If im waxing I do the car first with Swissvax cleaner fluid and then use a Swissvax applicator pad 'its essential that the applicator pad,the wax and the car is clean and free from foriegn objects otherwise you can get problems' then I apply the wax in straight lines not swirly lines, then I buff off. Ive always done it that way and never had any problems..... Obviously Tim 'E.V.' can tell you better than me as he does the job for a living.

What products did you use ? I do mine all the time and don't get swirls When you apply the wax you should do it in square lines not circular, that can be a common error !
