Aided by a 550bhp version of the existing 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6, liberal use of carbonfibre to keep weight down and a larger spoiler at the rear, the V-Spec has lapped the ‘ring in a mere 7min 25secs – that’s at least 13 seconds quicker than the standard GT-R. As you can see, it certainly looks like it means business too. As well as a bigger downforce-inducing spoiler, the V-Spec gets new black, ultra-light alloys, which barely fit inside the wheelarches. The unique six-spoke design allows more air to reach the carbon-ceramic brakes, keeping them cool and reducing the chance of fade. There’s also a new rear diffuser to improve airflow for better stability too. headgasket problem is sortable if done properly. My brother used to work for Rover and manufactured his own kit which stopped the problem from happening again.

I did post this up ages ago Mike , but I think it still holds water in the FAQ and also in 'differences and Specs' in the JDM section now

JDM Specs Base---17" wheels, ABS,Brake assist,TCS,limited slip diff,xenon headlights Version T---- leather seats, seven speaker bose Version S-- 18" rims Brembo's and VDc(instead of TCS ? )but no leather Version ST--leather +Version S spec rear spoilers/sat nav and side airbags ordered as extras on all specs + loads of other Extras not seen on UK cars like auto fold mirrors ,different steering wheels, footwell illumination etc etc...

think you need to investigate why your having this problem, sounds like the exhaust hasn't been fitted properly.
