  1. Fighting talk bud, I like your style. Just to show you the difference. Loved the sound outside but inside it was mental: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQsODMuhWOc New stylee Blueflame: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWyZOrKVBPw
  2. This is how you'll feel in 2 weeks. Do you notice the resonance when you blip the throttle and the needle drops between 4,000 and 3,250 revs? That sound will be in your head when you go to bed. In fact I think my head still rattles and I sold mine 4 months ago. Good luck. PS - Don't want to spoil your fun but I predict will be in the For Sale section by Xmas.
  3. Yep - job v. quiet at present. Didn't do Yellow Submarine or I Am The Walrus 'cos, er.........it's not a pun. Or Octopus's Garden.
  4. Very bored and for some reason decided to make some puns with a nautical theme to Beatles song titles. Please add your own. Made me giggle anyway. 5. Thanks but Z having P1 service and new front pads so "working from home".
  6. I'm back and no near-death experiences. I can confirm the car definately feels different after the ECU re-set. Firstly, I was being pushed back further in the seat than normal and secondly, pulling away "spiritedly" from some lights, I span the rears and did a nice "Dukes of Hazzard" squiggle down the road. First time that's happened since purchase. Did about 20 miles so I guess the fun will end soon. I suppose you could reset every day when setting off but can't be bothered. Will wait for visit to Abbey.
  7. Unsure. I will now go outside (as I reset the ECU last night) and drive like my pants are on fire in Auto. If I'm not posting in an hour, you can assume I have left the planet due to "noticeable gains".
  8. Probably a difficult question but anyone ever monitored how long the ECU "re-learns"? Is it hours/days or weeks?
  9. but it gives you nothing... Really? Surely you have the benefits of all your mods (maybe 15 bhp in my case) until the ECU "re-learns" and takes the benefit away.
  10. COUGH COUGH!! Thats insane! Mine at worst is about 23-24 So gay. Over 20 mpg suggests you need a Prius. You need to do a track day. £80 - 75 miles. About 5 mpg.
  11. But £80 fills it up and £60 takes it 3/4. My fuel gauge has been playing up a little lately though. Its a bit erratic! One minute it will say full and the next its down to 3/4 and then back up again!? All you can do then is just re-set the trip every time you fill up and keep a note of how much you put in and whether putting less in effects the mpg. Mine is at 7.9 km/l (that's 18.5 mpg) whatever I do.
  12. The gauges are "weighted". After only a few miles mine shows 3/4 full after putting in a full tank. If you put "3/4" of a tank in, I bet it was nearly full. Don't judge your mpg by them. Judge it by the trip computer
  13. That's what I was worried about. I miss the growl of the K1 now I've changed to the Blueflame which is a little bit "farty" sometimes. Anybody got any links to resonated decat stockists?
  14. I know it's a small point but a full tank weighs in excess of 100 lbs, adding about 7% to the car's bulk. If you like to drive like at the weekends, I'd fill it 1/3 of a tank at a time.
  15. £345 plus VAT (from memory) at Abbey.
  16. Phew To clarify I wanted something to bring the shine back to window seals/rubbers etc. on exterior so it seems I've picked the right one.
  17. Do the decats have anti-foulers so the CEL is not thrown and (long shot) any videos of what they sound like?? I have the Blueflame exhaust which is raspy and I want more growl from the engine, not more rasp. Pending the above is ok, I'll have 'em.
  18. Rare Rims is the company that stocks. Rota GTR/Drift is the wheel: http://www.rarerims.co.uk/alloys_sub2.a ... RangeID=18
  19. Heath, Did mine last night after we chatted and I'll wait until the rush-hour ends and give it a little test out. Will update you later.
  20. Depends which P1. My 63,000 P1 is being done tomorrow and that will consist entirely of a change of engine oil. See the service sticky at top of page.
