Not possable. Even we who make our own cooling panes for other cars like the GT4 which is a perfect fit, smooth even and consistent thickens we sell at £90 discount to club members. The thing about having carbon in the engine bay is that the resin used is different as it needs to be able to maintain shape and form at high temperatures so there's no way you'll get it for £50. +1 mine is about 98% perfect, although when I'm down in October you can copy my boot (Seibon) and adjust the imperfections if you wanted? Something I'd like, which can cost a fair few £££ is a new carbon engine cover and cooling panel. As you know I had to take my cooling panel off because of the front bumper, but would be keen to get a replacement to aid airflow with the bumper air duct. If there was a demand for carbon boot, we'd simply send off an OEM one and try to get it perfect first time. I recall seeing your cooling panel and the room for improvements where noticeable when we tried fitting it. I've seen some pretty poorly made engine covers with very bad definition in the indentations. But again is there a demand for them? I know we can make the engine cover much better as we'd make a M&F mould to make sure it's well defined. See how defined this indentation is:

Ignore that. Had a blond moment and realised it was in the second post. What if I said we can do it in carbon. How many of you are wanting it?
-
So who sells a non carbon one which does fit well?
-
whats wrong with the existing one?
-
Those of you who have been to our workshop had seen our beautiful display of carbon and asked us "when are we going to make stuff for the z?" Rather than us asking "what do you want in carbon?" like most traders do, I'd like to ask "whats been made in carbon which isn't very good that we can improve on?" I'm not asking to list the dodgy carbon suppliers but it makes more sense to make something which is already desirable and wasn't done very well and for us to improve on it. Ray

read it twice and I gotcha. The thing is, if you're going to fit a front under splitter which covers the ender side, why would you want to keep the stock tray anyway?
-
I would say no. The intention of making it universal would mean we're aiming not to make it car specific and the more simpler we can keep it the lower the cost of production can be. hmmm I just got a z speed alu tray lol maybe just make it 'shorter' and be able to sit on top of say oem panel and the likes of the z speed alu tray? Not quite sure what mean? You have a alu Z tray which you want to cut in half and seat it over the stock under panels?

We are aiming to be cheaper than other aftermarket front splitters in the market for sure in order for this to work but in the mean time it's still in the R&D Stage. Some input from another forum is that the Evo's have channeled air directing to the calipers for extra cooling as a secondary function. Something we're looking at replicating.

yes I'm still looking for some adjustable link rods for the overhang as added support. As the the canards, well lets just say that's a possibility.

I intend to make it universal out of PU and have the front edge wrapped in Carbon for aesthetic looks for: a: keeping cost low b: making the wheel arch depth trim-able for universal car fitting c: Durability because PU won't smash into bits. Most of our clients are the guys in the celica clubs and races in TSS so it'll probably be seen there before it's it's seen fitted to a Z unless we have some track users here who are really interested?

Working along side with Jamie at CW Racing to develop a proper front splitter. (Not a front lip) Universal for all cars as long as the front end if flat. (This can be achieved with a front lip added on) This is what we've come up with. Opinions pls?

Replied during the morning rush at the garage so the pleasantness may seem absent in the words but it's there! Many thanks to Steve for trusting his car with us and we hope he's pleased with our work That fresh private plate was a good touch man

+1 Just slacken off the two outer bolts, and re-align and re-tighten. Over tightening can cause this mis-alignment. Not slacking off at all. We've spent over a week lining everything up just the front end and with out having to replace the wings and brackets also jigging the front end of the car this is the closest you can get. The front bumper is fibreglass so you cant bend it without risking it cracking or webbing. Better to have the drivers side wing line up perfectly and passengers side in by 1.5mm than have drivers side off by 6mm and have uneven gaping gaps around both head lamps don't you think? The wing was bent back into shape and repaired before it came to us and the mounting brackets where warped. We straightened them out and spaced out the excess with washers where needed and same goes to the head lamps in order to achieve an all round even line up between the lamps, bumper and wings. We've discovered many repaired bits, broken or missing fixings and brackets which we've addressed. Not something many body shops will do. Steve have you got any before pictures for people to really appreciate what we've done?

Everything matters when colour matching, size of grinds in metallic paint, components it's mixed with, pressure of the gun, direction and amount sprayed, etc. Moreover, human hand will never be as accurate as computerized spraying factory machine unfortunately, no matter how talented the sprayer is. We'll be putting in our own colour matching scheme withing few months time to avoid unreliable colour matching places

Steve, Car is now freshly lacquered:
-
Neilp if you understood the situation, you'd know you had no choice. We are fully aware of the colour match on Wasso's car. A good painter is just a good painter. They will still need to order the paint from somewhere else. The kit was arranged to be sprayed on site without his car meaning there was no chance for a colour match. We can only go by the colour code of the car. We had 2 days to do this. Spray 1 day. Fit it the next. Wasso came to us wanting to fit and leave on the same day. The pant mixer had to mix without a sample and nothing to compare with knowing there was a few shades from the same colour code. Wasso's boot was also a different colour compared to the car ad that's not sprayed by us. Even if we did a test there wasn't a car to compare to. We've offered to respray it and it will be done at a later date. If you look at other people who had used our service such as coldel, hadZ and HaydnH you'll find they're happy with our work not to mention black with a metallic flick is much harder to match. Steve we assure you your car is in good hands.

Tis was a pleasure to work on your car Col. I hope the rear isn't shinier than the rest of the car now? Should anyone need to contact me, you can still PM us in this forum and if it's something urgent, leave me your number and I'll call you back.

and you was thinking of getting lower profile as well?

The last one should be a wall paper picture. Personally, I'd loose the fluffy dice Hadi.
