If your journey is very stop and start and a bike is out of the question you could always consider a JDM tiptronic model. Servicing is very reasonable compared to the other cars in you list. Only main difference on a 06 is the engine has 20bhp more. Rest is cosmetic.

Perhaps when you last checked, the car wasn't level. That would give a false reading.

a easy way to find out

As buds said before with a new model you take the hit of the depreciation. You need to look at the spec differences between the two to see if the extra bucks is worth it or save the extra bucks for some mods like exhaust, bodykit and wheels.

I had a TT 225 myself before the Z for 4 years. Loved it. I fancied going the 6 cyclinder route to get a nice engine note and really this is the only thing on the list worth having. No regrets and its good to back in a head turner like the TT was when I forst got that. The TT is very common over here now hence another good reason to have a Z.

I think the oil light comes on when there is no pressure, not when the oil level is low.
