anyone got any ideas/ tips?
changed the front pads yesterday and the sensors and wiring look fine, going to do the rears soon and check them..
the lights only come on when i press the brake pedal hard (even when at a stand still)
and restarting the engine removes the lights but depressing the brake pedal hard brings them back..
help

dont pack bags, pack the boot of the car... use it as one very large bag
you can fit loads in the boot if you dont use bags (that take up 30% of the space..)
have fun

Update on my warning lights..
ABS, ESP off, Traction control.
Just picked her up from a service, they hooked the diagnostic up (my self diagnostic showed no fault)
Its came up as C1142 : ABS pressure sensor circuit (ABS Lateral Acceleration Sensor Open/Shorted on Benzword.org's forum code list) and they said take it back if it returns for an investigation as they reset the code, id rather try and self fix before paying through my already tender nostrils (3.5k + since Feb )
Ive been trawling other forums (using google search) to find some info, but most threads have loads of suggestions but no final answer on what it was (unlike this forum where we tell all..)
First thing to do would be check the sensors and wiring but i dont have a clue where to start, anyone any tips??

I have joined the nitrous club lol. Starting to fit the bottles tomorrow and get it wired in.
Getting it dialed in at the end of the month by the garage in wishaw who run nos in all their time attack cars and drag cars. I cannot wait for this.
They run nitrous express systems on all there cars and have all the jets etc in stock.
Wasso, the rpm window switch that came with it is a mini progressive control unit which links to the laptop for any adjustments etc. Don't think the won controllers will talk with this system.
Cracking thread wasso! Cant wait to start doing a full thread for mines
hey Niel, the Garage is where i got my clutch and fly done.. and thats where id do the NOS 'transformation' if (probs when) i do it..
whats the chance of you and Wasso (and others in the NOS fraternity) starting a (possibly new) thread about NOS to let the wanting of us realise what were in for and possibly get some options on how to do it for different budgets

Nice little Dexter reference Brown.
thankyou watched the new season on the net (only on in the US atm) its as good as it should be
I'll send you a PMmay i have that PM aswell Wasso

unluckily for me, the phrase 'I need NOS' is one that i keep hearing the 'dark passenger' inside whispering
Im ruined
Very nice car, and great build story.. to see this in a forum garage will be good

mine came in the box for definite. perhaps they have changed it recently.
best thing to do in that case
ask when you get to wherever your buying it
its good fun and the games coming out soon look
will be an Ace present

if your only buying a Kinnect, the power cable wont be included as its made to work with the new style xbox..
most places wont include it as standard (like Game and Gamestation) as theres no need for it with new consoles..
the extra bit is an actual plug in to the wall power source that attaches to the usb cable from the kinnect

think someones getting their racism on...
-
yup.
as long as its a xbox 360 not just an xbox (which i doubt it will be) then yeah just the kinect will be OK.
all the leads and stuff come in the box. i think that the kinect adventures game does too!
If its the new type of XBox 360 then the Kinnect alone is fine,
if its an original Xbox 360 then a power cable is needed to run the kinnect (£5)
if you go to Game or Gamestation then they will advise on the need for a cable..
if your unsure about the XBox age then take a pic on your phone and show them in the shop or search the different type on google..

It's not too hard, just a bit fiddly. I'm doing it and I know nothing about cars. I already removed the old ones and I'm just waiting on the replacements, hopefully I'll still remember where everything went.
as far as ive been led to believe, putting the HT leads in the correct places is the problem with all off
ill be doing one at a time as im a mong
did you remove your strut brace?
-
thanks 4 the replies, i think my minds made up in the 'Am I throwing cash away' debate im having in my head..
think i may as the extra couple a quid is worth keeping the trade in the forum
£50 delivered is a bargain

Im wondering what the average price is for Platinum spark plugs and fitting in a garage
(the one im going to is a main dealer)
ive been quoted £160
the Service receptionist said:-
''it must be a hard job as the labour is alot and there's 6 of them to do''
what experiences with the spark plugs have you's had??

You are paying a £100 to have them fitted then!
WTF do they think it takes to change spark plugs :S
dont know what to do, need them done and the next 2 months is Hectic..
may have to do it and again, just live and learn
-
don't they have a flat bed MOT ramp?
not had a look in the servicing bay,
but ive been on the phone again to them and they are going to get the service done Saturday morning...
providing that they get the new clutch and fly in for the van thats clogging the ramp.
heres hoping
whilst im going on about it, what would be a rough price for 6 platinum Spark plugs and fitting (its an additional £160 on top of the £201 for the service from there..)
they also have an awesome GM '60' plate 370z in there for £27,000
-
seen them on a Jag less than an hour ago...
IMO =

Just been to pick her up,
shes its not lowered but should have mentioned the kit really could have saved at least some hassle and meant i could have called around the other Chorley Nissan places.. they seemed nice enough and apologetic enough (probably because im walking away with the £365 still in my pocket )
they said they do have a ramp set up that would enable the service but theres a van on there with the suspension and gearbox dropped and wont be sorted untill tomorrow night..
my plan is to have a look in Melton for a suitable garage, but i may wait and send her in the Leicester or Nottingham direction..
lesson learned for the future though
