got the code of 340 same as shire in the thread shown by narcotix. Nissan were so vague about how much this is going to cost I can just see it sprialling, that's the main reason why I thought I might just repalce both sensors and hope for the best to begin with. Anyone know of any decent garages (non-nissan!) in and around Leeds that would be a cheaper alternative than nissan?

well it happened again the other night took it to Nissan and they told me it would be £100 just to put it on the diagnostic machine and then another £60 for each sensor plus whatever labour involved to get it fitted (if that is indeed the problem). at the moment I'm thinking that the value for money option might be to just buy both sensors myself for £120 and replace them to see if that cures the problem.

you can still draw air from the wheel arch rather than putting the filter itself in the arch, should protect from hydrolock while still providing a good amount of cold air

a lot of people have complained of this after the cold weather. I'd play it safe and get them replaced anyway, cheap and easy DIY job anyhow
