  1. a new/second hand unit would solve the problem or you could get your one repaired. See the discount section. Clarion repair the BOSE units. I think if getting a second hand one, you'll need to get it paired with the ECU at a Nissan garage. Someone else may be able to confirm this is the case. I don't know how much this costs.

    put on endless VN9500 on mine. Very impressed with them, improved braking and a lot less dust. Pads are painted blue. You can get them from Envy. There is a guide on how to do intsall in the guides section.
