This back up for sale due to being messed about! This is a colour touch screen ECU monitor and much more! size is 124x86x20mm and it will connect and be powered by the Nissan OBD2 port, and also support CAN, it uses JOBD protocol so is fine with the JDM 350Z but i don't know if it will communicate with the UK 350Z, not tried it. They will display all available engine parameter's (dependent on interface) on a variety of selectable screen configurations, they can also display and delete ECU error codes, If anyone is familiar with Nissan Data Scan they pretty much do all that it can do without a laptop in the car, and this includes data logging to an SD card. The screen configuration is completely customisable, and has a selection of different screen/display modes, and from what i remember up to nine gauges at once, there is also the ability to configure your own warning setting for each gauge, so as i see it, this can pretty much eliminate all the other gauges that are cluttering up your cabin. this unit can also support GPS software,IGo (not normally included, but i have loaded this satnav software) it has its own dyno/0-60 function. it can also play MP3 and MP4 video, and has an stereo jack output that you can run to your head unit too. Looking for £200 +P&P, add 3% if paying by Paypal,, no offers, i would rather keep it as its a great device, the closest thing to it is the HKS camp 2 and similar by Apexi and Blitz, but you wont get the GPS with them. http://youtu.be/xe7d_Gdbe7w

LOL! thanks fella. Unfortunately i just don't use it, so i cant justify keeping it, so I'm going for the sensible option of a late ish model diesel, i spend most of my time using the wifes old seat anyway, but i want something that is nice and comfortable for longer journeys, -

Nissan Skyline 350GT (Rare six speed manual) NOW SOLD!
Tricky-Ricky replied to Tricky-Ricky's topic in For Sale
Yes there are some for sale at 5-6K but go take a look at them and then tell me mine is over priced with 2K worth of wheels and tyres, stainless exhaust, coil overs, fully detailed engine bay and a lot of other subtle mods, It also doesn't have all the little nasties that i found when i was looking for this one, like window motor and lock problems, electrical problems etc etc. Good luck with your search and I'll wait to see your "whats wrong with my 350GT" question over on the 350GT section of the Skyline club Thanks for your input Just for reference this is the last time that my car will be for sale in this guise, as soon as this weather lets up the wheels and suspension at a minimum will be coming off and yes then the price will be reduced but it still wont be 6K. And thanks to all with the nice comment's. -

PM replied to. and i am based near Kings Lynn Norfolk. -
Needs to go soon so price now dropped, my 2004 Nissan Skyline 350GT six speed manual box, nearly all are auto so quite rare, spent thousands on aftermarket extras, Fresh import, i am the first owner, 52,000 mlls VGC in metallic silver/grey, same engine and gear box, chassis ans suspension as the Z so no problems with service parts or spears, Also has the same power figures etc, but with four usable seats ans a decent sized boot. I have owned this car since buying as fresh import in 2010, it has been pampered and had very little use, it comes with, imported American Linea Corse wheels, 19x10 and 19x8.5 with Falken 275x30x19 and 255x35x19 tyres, costing over £2,000 BC coil over suspension, fully ride height and damping adjustable, Tinted (legal) front and rear light units, with full HID for both high, low and fog lights, plus LED side and rear lights. Engine is fully detailed with polished covers etc, with painted plenum, it has a long tube induction kit that provides better and cooler airflow to the engine, just a remap required for 300BHP, one off alloy master cylinder cover, front engine cover, battery is also an uprated Bosch item, rather than the smaller Japanese one, Exhaust system is a true twin HKS style stainless steel system, nice sound without being too loud and drawing attention. An aftermarket grill is fitted, along with some subtle satin black intake surround's, and rear detail panel, Interior is mostly std with some carbon wrap and satin black detail,an oil pressure gauge is also fitted, upholstery is microfiber velour in VGC, seats are fully electronically adjustable for height, tilt and position, and also retract automatically for rear passengers, Separate driver and passenger climate control, factory satnav (conversion needed) plus TV function which is adapted to run rear view camera, and TV and any AV inputs, Bose six speaker premium sound system with upgraded speakers. The car is taxed and MOT until March/April, road tax is only £230 a year. Asking price is now reduced to £7,500 This will be the last time that it will be offered in this guise at this price. Its a lot of car for the money, and the ride is very good even with coil overs. Will take PX, cash my way for cheaper diesel, Honda Civic i-CTDI etc.

OK cant really help without more feedback, so your best bet is then a specialist tuner/engineer, however i think your just going to have to go on recommendation/reputation, and probably travel some distance to get it sorted, i certainly wouldn't trust it to any average garage/tuning shop.

Yes the std ECU will be reading the std crank sensor, and taking care of all the basic stuff so no need for the piggyback sensor connection in theory as it should be picking up that from the ECU anyway, FPR (fuel pressure regulator) will have been replaced for a rising rate item, this will be connected to a port on the plenum somewhere by some small bore hose, its worth checking this for leaks etc, it basically increases the fuel pressure with the onset of boost, I asked if it was still ruining the std MFA or a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor, or both? my reason for the question was because if its still using the std (or aftermarket?) MAF this to will be having the output altered by the piggyback so another place for problems, Again i am not saying that piggybacks are a problem, but it does make for an extra work when checking for problems. Is there anything else you notice when the problem occurs? Cant hep with RS, i know RK tuning, what area do you live? and who did the original conversion?

As I discussed with Keyser, The crank sensor wire supplied with the APS kit appears not to have been fitted (shielded to stop any EM scatter) or else has been spliced into the wiring away from the crank sensor - why I have no idea. The problem is that there is now only one dealer for APS ie DS Automotives, some 450 miles away. I have been trying to find a tuner nearer to my home in Dundee who would be knowledgeable enough to ascertain whether it is an ECU/piggyback problem, but to no avail. I shall try Keyser's suggestion but if it is as you say can you suggest a solution. I noticed that the crank sensor wire goes into the same sleeve as the exhaust lambda sensors, which is what the kit-supplied separate shielded cable is to prevent. There is no way I have sufficient knowledge or courage to try to separate wiring systems or re-wire components. The question remains why should the car/TT kit work perfectly for 35k miles/5.5 years then do this? On 2nd thoughts I'll just be happy for someone to fix the problem. Cheers Just been having a read of the APS blurb about the kit fitted, it appears to use an American unichip, with non user editable maps, a rising rate FPR, and did you say it was fitted with a MAP sensor? and is this used instead of or in conjunction with the AFM? The non connection of the crank sensor should have no effect if its never been connected, i would guess that side is all handled by the std ECU, there are a number of things that will effect how the engine runs, but as your problem is intermittent it limits the possible causes, the first thing that you can check is the vacuum line to the FPR, although i doubt thats solely responsible, but the reg itself could be, As i said before the AP piggyback will almost certainly modify the std Lambda feedback signal in order to fool the std ECU into thinking that its still running the pre programed AFRs when its really running much richer fueling, so that is certainly a place where things could also go wrong, however if the std lambda sensors are going outside the expected readings it should show up via a fault code, Its a difficult one to diagnose without more info, i have no problem with piggybacks in general ( and have used several in the past to very good results) but i am not a fan of these all in one kits that use a piggyback made and mapped by a third party.

Coolant/Water boiling in the reservoir?!
Tricky-Ricky replied to Adrian@TORQEN's topic in 350Z Technical
You can repair the fan motors yourself, if you know what your doing. -
I think Keyser is on the right track, and i would go a bit further and hazard a guess that the APS being a piggyback and used for the VQ will be intercepting an altering the lambda feedback thats sent to the ECU, i suspect that its this that screwing up the feedback signal to the ECU and causing your problems.
