  1. That post is bitchin'! I have to say I agree with the OP on this one. I too think it's easy to miss the rules located where they are as after a while you're that used to "stuff" being at the top of the page you just ignore it and scroll down to the threads. I recently sold something on here and totally missed the rules even though I checked for them first. I spotted this this sticky.... viewtopic.php?f=32&t=19660 ..which is titled "Please read this first before posting here..." and thought that was all I needed to know as that's how most forums do it. That sticky either needs to be deleted or have the rules pasted into it IMO (I vote for the latter). The other thing I don't agree with is the sacred view of "dibs". Talk is cheap and as far as I'm concerned the first person to PM me and arrange payment gets the item. I've been messed around in the past by people calling dibs on an item and then changing their mind so it's not for me (that wasn't on this forum I might add). I just don't think the forum should be dictating who I sell my property to. Given this seems to be a sensitive issue I'd just like to say all the above is meant constructively. I'm not trying to have a go and I generally think the mods do a great job of protecting members without being too heavy handed. The 'dibs' rule is non existent and has already been covered in the other thread discussing the rules. This thread complaining about bitchiness seems to be quite pointless, unless I should be taking it in an ironic way?
  2. Great results there - you must be chuffed to bits! I'm sure it feels that much better to know that you fitted it all yourself as well, I dip my hat to you sir!
  3. I really like that, if/when I decide I'm getting a spoiler (or not) further down the line that will be top of my list! GLWTS
  4. Brakes have always been a no-go area! Well I'm going to have a bash at it so if it all goes wrong you all have blood on your hands! good luck!!! then let me know how it really was so i can think about it ordering them now and should get some free time over Easter so I'll let you know, alternatively if I run into the back of you at a set of red lights you know it didn't go all that well
  5. nice write up, I have the JDM brakes but if anything that means it will be simpler (probably ). Good tip for using socks on the brake cylinder
  6. Brakes have always been a no-go area! Well I'm going to have a bash at it so if it all goes wrong you all have blood on your hands!
  7. Welcome I'll look out for you driving around!
  8. I'll do it for you FOC, I need a car to practice on with my Kestrel
  9. pictures of the said mat, for some reason my iphone has started to capture aura's in the most unusual places
  10. looks very pretty, I'd have it
  11. you wont regret it, got mine couple of weeks ago and I'm well chuffed with the result
  12. Oh sorry it has Rays don't really want to lower it but will it look like it needs to be lowered with 25 on back ? with 25 on the back it fills the arches perfectly if it's not lowered
  13. 25mm rears, i tried them both and 20mm still looked far too crap
  14. yeah that's what I thought yeah I think they look nicer as well
  15. I'll try get a pic at lunchtime
  16. I keep seeing pictures of people's interiors and everyone seems to have the floor mats that says '350z' down the side, my mats don't say this but have a metal Z stuck in the middle (similar to the Z on the steering wheel). are my mats official mats or somethign different, is it to do with the fact that mine is an import? This question doesnt really have a bearing on anything but I'm bored at work and curious......
  17. someone is going to say it so it might as well be me; becasue it will be lower? In all seriousness I would check the height and also check the springs and dampers to see if they look aftermarket.
  18. My rear pads seem to be coming to the end of there lives and so I'm getting some more next week. Now the question is, do I change them myself? I dont mind having a acrack at things on the car but I've always steered clear of messing with the brakes, mainly becasue I don't trust myself enough to mess them up! I have looked a various guides and it seems simples enough: jack up take off wheel undo 2 bolts open caliper push piston back in insert pad close caliper redo botls put wheel back on drive off Now is it really that simple or will I end up looking at the brakes, in the middle of the road, in the rain (no doubt!) and be thinking 'how the hell am I going to sort this?!?!'
  19. Can you share the name of the company with us? It would be really useful for future reference for all JDM owners. +1
  20. I had a brand new 3 series for a month while my last car was been repaired, I was shocked at the obvious hated for BMW's on the road. Every junction I came to people would speed up so as not to let the big bad BMW out and if a white van was anywhere near then is was practically fisticuffs for any reason they could find! fun though
  21. looks a bit busy from the picture!
