  1. will be interesting to see what Schumacher comes out with when Mercedes release their new car. He is traditionally very hands-on and involved in the development process and usually does particularly well when big engineering changes are required to adjust to new rules...
  2. There is the additional argument that it is ultimately your choice of purchasing a wide-tyred rear-wheel drive sports car and not your employer's fault that it can't get you to work when other sensible cars will. It's like buying a lambo, then phoning up the next day to say that unfortunately your lambo is too wide for the track that takes you to the main road hence you can't come in to work.
  3. I personally disagree with most comments. I think that if you are a capable enough driver and drive according to the conditions, there's no reason not to take the car out. Turn ESP off and drive carefully. I do every day and have done through all the weather over the last few years.
  4. Just in case you were wondering who the madman flashing at you repeatedly was, tis me.
  5. Ive never noticed this!!! Thanks Dave!! I feel like a genius using it since the day I got the car!
  6. Is it just me or have lotus gone to town with a massive new aero device underneath the front end of the car and something that vaguely resembles an air intake.
  7. I was generalising because people who space their number plates in "kewl" ways are usually very similar to those who stick in bolts to try and make up letters.
  8. I'm English and Russian dual national. My opinion is the same
  9. Welcome. In terms of colour choice, it is very much a matter of personal preference. The vast majority of these cars appear to be blade silver or gunmetal grey so anything out of Black, Azure (blue) or Sunset (rusty) is often popular. Some of these colours had slightly different tones and names for facelift editions, but these are very close. Much more rare are: white, chilli red, yellow (was this only for GT4 cars originally?). Even more rare than all the above is a cool metallic purple colour which wasn't offered in the UK. *** At the end of the day it depends on what you like
  10. I am not throwing insults. That's just exactly how everybody around you will think about you... I think the vast majority of people would agree that anyone who buys some weird plate to then adjust spacing, stick black bolts in places, etc to make it sorta maybe look like something is a bit of a douche. Again... not throwing insults around - just saying what people's opinions of these types of numberplates usually are.
  11. + makes you look like a prick in the eyes of 99% of people on the road.
  12. I'm no expert at all, but if you have any specific questions, I might be able to help.
  13. The weather would need to be considerably worse for people not to be able to get in. I remember working 60 miles away from home two winters ago when snow happened. I obviously made it in in my rear-wheel sports car whereas the rest of the team (5 people) including people living 2 miles away (I kid you not) and nobody further than 20 sat at home. Typical.
  14. You have 4 main choices: 1. Use one of the many pre-built services. These are usually ok but will have minimal personalisation options. 2. Use Wordpress to sort of build your website using the plugins, etc. A bit more fiddly, little bit more opportunity to stamp your own thing onto it. 3. Pay somebody to code up a website for you. This will usually depend on their skills and mainly include their pre-built components. 4. Code it up yourself - takes time, but outcome is not limited by anything other than your time and input.
  15. That's not Austria. They drive on the other side of the road there
  16. I spent around 20 minutes trying to get out of my drive yesterday, but somehow even with ESP off, a rear-wheel drive powerful car with 285 tyres is gonna have to wait until the snow melts.
  17. Went for the full price of £82.50. Obviously a highly desired item...
  18. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=51113&start=0 Searched for "secret compartment"
