  1. They forgot to mention the inbuilt coffee machine and the secret compartment with a hot chick?
  2. I think your reply should be: Hi there, Thank you very much for your interest. Your proposal sounds great and I would love to do business with you. Unfortunately, I have had to urgently move to Spain as one of my relatives has died and I am going to be over here for a couple of months. I am prepared to give you a discount and let the car go for just £5,000 including shipping. You will only have to pay when you receive the car to make sure you are happy with your purchase. The delivery costs are £1,245 and I will include these within the total price of £5,000 as I said above. However, the courier wants this delivery price upfront, so I propose that you give me your address and/or bank account details and the courier company will take the payment directly from you and once the car arrives, you will only have to pay £3,755 to me via Paypal as you proposed. I appreciate that this is a little bit more complicated, hence why I gave you a massive discount. Best Regards, ug45cwb Thank you very much. I'm in town all week.
  3. The zeds don't have front fogs because the Xenons/Bi-Xenons are deemed to be adequate and in extreme conditions, full beam is pretty strong. I guess the ads just refer to the rear fog.
  4. Car went to the garage for the day, they looked at everything - joints, brakes, yada yada & can't find anything. This is so unbelievably frustrating as we need the car sorted by the weekend after next for a long trip Might have to resort to taking it to the local Audi for a day and let them poke around it.
  5. I do both a fair bit and I would highly recommend not to base your decision in any way whatsoever on the number of calories you're gonna burn. Pick whichever you personally prefer and want to do and if you're still not knackered come the end of the day, there are plenty of gyms available.
  6. Your problem may have something to do with living in a cold, wet and generally miserable country weather-wise. Just sayin'
  7. If you dig around that site, you can find out how many were registered. Also, I am pretty sure that the dvla model numbers split is between coupe and convertible rather than model year. Hence the stats are: 6,395 x coupe 1,657 x roadster 175 x GT4 --------- 8,227 Total No idea where the last GT4 went, but it was apparently not registered. Only 7,444 of these are registered* as of this year and this number is likely to fall considerably over the next 2-3 years with the age & mileage of these cars creeping up towards the 10 year/ 100,000 mark where most cars on avergae go back to see their maker. * this does not include those cars which are classed as SORN.
  8. car's gonna go for another full inspection on Tuesday and hopefully they'll find what the issue is. Got an Audi garage very close by, so hopefully can get whatever bits need replacing fairly promptly too. Thanks much guys!
  9. +1 I've been having a similar problem in the Zed, and was told it was probably balancing or if not alignment or geometry. I sure hope it's not a wheel bearing Spoke to two tyre places and a couple of people came in the car. All said that the alignment is unlikely to have this kind of an issue without the car pulling or any other effects. :s
  10. This would work particularly well with the Veilside V3 bodykit and some industrial mudflaps.
  11. One alternative is to stick some 11'' wheels on with monster truck tyres along the lines of 225/80. Now that could be seriously fun
  12. Thinking about it, that could be an issue - problems started pretty soon after the brakes were changed, so that'll be worth checking although there aren't any braking issues that you can sense. But might be that - booked the car in for a week today & will relay this as a potential issue. Thank you!
  13. The car is in Nottingham. I'm sure I can figure out some wheels somewhere to go for a test run. I did the swap between the fronts and the rears, but nothing changed, so although it could be a tyre issue as it seems most likely, it may well be a joint somewhere which they just haven't spotted. I would presume that if it was a tyre issue, swapping wheels round would make it feel different, but it didn't. It could be one of the joints and I might ask the guys at the local garage to have a very close look at all the bushes & joints this coming saturday. Unlikely to be any part of the driveshaft or engine or anything like that as the car also does this in neutral and when you give it the beans at low speeds, there are no signs. So it's got to be wheels, tyres, some joints somewhere, suspension or some bushes really, right?
  14. That's the issue here. Did that, went on the specific forums, etc. No help other than "balance the wheels". I'll see if I can swap the wheels round this weekend. The problem is that there are around 950 of these cars in the whole country and a lot of the parts are completely different to all other TT models (including brakes, suspension parts, etc) - making it much more difficult to diagnose. It actually sucks knocking that your wife's TT is some 6x more rare than your zed
  15. Hm. I wonder if sticking my 19'' rota gtr's will do. Audi will charge me for just looking at them and the local garage might be a better bet here.
  16. Good morning all, I know that this is a question on a non-z car, but with the knowledge around here I thought I'd ask anyway. The wifemobile is a 3.2 V6 Audi TT Mk 2 (the newer type). Everything about the car appears fine except one problem that has recently arisen. When driving under 50, there are absolutely no issues whatsoever. Nothing noticeable at all. When driving at 50-70, a tiny vibration begins in the footwell - no other signs. When driving at 70 (and very much more obvious at 80 - obviously not on public roads), the steering wheel and footwell begin vibrating considerably. Hard to tell if the rest of the car is also vibrating and where it's coming from other than the footwell and steering wheel vibrating more. Now, the car has been to a number of garages including Audi who appear clueless as to what the issue is. All tyres have been carefully checked, all wheels fully balanced. The rears & the fronts are the same, so these were swapped round, but the exact same problem persists. The front brakes are virtually brand new with new Audi discs & yellowstuff pads. The rears are fairly worn, but these cause absolutely no issues at lower speeds and nothing under braking. The rear discs have a small lip, but aren't close to rubbing and are not warped. I was gonna book the car into another garage for this coming Saturday, but before it goes there, I was wondering if anybody can think of what the issue could be ahead of that. People have looked underneathe the car, at the suspension, etc. Everything appears to be absolutely fine and other than the vibration (pretty hard vibration at 80), there are absolutely no other symptoms. The car does not pull to one side (even when vibrating), etc. Any thoughts would be extremely appreciated. Got to take the car to Europe in two weeks' time and can't take the zed as will need the use of rear seats once we get there, so time is precious. Thanks much in advance.
  17. My zed felt positively slow after a burnt orange hemi engine experience.
  18. I always get amused by these kinds of comparisons being made. The bulk of the argument amounts to: 1. It's a Nissan/Datsun/Jap piece of rubbish - typical badge snobbery. I personally don't get it as I would happily buy a Lada if the spec, reliability, etc were to my taste. 2. Awful fuel consumption with some owners claiming that the car will never top 20mpg with one claiming that when he owned one, he averaged at 12 - typical rubbish spouted by people who have never been near the car. Unless you race from traffic light to traffic light and enjoy the sound of 6k revs while parked in neutral in a traffic jam, most will average at 25-27mpg give or take depending on your routine. If you primarily cruise up and down motorways, this may end up at 28-29 and for those who never go above 40 around town, this may drop to around 22. True that it is possible to get into the early teens, but you would have to drive in pretty spectacular fashion to get there. 3. Other cars are better, therefore why would anyone get a 350z? All cars that are typically used as a comparison are either inferior in terms of performance (e.g. half the ponies) or in the majority of cases in a completely different price bracket. Taking the second-hand car market out of the question (as this talks about new sales), the typical comparisons are: BMW M3 (from £54k), BMW Z4 s35 M (from £43k), Audi TTS (from £37k) or the Cayman (from £40k) *** So all in all, the real reasons for the low sales are: 1. Badge snobbery as above 2. Lack of marketing and awareness - Out of people who are not a car or racing game enthusiast, I can count on one hand the number of people I have met over time who actually knew what my car was. 3. Perception of it being a gaz-guzzling, tax-eating performance car - while this is partially true, it is really no different to the majority of cars out there. In addition, when you consider depreciation, petrol costs, tyres, servicing, MOT, repairs, the minor difference in tax is next to nothing in comparison.
  19. Europcar did a convertible Audi TTS in 2010 which was pretty nice while the zed was being upgraded
  20. I've got an iPhone 4 which I got in January/February this year. The best part of this new 'release' is that I will not feel in any shape or form that my phone is now outdated for another year until my contract runs out.
  21. Weird. Different wheels, no front lip, no lowering, no diffuser, etc, etc, but very similar under-the-bonnet upgrades.
  22. Had a number of tourists take turns to pose for a photo with the zed while I was down in Oxford over the weekend. Wife was very unimpressed with a "have they never seen a car before?"
  23. Hey, any progress with this? I am in need of new bolts, but given the state of my undertray, could probably do with a replacement anyhow (all depending on availability & prices).
