  1. Went to Bedford today for a track day. My first one there and I really enjoyed it. Pretty early in the day, while I was sussing out what was what, I ran out of talent getting on the power a bit early in the corner. I was taken by surprise on how fast it snatched back again and was just a passenger in the end. I was pretty far up the revs in 3rd so was probably doing 75-80mph at the time. Luckily there was nothing but grass on the exit! It was a shame I did it right next to the pits so EVERYONE saw and heard it ! I was told it was quite impressive from outside though. Anyway here's a little vid. (Can't seem to find a way to embed the video?) I'll try and sort out a video of some better bits when I get time, but the camera was a bit crap and everything is pretty shaky so not sure what I can salvage.
  2. Yeah looking forward to it. Just fitted some new springs/shocks and brake pads. Need to get the alignment done tomorrow..... Nothing like leaving it till the last minute.
  3. Looking good so far! I'm doing a trackday at Bedford on monday if you fancy it? It's with Javelin trackdays. If not, keep you eyes open, I'm sure to be at Snetterton again in the future. Who did you get to do your door dents? I've got one that need attention.
  4. Should have gone for the V2 that shares the engine oil via pipework. Lol None of that hassle on my vortech.
  5. Were you not tempted to sell the car complete? I know parting out is usually better financially but I'm sure you would have got some interest at a reasonable price.
  6. I got mine from a forum member, it was only advertised on here so good job I looked.
  7. I had the same issue with eBay eyelids there is not enough curve to them as you say. No foam or tape strong enough. I used clear silicone as it fills all the gaps. I held it down with lots of tape over night while it dried. Seemed to do the trick, although one is just starting to lift now after about a year. But easy to pull off and re-do.
  8. I've booked onto a Javelin track day at Bedford Autodrome GT circuit on Monday 23rd March. I see there are a couple of 350's booked in already, anyone from here? I've not been before but heard its a good track and relatively safe due its large run off areas so good for first timers. Anyone else fancy joining me (and whoever the other to zeds are) ?
  9. Welcome to the club. Good to see you on the track, I'm hoping to try Bedford in a couple of weeks.
  10. A lot of people used to use them when I was over on mkivSupra.net a few years ago, so maybe have a look on there for some reviews.
  11. I can highly recommend Ferrodo DS2500 Pads on DBA T3 4000 Discs. I do roughly the same mileage as you daily/ fast road and one or two track days a year. You should also put on braided lines and some RBF600 or similar fluid while your there. That set up works really well!
  12. Happy birthday Ian! Enjoy your night.
  13. Welcome to the club, Where abouts in Norfolk are ya?
  14. As GT4 says, any gains will only be achieved after a re-map. The SSV only really gives gains right at the top end of the revs where the increased flow is needed. There are cheaper ways to do it, but none that are as pretty.

    which wheels

Gold for sure, they look sweet. I like the 19's but think you've gone too dark in the center and lost the detail of the wheel. just looks like black holes with a shiny rim.
  16. Welcome to the club. Was that actually a serious question?
  17. At last! That's how I like it. A few proper cars and some giggles......about cars. Spot on.
  18. NOT lowered? but, it looks just right thanks for those wheel specs, very useful for me. What wheels are these man they look awesome!! 19" OZ Superleggera III - Forged 3-piece split rim.
