  1. We've just had a shipment of Superpro compression arm bushes - plenty in stock now
  2. Robbie is very well respected in GTR circles: http://www.valetmagic.com/nissangtrsection.htm
  3. OK Then the push is on Mid August is now the target date Gives me a month I'll make some calls and see how likley that is and update! Any news? Do you think it'll be ready? It'd be great if we could get a few Zeds together for a track day
  4. You can get cheaper OBD loggers, but the Uprev cable is Nissan specific and works on JDM cars etc.
  5. Glad you got it sorted If there was an exhaust leak then there could have been air being drawn in which would have made the ECU think the engine was running really lean. To log AFR correction (amoungst other things) we use the Uprev cable: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... s_id=25507
  6. We just put down a deposit on a Dyno Dynamics rolling road. It's something we should have done a long time ago, looking forward to it now. http://www.dyno.com.au/index.php/2011-0 ... namometers The dyno room is being built in our larger 2nd unit at the moment - we're having to sound proof it quite a bit so we don't annoy the neighbours. We hope to be up and running mid August I'll get some more pics up as we go.
  7. Which date do you fancy: http://www.trackdays.co.uk/calendar/fil ... s=&prices= 31st Aug or 3rd Sept would be good - open pit lane, only £159 - will your car be ready then Keyser?
  8. Haven't had a chance to do a great deal to the car recently. We have fitted an accusump to the oil system - this will help reduce the chance of oil surge when running slicks on track. Took the car out at Blyton Park last weekend - as usual the car ran without any problems and was great fun. Docwra was there too, although our paths didn't cross on track. Going to Rockingham on the 12th August, with a 430bhp S13 and a ~600bhp RX7, if anyone is interested
  9. That fault code isn't for the usual inefficient cat error after fitting HFC/decats (they are P0420 and P0430). P1273 is because bank 1 sensor 1 is reading lean compared to the target mapped into the ECU and the closed loop system is having to correct too much to get the AFR within spec. A few things things can cause this: a leak in the exhaust system before the lambda sensor, the target thats been programmed into the ECU is way off the AFR that is achieved from the compensation table, lambda sensor fault or it could be you have a fuelling issue. If I was diagnosing it I'd log the afr correction and see if its having to correct a lot to get to the fuelling target - and go from there.
  10. We do sell them, and have one in stock: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/index.php?cPath= ... 93_467_468
  11. OK, so the Haltech is using 0-5v out from the AEM gauges? Syvecs can do that too. It'll also control nitrous really well - you only need a dry system as you can map in extra injector pulse width on the standard injectors as the nitrous solenoid is fired.
  12. The best thing about syvecs is that you have full control over everything. I think the Haltech is probably more 350Z specific in that it might support the OEM lambda sensors (although I'm not 100% sure) - sounds like the issues you're having are more of a calibration issue? I like the Syvecs as the hardware and software is top quality (Syvecs is produced by Life Racing - the hardware and software is pretty much the same - Life Racing ECUs are used in top end motorsport cars and Syvecs is the road going version, although its still got a strong motorsport bias)
  13. All depends on what you're after. I'm not that familiar with the Haltech to be honest. Do you feel its missing something?
  14. CAN is an acronym for controller area network - basically on modern cars all the ECUs talk to each other over a CAN data network. This simplifies wiring and allows things like the engine ECU to tell the dash board engine rpm and engine temp, for example. It can be a bit of a faff to get it all working properly, and thats what we sorted out yeserday. Give me a call at the office 01635 247477
  15. Funny you should mention this now - we just got all the CAN stuff working yesterday I've not mapped my car yet, but we have the dash board working and the ABS wheel speed sensor info is also being passed to the Syvecs so we can do fully configurable traction and launch control. I've been using Syvecs for years now, and it's brilliant. If you're interested give me a call / email and we can go through the options.
  16. As Neil says, blue stuffs are pretty good on track. My preferred choice would be the Performance Friction 01 pads, but value for money the Blues are great. I'm only running around 300bhp on road tyres at the moment. I'm going to try slicks soon and I have a feeling I may need to upgrade to larger rotors, but we'll see. I'm off to Blyton this weekend and have Rockingham booked on the 12th August (http://www.bookatrack.co.uk) - come along, it'd be good to meet up with more 350Z trackers.
  17. Cheers for that, glad you're pleased
  18. I might be up for it I drive past Reading everyday to/from work - live near Twyford and work just off J13 Newbury.
  19. I got given this for my birthday from my "mates":
  20. The difference between the 1st and 2nd readings are pretty large - we usually see a max of +/- 5' (1' = 1/60th of a degree) Depending on how they use the machine its really easy to get incorrect and non-repeatable results - we've been doing alignment for a while now and usually get it right first time. The only problem is when you have ball joints etc that are worn
  21. It gives the plenum more volume, which allows the engine to breather better at high rpm, which gives you more powers
