  1. This must be the most pointless thread ever  The OP has got the blinkers on! Get the price down to 12k and then get an inspection. If not pay the extra 2k and get that original yellow one you were discussing about.

  2. Define by what 'you' mean as stage 3 would be the best thing.

    Stage1:

    Grounding Kit

    Air Filter

    Hoses\Locks

    Engine Damper

    Short Shift

    Stage 2:

    Cat Back Exhaust

    HFC \ De Cats

    Plenum Spacer

    Performance Radiator

Unless your going FI i wouldnt bother with a lot of that! For your best gains N/A i would go for:

Upgraded exhaust and Y pipe, Decats/High flow cats, Intake, plenum spacer. Then Remap

  3. Been surprised by this too - albeit on a much lower priced item. It's basically ebay's policy to make sure you put in an as high initial value to your item as you can, so that they can collect the higher fee.

But Zedrush, don't despair, you are way too early in your auction:

    - first, never respond to "can I buy it now" requests if an auction is ongoing - more often than not it's someone trying to avoid competition and you'll end up losing money. Nobody is really desperate to buy on ebay, there's always something else on sale

    - secondly for sure that the highest bid will go up significantly in the last 5 minutes of the auction, as 95% of ebay buyers put sniping bids only these days.

    - you already have a bid for 1.7k which means you'll get at least that much

    - ebay is still the best place to sell second hand cameras and get your money's worth

Having just sold 5 items on ebay heres my response:

I had a buy it now offer provided to me but let the offer run the auction... it ended up being £100 less, it also only went up £1 on a £350 item in the last 5 minutes. Another item was bidded on for the starting price which is all i wanted, a day before the auction ended the bid was re tracted?? so its not a case of someone has bid 1.7k thats what you will get. There are also a lot of scammers on ebay as another item was won by someone who then messaged me saying he wouldnt have the cash for 2 months??

Having also said that "nobody is desperate to buy on ebay, theres always something else on sale" means its very saturated with second hand goods which means no your not going to achieve a good price even on second hand cameras.

Ebay has gone down hill rapidly.

  4. Thanks for the graphs. Very good gains to be had - there's certainly a huge difference from ~3500 revs onward in both torque and bhp. Thanks was exactly the kind of info I was looking for, cheers :)

Cookiemonster, definitely let us know how you get on too and how your car feels after fitting the decats with Uprev :) Looks like I'll be at Abbey just a few days before you. Pity, would have liked to have heard your Z with the Japspeed decats with Nismo and your white Z in your sig looks stunning. Is it really all white vinyl? Very nice.

Will do mate, I'm hoping it will work well. Thanks for the comments always appreciated :D

  5. Yea Abbey will be the place, had my coilovers sorted there and was well impressed. Just speak with Mark about it and see what he says, going on others results the decats should improve torque as long as you get the remap done. If you have the cash ask about the new decats they are bringing in for testing. ;)

  6. You are looking at Japspeed then, not particular amazing quality but good pieces of kit which alot of members run. I have the K1 but thats a bit hardcore for what your after, I think the japspeed Y-pipe is around £180 and the K2 is £300 ish.

Have a wee looky at this : viewtopic.php?f=62&t=23989

    R

ive got a k1 (although really really tempted to trade in - damnnnnnnnn vibrations and 2-3k rev noise) BUT what actually is the purpose of the Y Pipe?

Connects the 2 cats to the single mid pipe which then connects to the back box.

Unless you go for a true dual system which has 2 mid pipes connecting to 2 cans at the end instead of a back box.

  7. Right i am proper confused  ..... dont have a zed yet but looking to buy very soon. Would it be worth getting the 276 or 296 engine bearing in mind i want it mapped ? Would i be able to gain the 20bhp difference if i went for the 276 ? and whats the expected bhp/ftlb of a 276 with say a cat back exhaust, filter and remap ? And the same on a 296 what could be expected ? :offtopic: Sorry

Really depends on your budget, if you can afford the newer model i would say get it. The cars pretty well tuned from standard so the gains you will make are minimal, more importantly the uprev makes the car much more "driveable" by giving 100% WOT when you want it and provides a smoother power curve on the dyno. Remember all cars will start with different figures from factory, so were one car may make a 20bhp increase another might only make 10, all cars are different.

Im pretty sure if you look in Abbeys threads they have a list of maps with different mods on.

or look here for an example of 3FIDDYZ results
