Well after my service at Abbey i need to get some prices on a few bits so i can get everything perfect. The Y pipe is blowing no doubt due to the decats i put on and the fact that the guy i bought it off had already scuffed it a bit, so need a replacement. Can anyone who has one new or second hand one let me know.
Thanks
Dan

Just chill mate, at the end of the day your no worse off as the garage have covered it and your moving house. Acting on emotion will only get you in trouble, what goes around comes around and im sure with him being almost family you will have more than one opportunity to get your own back.
If you see him just brag about how your dealer is doing it for free and that your missus is looking forward to her new car, make it cound incredible (if possible
) then setup a camera and wait... If you catch him its up to you what you do with the evidence, personally i would show it in your local pub to show what a £$£%%% he is and then bribe the guy to stay away from your family or the police will be involved.

Thats a shame, i agree with Bennett they offered good products at good prices they just needed to have a bit more quality control and it would have been fine. But for a £350 exhaust you know what your getting is going to have problems.

Too be fair the bumper mouldings are a known zed problem
i've heard that a man in the factory runs at the bumper full speed from 3 meters away with this in his hand to cut the holes
Nah thats far to accurate... now this is more like it

Im taking mine to Abbey for servicing, my friend who worked in the garage on Vulcan road didnt recognise my car when i showed him....
If you find one let me know as it would save me the London trip but i care about the car way too much to get it done by people i dont know/trust. I have another mate who works at an independant garage in Hethersett and hes had my car on a ramp and had a look over the car a few times and worked on a lot of high powered cars, if i wasnt considering selling i would probably go there.

Keep the Re040 for a Track day, having them bald on the back would be well fun!
-
just imagine the cost of that... and now someone (wizard) sits with SC doing MORE power then that once fitted!
Yes but the way Adams car will drive will be greatly different to someone who has gone FI. It will rev much much quicker and generally be more responsive. Its not all about headline figures as we always say
very true but I know which one I'd prefer, must be an FI head
any keep this thread on track
I think the OP likes discussions anyway, is this going to be another of his threads locked
But just to dispute i would rather Adams over FI, the way that thing must pull would be insane!

Well this has gone way OT
I just like cars with big engines to be fair, the Zed being the only car i could actually insure at 22! Next car is a shelby gt 500 and thats the new shape which you can actually get for around 15k 2005 reg! Does anyone think that compares with the zed?
-
As a combined package of style and performance for its price, I think anyone would struggle to come up with many alternatives at all, in fact lets try....
Nope - Im stuck.
S2000
I knew that was coming
But he did say good looking

Rub it with rough spongy stuff, wipe it clean, spray it lightly, spray it again then gently rub it with a fine disc
How's that? Lol
Well that seems far simpler
-
As far as prep goes I stotched mine, panel wiped, then a dust cost of etch primer followed by a thicker coat then a tickle with a 1000 disc by hand.
???

The cars awesome but the mods wont achieve the cost you want for the car, although it would be horrible to see you break the car as the effort to get to this point must have been MASSIVE, its probably the best way to get the money your after. Swop parts for OEM plus cash obviously. Depends on how desperate you are for a GTR at the end of the day.
-
Any damage to the sidewall makes them illegal, not that its likely you would get caught. If your asking the question its probably worth getting a replacement as it will always play on your mind, look on ebay for the same tyre with roughly the same tread, thats what i did.
-
are they LMGT3 Wheels not LMGT4?
-
Mine doesnt use anything either
-
Looks good mate, do you think the Ings rear will work with a Nismo exhaust?
-
I believe they are pieces of metal that go on the sensor and prevent it from reading the emissions properly, stopping the engine management light coming on.
-
Too be fair everyone whose been for a ride in my car has said the same thing
-
Yea you need some anti foulers if you want to do it on the cheap, PM ZMANALEX as i know he has these, alternatively if you are going to a garage for a service they can knock the light out for you. Abbey Motorsport for example. You do realise that the engine light has come on because your emissions are now not at an acceptable level?
-
oh and the Bridgestone Re040 are a terrible tyre that probably doesnt help with your turn in feel either, plenty of info on other MUCH better tyres on here.
-
Got to remember the gear changes are going to have a more mechanical feel to them compared to the Z4, very different car. I found my first week of driving was very jumpy but you soon adapt, i think coming from a BMW to the Zed is a big jump in terms of driving characteristics
-
Maz i think we all know its not your fault, If Rik was dealing with you over PM he should have asked you to put a post up, really not that difficult if you have run a competition/thread properly before
-
Was a little suprised he lasted this long, why was he still allowed to trade after that thread with the guy who purchased from abroad, xendric i believe? His remarks on there were seriously unprofessional and immature.

Looks like ill be repairing it then, unless sarah does that 5zigen cheaper
yea the sale is still up in the air but either way it needs repairing, ive never sold a car that needed work done to it, dont think its fair on the new owner.
D day is when i get the insurance renewal, if i can afford it then it stays if not ill update the for sale thread.![](https://www.350z-uk.com/uploads/emoticons/default_thumbdown.gif)
