone near their cars. I saw a couple of 370Z and a silver 350 in the area where you wait to go on track but didn't want to seem like a mentalist shouting from the fence. Keyser - if you need an oil cooler, get in touch - we can help. Just fitted one to my car
  16. Not sure why I've only gained about 0.33 deg rather than the full 0.5 - I installed them as you have them in the pic above. At least its a gain in the right direction
  17. We fitted the complete set of Superpro bushes to our car a few months back. They totally transform the car. We went for the alignment adjust kit, so we can run more front caster and camber and get the rear camber right. I've done a few trackdays now (was at Cadwell yesterday) and it improves the handling no end. I've got a few pics on our Facebook page, along with some other stuff: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 830&type=1 'Like' us here and you'll get updates about all the other things we're doing: www.facebook.com/horshamdevelopments
  18. I'll try and pop over if I can. If theres any spaces left I might see about getting on track too
  19. 8mm is about the thickest you can go without removing the strut brace. We can supply spacers that we developed in house and are made in the UK. Off the shelf they're 8mm, but we can get them custom made to almost any thickness. We've supplied them up to 20mm (for a VQ engine that was in a racecar) in the past. http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... s_id=25052
  20. Can't believe theres so little interest. See you there Dave
  21. Usually it would be. Dano got lucky
  22. Yes - its Y-piece back. Fitting is £35.99 inc VAT.
  23. Braking is not something you'd want to skimp on - especially if you're as enthusiastic driver. At the moment our track car is just running OEM Brembos and yellowstuff pads. They're adequate on track but quite a long way off ideal. The best pads we've found so far are the Performance Friction 01 compound - very dusty though and probably not the best choice for a road car. We've not tried the EBC disks yet, but do have DBA in stock: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/advanced_search_ ... s=350z+dba
