Somebody will be along who can give you plenty of advice. Not much difference. Most people who have gone the JDM route are going to MOD it so the differences will be changed anyway.

Also making a claim without protected NCD will lose more than one year no claims discount. I think it can be 2 or 3. not sure. So two prangs in one year and you can be stuffed.
Also if someone bangs into you and they haven't got insurance, you'll be claiming off your own.
Protected NCD is peace of mind.

The speed restriction can be bypassed with a box of tricks, cost around £200.
There was one up the other week for £115 though
