  1. Looking at your picture, I would say you will use the ones circled red as they will be post CAT. The 350z has 4 sensors - 2 each side, one Pre CAT and one post CAT. The pre CAT sensor is fitted on the manifold downpipes so you won't need to touch them. The post cat sensors are the ones fitted on the rear of the OEM CATS so they will be the ones you swap over to the RED one on your picture. The others (green) will be spares if you wanted to fit AFR gauges etc...

  3. Just to repeat what toon Chris said above, as it seems to have been missed... The solid EML on the dash means it's probably in limp mode and you should not drive it. It normally points to something a little more serious. I doubt that will be the post cat o2 sensors as that would give a flashing light. Read the code asap and definitely before you drive it again, just in case. It could still be nothing major but there is a two stage warning light for a reason.
  4. We actually did Yeah! Well a credit note with them to the full value. We were quite suprised as well. I think because they knocked it on the head at lunch time, they had to give us something or we would have just waited to see if we could get an hour in the afternoon if it cleared. Wasn't expecting the full amount though.... Well done javelin.
  5. Well unfortunately............. the circuit was smothered in fog that wouldn't lift so the event got cancelled at lunch time with zero track time. This was as close as we got.. Was nice to meet Andy, Ken, keyser and family, but shame they all had to travel so far for nothing. Chris' radical certainly looks the part but he still doesn't know how it drives Hopefully catch up with you all at another track soon.
  6. Well it seems there are gonna be a few of us at the Snetterton track day tomorrow. For those that are not on the track day pm list, I thought I'd just put a post up incase anyone else wants to join us on track or just come along to say hello as a kind of mini meet. So anyone at a loose end tomorrow and fancies coming to say hi, get a passenger ride or fancies a go on track at a great and safe circuit you know where we are. Anyone wanting to go on track, it's with javelin track days and £129 for the full day. Hope to see some others there!
  7. Good results Chris. Glad it went OK in the main with no major issues. Shame about the fueling though. I'm sure it be enough for the next few winter months. It'll give you something to look forward to.
  8. Good info. Not a problem I have come across as yet but I have the OEM hose fitted still. If it happens in the future, I'll know where to go.
  9. Hope it all goes well tomorrow Chris. Mark will keep you right. My guess is..........398 @Hubs
  10. Very nice indeed! Very jealous. Looks really good for its age and a good buy for sure! FWIW, I like the headlight covers.

    do they suit

I've always liked this style of wheel. Hasn't Caroline, 'Jetset's' wife got these on her car? I'm sure I've seen pics on here of them on a 350. How many sets of wheels have you had in your ownership Bob? and include colour changes in the tally.
  12. No one could pronounce my surname at school , so it got shortened to McGoo. The first bit is pretty obvious.
  13. Sorry to hear of you issues, not much to say that hasn't already been said and seems you have decided to suck it and see anyway. It doesn't help you now, but in future ALWAYS check the fluids on a car your viewing. It can very often indicate how well looked after the car has been, or if its has really been serviced recently. You said it was serviced over 6k miles ago, and you obviously have been running with the oil too low for a few hundred miles. I would highly recommend carrying out a service now. There is a high likelihood that you'll have some metallic particles in the oil now due to the low oil level so I would want to get them out ASAP if it were mine. In fact, it may be worth you sending the oil for testing just to get a report on how much metal is in there. If its a normal amount for 6k miles then you can relax a bit, if not then at least you have some evidence to hand if the worst happens and the engine lets go in the next 6 months. It is well known that low oil in this particular engine is a killer. The oil pressure light on the dash will only illuminate when the oil pressure drops to a dangerous level meaning the pump will be cavitating and oil will not be going to the moving parts during this period, thus causing the irreversible damage that Alex and others have been talking about. It's not scare mongering, it's fact. As has also been said though, you may be lucky and it may be very little damage. Getting the oil drained and checked is the simplest way to get some sort of idea how much without spending ££. Good luck
  14. Nope, no drive-train upgrades necessary. I'm over 33K miles Supercharged, without issues. Still even running the OEM clutch.
  15. This used to be very popular when I had my Supra. An awesome bit of kit! I love the way you can set just the amount of slip you want so can get the rear moving around safely without any harsh interruptions. (away googling prices as we speak lol)
  16. At last..... the money shot! Looking good Gareth and good numbers. They are a lovely car to drive with the S/C, just 'right'. Nice linear power delivery and very predictable so its easy to press on with confidence. I'm glad the CAI guide was of some use to you.
  17. Congratulations on the purchase. Not much sleep for you tonight then. I love the feeling of getting a new toy. Looking forward to the pics.
  18. The lidl /Aldi ones come round once or twice a year and are meant to be pretty good for the money but I'm sure they are only 25 litres. I bought mine from S's this year, and it seems pretty good. It has only had light use so far though. I went for a 50ltr starter kit with some extra hose and a tool kit with a good selection of air tools in it. And they look cool in black and blue lol Have a look here http://www.sgs-engineering.com/air-compressors
  19. Good write up so far Gareth. Cheers for the mention and been a pleasure answering your questions. Looking forward to the interesting stuff :drive1and how its all come together.
  20. Check your getting a good seal on the filler cap. Check the EVAP solenoid. Its located behind the plenum near the bulkhead. Could be faulty or more likely one or more of the hoses going to it could have split. Any fuel smells around the engine bay?
  21. Have you tried a throttle position reset?
