  1. He is 84! Gosh..he looked a lot younger on the screen..like his movies..he is funny
  2. Didn't even know he has passed away..what happened?
  3. Had a go driving around in slush and bare tarmac this morning..the fabric and textile material started becoming a bit fluffy. Winter tyres are still the best if u could afford them or has a place to put away your summer tyres. Took some pictures this morning Still a great improvement on ungritted areas with black ice.
  4. You could ring the ebay seller if you have any questions. A very helpful chap and first class delivery. The snow socks arrived within 2 days!..good communication, reliable and superfast delivery. Lots of positive feedbacks. Ask for Mike at Premier Vehicle Products on *******. Say Mike from the 350z forum recommended you. Mike is such a common name..everyone is Mike Edited: can't condone something i don't have faith in anymore. After a more detailed test run of the snow socks, i concluded they are not that great.
  5. It seems OK to me..it's my first test run in them. Can't possibly answer some of the questions yet ..don't think it retains water..it's made of durable strong fabrics of some sort. And i don't know if it will be shredded into pieces if u run them on bare tarmac for too long or at fast speed. Not planning to find that out. It's £47 not £4.70
  6. Maybe PM R35LEE..he is an electrical wizard
  7. Thank you Zugara Mod..feel free to post this in the right section..wasn't sure where it should go
  8. I have finally contributed something useful to the club after 1098 posts

  10. I might have started something all over the country Have just come to realise what would happen if everyone is spreading the words
  11. Gosh..lots of questions you lot Woody:they are about £47 inc p&p http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT Rich: Zugara and Chris are both right..not supposed to use them on bare tarmac even though i did a bit of this. You are not supposed to drive more than 30mph in them. They meant to get u out of tricky areas-black ice/thick snow ungritted areas and u take them off when u hit bare tarmac. It's a "get u home" invention. Chris: i think he sell them in many different sizes..worth dropping him an email Newbie1980: if you put in silicone gel on ebay. u should come up with a few selections..any would do. Wasso: it took me 20mins with the two of us. Might be easier to jack the wheels up though Disclaimer: I shall not be held responsible if u think they are rubbish..this is merely my own opinion of them. If u want to drive in all conditions and on bare tarmac at breakneck speed..then get yourself some winter tyres. But u would be to be driving fast in this condition.
  12. I was going to take a picture but i have only remembered after i have taken them off
  13. I thought i would share my experience of these with everyone. Have been in Newcastle all weekend and have only just got back to Notts. I put the snow socks on my rear wheels for the first time this morning (bought them off ebay )and i am very impressed with them they were brilliant No more rear wheel spin..the Zed felt a lot more sure footed. I tried to get up a hilly slope that was very poorly gritted with black ice(people from Northeast might know the private car park in front of St. James Park stadium-next to a pub). It was the same slope that i struggled with last year And there was two BMW that were stranded in the same car park this morning because of rear wheel spin. No drama in the snowsocks. Went up the slope like a four wheel drive. I am NOT suggesting they are better than the winter tyres or a cheap diesel run around but i am merely suggesting a cheaper and cost effective alternative I live in a rented flat and i haven't got a garage to store the summer tyres. I had a lot of looks from all the Geordies this morning(Newcastle United FC vs Chelsea home match)..and they weren't checking out my Zed..was stopped by a copper at the traffic lights and he wanted to know what they are and if they are any good. I think i may well have started something in Newcastle Was the only car with them on.My brother is getting a pair for his front wheel drive Audi A3. It works better if you could afford a set of four (front and rear) socks for a rear wheel drive car but i am skint at the moment. the pair at the back would do for the time being So my solution or "cure" for the Zed's winter "disease" 1) frozen windscreen wiper- get a silicone wiper blades 2) sticky/frozen door- silicone grease smeared all over the door rubber trim(learnt this from rtbiscuit) 3) poor traction on icy road/snow- GET SOME SNOW SOCKS!!! They ROCK!! I am a lot happier in the Zed this winter..it can be a winter car if u rectify all these minor glitches Mike
  14. Gosh..i am really sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your dad and your family. Hope there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Do you happen to know if your dad will be getting further treatment in the form of chemotherapy? I assume they must have done a biopsy/sent off pleural fluid cytology to find out where the primary cancer is? PM me if u want to..it has been a while since i did any general medicine. But i might be able to offer u my personal opinion.
  15. Lee..still want that spare key mate. Will give u a shout next time i am passing thru the Boro again.
  16. Is it legal for one to have the same plate on two different cars?
  17. Hi Gentle..yes..bought mine from this seller. They are based in Taiwan and delivery takes just over a week but reliable seller. Mine has been on for over a year
  18. Yes..but the thing is i never did like the orange reflector
  19. I don't think u need all four corners..i'm sure i read it somewhere that u only need to fit them to whichever wheel the car drives. I assume that u fit them to the rear wheels if it's a rear wheel drive car. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... ow%20Socks
  20. High risk of heavy snow fall in east midlands next few weeks Think i am going to invest on some snow socks for the rear wheels http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 97.c0.m619 Last winter was a nightmare..don't want to be caught out again
  21. Easily the best looking Zed on here Look forward to your modified 370Z project
