  1. Blimey, I have no idea if thats normal, but it looks alot. So without a catch tank all of that would be going into the combustion chamber? That can't be good.
  2. Now thats black! Very stealthy, like it. Not seen many Zed like it. Lots of the Supra owners done this and I wasn't sure about it, but I think on the zed it looks pretty
  3. Half a cup of lemsip with half a cup of whiskey is the way to go! Medicinal.....but still gets ya
  4. As above. Is anyone going ? (10th Oct 2010) I was thinking about popping along to see the Time attack and Drifting weather/work depending. I may well go with the Supra club but thought I'd see if anyone from here was going. Link here; http://www.modifiedlive.co.uk/page.php?a=5&s=48&p=48 "Modified Live at Snetterton has a great reputation as the last one of the year to being the show season and Time Attack / Drift seasons to an almighty close in style. Featuring the finals of both Time Attack and the European Drift Championship, the on track action is non-stop with inveral entertainment by 1000 bhp trucks, bikes and much more - if you have been there before - we know you'll be back for this year."
  5. Welcome to the forum. Have a read here for some pointers viewtopic.php?f=17&t=23843 And as you are already doing , let us have a look at your potential buys. I would also highly recomend buying a car from a club member. - They are usually well looked after, and in most cases alot of their history can be traced back on here.
  6. I can't see vids at work, but those pics are seriously thought provoking.
  7. Pic Whore! Looks nice mate. I will be looking into a grill and re mounting the plate.
  8. Thanks. I would have loved to do the conversion myself for the satisfaction, but just couldn't justify the extra £ks. I did alot of reading on here and used the manual method to read my error codes. They came back as 420 and 430 ie 'catalyst system'. Should be nothing serious I hope. I reset them. I have done 3 to 400 miles and they have come back 3 times, nearly always when at WOT. I assume because of the SC and decats the sensors are getting too much flow. I haven't been able to check if there are the spacers fitted to the sensors yet, but will next time I'm under the car. I would have loved to come to Japfest and say hello to a few members but I'm offshore at the moment.
  9. This should probably be a ' DIY stone chip repair' thread on its own, maybe a sticky MODs ??
  10. WOW, Great right up! Not sure I have the balls the to go at my paint with w&d though. I take it it the same process with any colour? Are lighter colours (GM) easier or harder than black to hide your efforts?
  11. Not the best product in the word, BUT it does work and you can get it in any motor factor cheap!
  12. Thanks for posting them. Now I think that looks really Mmmmm
  13. I have a set of bulbs to get rid of the 'fried eggs' waiting for me to fit along with LED sidelights, interior leds, numberplate leds and fog led. (I'm away working at the moment) I have been considering the grill, just not decided on colour yet and weather to remove the OEM pieces or just mount it behind. I'll have a search regarding the numberplate. Bumper off job I assume? There must be holes left behind yes? That is my main concern. I actually do like the look they give but don't like the fact that up close they look like cheap add-ons. I suppose the only way to prevent that would be to fix/blend them into the bonnet. You mean growling? A mixed bag of opinions as expected. Thanks for your input. I'll have to have a think about it. Just out of interest (I'll probably get flamed for this) has anyone tried a paint matched vinyl piece instead? I assume it would look really cheap and nasty but wonder if it would look better than the traditional ad-ons at it would stay flush to the bonnet?
  14. Love that first picture! The front end looks Nice car , great price. GLWTS.
  15. Youtube is your friend. There are a few vids on there of various set ups. It very much depends on the setup and supercharger ie centrifugal like the vortech or roots/ twinscrew like the stillen. The Stillen would sound like you would imagine a SC to sound like, ie a powerful whine like the ones used in most OEM supercharged engines. My experience with the Vortech (centrifugal) one is a strange sound, sort of a cross between a SC and turbo. It has a mechanical 'rattle' at idle. When cruising at low around town speeds with not much throttle it 'whistles' like a small jet engine. When at speed on partial throttle it 'shhhshes' from the unused air escaping from the bypass valve. When at WOT it sounds Kind of a 'loud whining induction roar' followed by a very loud 'Tshhh' from the bypass valve when lifting off or changing gear. On my setup the exhaust is very quiet, so all the SC noises are very audible. I imagine with a louder exhaust you would stuggle to hear anything but the bypass valve. I haven't had a chance to do a vid yet but its on my list. *****Edit***** see below for vid.
  16. Welcome. It must be lovely to be in a position to have a dedicated track car. I wish I had the cash/room for it.
  17. I know these are a love or hate thing and most don't like them (usually including me). But on some Zeds they do look pretty mean and then I quite like them. Thing is I think it all depends on the look of the car to start with. So......here is my very poor photoshop attempt to see what they may look like on mine. Would my car carry it off? Without With Without with What ya reckon? or
