of Matt and Gloss? Not gonna see many around as most have gone carbon! Prob a few around though.
You will see from one of Nurrishs transformation's the gloss effect, on mine I went matt but no splitter for comparrison. Mirrors are currently carbon but have a gloss roof but thats just for the panoramic roof effect! Bundus had or has gloss black accents but I think hes now going for matt carbon..
If you are going gloss then you need to find the right gloss black too.. amazing how different they can be. Painters have a black that they use to mix with other colours or accents, Think its called "standard gloss black" its a pretty good paint to go for.
Cheers for that, I'll have a word with the body shop about the black they an use. I'm very undecided.
Yoko - Heres a pic, not the best but if you could do a chop that would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't seen the SXOC lot for ages. Might venture down. Would be good to see your motor again especially with the new lip and sub.
I'll probably go for the splitter in the FRP as I want it doing in gloss black. Having the door handles, badges and wing mirrors in gloss black while its in the bodyshop too. What you reckon?
What colour is the car?
Envy is a great lip to get, but in answer to your initial question, DM Carbon are associated with a trader on here. Dixon Motorsports
Didnt realise Dixon were associated with them, Dixon have a very good reputation, so that makes me feel alot more confident.
Zed is GM
Personally I would be going matt black with the GM esp if your going handles and badges. I would say the same for Sunset and Blade. Red and Blue suit gloss black... White could go either way dependent on the style of the rest of the car..
Gloss black will stand out a fair amount and not blend in like matt will. As a trial get some matt and gloss black vinyl and cover the wing mirror, should give you a good idea and be cheaper than getting them resprayed if you dont like the look!
Hmm, I was thinking gloss black to go with the splitter etc. Got me thinking now. Would be interested to see some comaprison pics.

I have some I was gonna clean up and put on ebay, light kerbing on 3/4. LMK if you are interested

Ah right, yours looks good. Not a massive amount more either.

It was the for sale thread that drew my attention to it. The brand new replica lip is £94, but its fibreglass so...
The Zed is going into the bodyshop either way next week to have the rear bumper resprayed and a ding taken out and a few other bits. Thought while its in there I might have this lip sprayed and fitted (If the quality is right).
This picture shows what the lip would look like on a GM like mine:

Just as an update, I visited Specialised paintwork today to get an estimate on my insurance claim.
They were really friendly and have a vast knowledge of what they are doing, some nice motors there aswell The guy who I dealt with (forgot his name) referred to my Zed as 'she'. Which I thought was quite nice!
When the owner saw the Zed he mentioned that Vernon kay had recently been in with his GTR to have some bits and pieces colour coded like his door handles! Then he told me he was bringing it in again to have some carbon stuff fitted, he took me upstairs and showed me about 2k worth of carbon fibre that Vernon had shipped over to go on his GTR. I'll get a pic next time I go!

Has anybody ever bought any replica body parts from DM Carbon?
They do a replica of the Veilside V1 front lip which I could have fitted while the Zed is in the bodyshop next week. Are there any fitment issues at all with their products? Whats the quality like?
Cheers!

£14 for a pizza is a complete rip off anyway!
Pizza is traditionally peasant food, just a dough base covered in whatever food was left in the house. You don't get charged that sort of money in Italy etc.
hence you go deal hunting
much jealousy about the 50% off card
Well it varies between 40% and 50% depending where you go. Either way i'm happy
If I ever see you at a meet, I'll let you use my discount
thats ace
cheers
Any excuse for a dominoes!
Hawian is always my favourite, followed closely by meat feast

Dominoes ftw, my discount card gets me 50% off
where would one obtain such a glorious device?

Get 20% off Nandos aswell

It was the diesel sporting 130bhp, so very easy to tune. Engine work was a GSR (prototype) long ram induction kit and a remap at red dot in watford. Thats it! To get that sort of power from the petrol 120bhp turbo you need the turbo from the abarth version, a decent exhaust and induction and intercooler topped off with a remap.

Not really 'memory lane' for me as i'm only 21!
This is my 190bhp Grande punto sporting:
Then my Fiesta ST:
Then most recently my CTR:

I really wana go for the 'twin minigun' look on my Zed:
Or was thinking about this, it gives a guaranteed 500bhp.

Oil, filters etc. But I do also want all the extras doing like diff oil, plugs etc.

Yea they seem to have a passion for what they do. Shame there is snow everywhere as I was going to have a drive up. Looks like they have some nice motors in there. Would like to see some of the track prep stuff aswell
Thanks again for the recommendation, I didn't want it to go somewhere that the quality of the work is unknown. Just because a place is 'approved' by the insurers doesn't mean its any good. It just means they give the insurance company a cheap deal and joe public are happy with most of the jobs they do.
-
Wow that is so cool!

Cheers for that. Apparently they do alot of work for Aviva so I've got an engineer should be coming out to inspect the damage then it should be off to specialised to get it done. On their website it mentions mechanical work aswell, can anybody vouch for them on this also?
-
Thanks alot for that. I just need the insurance compmany to accept the price, i'm more bothered about the standard of work, and looking at their gallery it looks as if alot of owners of expensive cars trust them to do a good job.
EDIT - Just spoke to specialised paintwork and i'm going to try and get it in for an estimate. The bloke on the end of the phone was very friendly and professional.

As a result of this lovely weather i've had somebody go into the back of my Zed while it was parked on the side of the road. Damge isn't that bad the rear bumper needs a respray and there is a crease behind the passenger side door.
The accident is being covered by the other guys insurance (Aviva) and i've got the option of going through their approved repair company (Autorepair or something) or I can pick my own garage and get an estimate. Ideally I want to get a few other bits done while its in there so if anybody in the berkshire area has any experience of good body shops then I'd like your input.
Cheers!
