I have 18" x 9.5 Rotas front and back. On there at the moment are Falken 452s - 245/45/18 and 275/40/18. They look a bit "tractor like" to my eyes. What does anybody recommend for replacements? I'd like a lower profile but also it's daily runner which I track so comfort and performance is important. Not asking much, eh?

Sorry mate, I wasn't really after an argument either, my post did come across a bit harsh I'm more genuinely intrigued as to how anyone could find that in anyway safe. I'm all for ragging your car hard and fast on track, and god knows I've pushed my limits a few times, but I would never ever consider driving that close to anyone at that speed. One slight mistake from either of you and you're looking at a hugely expensive repair bill at the least. I really want to drive Combe, just need to get the bloody race-prep MR2 up and running now really No probs. You're probably right. And there was I looking on Pistonheads for a MR2 or 3 series or MX-5 track car to race all season. What needs doing to yours to get it working?

How can you say that? How on earth is it safe to be doing those speeds following someone that close? My car's having a service as i type and the 452's are "very worn" on the inside and need replacing according to my man Dan at the garage. They've done about 10,000 of hard and fast road driving and about 100 laps at Castle Coombe so not bad I suppose. Cost £450 11 months ago so £0.045p per mile.

I'd say it was frantic from 0:40 when his mate almost lost it before he'd really got going.

Nice HDR work! Would have been a peach if you'd taken 3 steps to the right and crouched down. You would then have the trunk of the big tree framing the front and the roof would be framed by the left hand branches. You'd also then remove the junction and fence which are distracting. I'd personally go there again and re-shoot as the tree is great and potentially you have a real cracker of a shot.
