  1. Its not a difficult job to do even to a complete novice and im sure theres prob a guide on here if your struggling. I would rather let my girlfriend do the work than Nissan... well maybe but you see my point

My experience of Nissan went as follows:

    Drive into garage

    Walk to reception

Guy at reception (also mechanic) asks what car "that" is...

Thinking maybe it was due to the very massive changes that had thrown him, this being side skirts and a front lip, i said a 350z.... long pause followed by ohh im not sure we do those..

    Got back in my car

Drive to Abbey in London, best service ever.

  2. Well insurance came through at £900 which is fine, Service at Abbey went well with nothing that i didnt already know needing to be fixed. So 4 new tyres, fixed Nismo y pipe, 6 months tax and fitted the cats for the MOT means im within budget! Then to order new discs all round next month and i can finally afford to do some more mods! :D

Mods please lock the thread for at least another year!

  3. Yea the flexi has perished due to both those reasons, i have decats which means they dont have the bar going across for support like the standard cats and that has meant extra stress on the flexi. Ive also caught them twice and you can see it has made a dent. The cost of repair is simply the flexis which have worked out at £55 and labour, which will be nothing for me as my mate at the garage can do it for free, cheaper than a new y pipe at £200+

  4. Ok ive seen on another site that the Nismo Y pipe is 2.5 inch in and 3 inch out, does that sound right? if so im guessing 2.5 inch would work out to roughly 63mm. The website shows the three sizes so im going with the middle one as from memory that seems the most likely. If anyone has any better idea let me know

  5. The simple fact is that if you mixed tyres and you drive the car hard or conditions become severe you are putting yourself at a risk you dont need too. I agree that if your careful mixing tyres really wont matter, but lets be honest, we didnt buy this car to drive at 60mph on the bypass or 30 mph down country roads.

  6. Could be something im interested in doing as well! might be changing afew cosmetic bits soon to keep with the zebra theme. You got any pics?

Pics of what? :headhurt: the seats?

    umm the exhaust??

    Yes the seats

  7. Need to replace the flexi on the Nismo Exhaust and although ive found where to purchase them from, does anyone know the bore size and length i would need? i cant get the car on a ramp until Monday to find out and need to get the car MOT done!

    Any help would be appreciated!

  8. However, this has been very cheap for along time, and insurers can't keep on posting big losses from their motor insurance if they're not recouping enough money on other insurances. I'll bet that they've all paid out a ton of money after all the snow and ice at the beginning of the year too.

The problem i have with incurance companies is that they quote you a low price for your first year and then put it up 20% the following year, which for drivers like myself who are paying the maximum they can afford in their first year are struggling the next. If they need to put prices up it should be on all existing AND new policies, simple.

  9. Just remember with Admiral you have to pay upfront for the year or they put the price up ALOT. My quote with them this year is £755 but for monthly its £980. Im the same age with only 1 yr NCB.

  10. Sorry for the late reponse, espeically waseem  havent been on here for a while. My quote for insurance comes through in the next couple of days so if its the right price im keeping it, if its more then i will speak to the interested parties via PM.

    Thanks
