So its Japfest on Sunday and I don't want to let the club down by my Zed looking shabby... A few weeks back I went over a small hump back bridge, probably a bit too fast but didnt think anything of it till I got near home and started to smell and overwhelming stink of burning plastic in the cockpit, I still didnt think much of it until I turned the stereo down and heard a scraping sound coming from under the car... oh pooh did I run over a cat or something ??? Nope This had happened... Undertray had detached from bumper and the wheel liner disintegrated on the tyre I put it down to the fact the bumper has been off and on loads of times and the little plastic holes at the bottom of the bumper had split open, this plus the fact I had probably not secured the undertray tight enough last time I took the bumper off So the bumper is causing me problems, last few times i've put it on ive struggled to allign it properly and been getting gaps under the lights, its ready for a new bumper but I can't decide what to get and with moving house can't really afford a new one at this moment in time... So enoughs enough... I need the help of a Professional to sort this out. Manage to get the replacement liner at a fantastic price from ZMANALEX and delivered in ultra quick time Top top man... Now its time to get someone to help... Unfortunately after waiting for confirmation if I could get the car booked in this weekend for the job of alligning the bumper and fitting the wheel arch the confirmation never came, probably my own fault for leaving it soo late What do I do now I can't cancel and let the guys down ' I have the 350z uk flags ' , plus im taking my Nephew who is car crazy... I can't let him down... what do I do Day off work.... Its D I Y Time In the Rain Bumper off 'again' Crap wheel liner off Thats the easy bit... bear in mind I work in an office all day and its peeeing it down in Derby so this has taken a while already Next... Its time to put my new UK plate holder and new snazzy reg plate on Old one (DIYed the import holder with a dremel) it was ok but not perfect On with the New snazzy one I did the plate swap over in the garage while the rain was really bad... had a wee break for lunch (left over Fajita's nom nom) and then it was time to crack on with the new liner To a professional this would be easy... I found it a bit of a pain in the butt as I was getting soaked and kept misplacing screws and caps but I got there in the end Now all thats left is the mischievous bumper... I had to really mess about with this, a couple of trial fits and then the hammer sorted it out though I got there in the end though ... Its not perfect but it looks 100% better than it did , it will do for now till my cash flow is back to normal and I can get a new one.. All in all it went pretty well considering the circumstances...... Like I said - a massive thanks to the ZMAN for sorting out the liner and the Reg plate holder -Top man indeed I also managed to give the wheels a massive clean and the car a quick wash so just need to give it a wax tomorrow and im all set for Japfest.. Thanks for reading my longest post ever Only outstanding problem with the car is the Driver window, I may D I Y this too but I need a looong break before attempting that Honest opinion... D I Y on cars sucks ass !!!! Its best left to the professionals unless a last resort or you want to spend lots of time out the way of the missus ( which is not always a bad thing )

I've decorated all my rooms at home, the key is preperation ! As long as you give yourself plenty of time and don't do a rush job then you can do a fantastic job fairly easily. I will have plenty of decorating to do next month when I move

Great app, had a blast with it. Stew , did you see my vodka pic on fb? The plant on it was a bit of a challenge but not bad for my 2nd attempt -
I'm thinking of selling..... Already!
Tarmac@TarmacSportz replied to karl922's topic in 350Z General
Well if you fit them you will prolly have less chance of selling for a good price so if your serious then sell the parts on here. If it was me I'd wait to get the bike till the start of next summer now -
Its a Zed with Havoc bumper and gold wheels

Fuel 5 vs dotz mugello or Rota GTR vs Corse Z2S
Tarmac@TarmacSportz replied to ballistic's topic in Wheels
I can't give you anymore info until you give me your 350GT Im afraid Just kidding Mine are not lowered and handle better than the stock ones that you have (i used to have)..... I can't comment on these wheels your looking at though im afraid as I don't have them -
I would PM CFoster He bought loads of the stuff then wrapped his car and took it all off again He did have a load left over if I remember rightly... you have to be careful, I bought some right shite off ebay
-
They are a bit pricey. You can try asking the usual if they have any spare Personally I would just Superglue it in
-
I want them Dan just not for 12k If you wanted to swap plus cash Cash I may be interested
-
Lovely wheels and great price Why are you selling up though Numpty
-
Nice one Stew, I would have advanced searched but you beat me too it.. Not really sure about those.. it was more of a silver strip just on one side covering the reflector. May be better to wait and replace the orange with a clear one from Husky as originally planned.
-
For the inside or outside ? My idea was to try and cobble something up for Sunday so the car looks cool at Japfest
-
I think you will have a better target audience if you do matey Most people look at modded cars and their immediate impression is that its been thrashed... Go back to standard is the answer. I only got offered 6.5k trade in on an ST for my 03 'slightly modded' import with 53k miles... Obviously I told him he must be on drugs as 'we buy any car' offered me more than that when I looked out of curiosity and I had put the details down as being totally standard
-
Well there was that as well

A while back my car was at a body shop and I was complaining that I detest the Orange reflector strip in the pre-06 headlights. He suggested using some sort of silver sticker 'cut to shape of reflector' to go on the outside of the head lamp, thus hiding the unsightly orange strip . Has anyone on here done anything like that ?
