  1. Just have an angle grinder handy, then you can just cut the really stubborn bolts/nuts.
  2. you're very lucky to have a decent sized pond closest I got was a four foot fish tank in my lounge & yes always been into bikes and tattoos but unfortunately have no balance so every time I try to ride a bike I garnish the road or pavement with my skin so I stick to 4 wheels A need to return to the beard?. LOL! when i was younger and fished a lot, use to get some funny looks off the other anglers because i would turn up on a Harley chop (no other transport at the time) sporting leather and cut off, beard, tattoo's etc, and a big rod bag over my shoulder and a hold all strapped to the sissy bar, but they soon realised that all fishing fanatics are similar once you get through the looks.
  3. Nice carp! mind you i have one nearly that big in my pond, i said i was going to start fishing again when i moved to Norfolk, but after two years i still haven't been. tatooandy67 are you into bikes or just a tat and ZZ top beard fan
  4. If oil its only minor anyway, water would evaporate pretty quick, and how can he say its the water pump from a small patch of oil/water..... i would be taking it elsewhere.
  5. Something not right there, adding oil should not suddenly increase compression from 125psi to 300psi. that way over std. How much oil did you add?
  6. Well i guess some things stay constant.....Minis still leak oil
  7. Everyone's younger than you dick Ooo you bitch! :p
  8. Thats one of my favorites, the closer they tailgate, the slower i go, its really frstrating........for them.
  9. Got to be safer than some of the drivers i have seen around my area...............
  10. Maybe..... but I'm personally not completely convinced.
  11. It certainly seems people link a loud exhaust to speed, i have done the same myself in the Supra, and it wasn't very loud either, the funny part for me was that i was only doing 27mph and that the guy shouting something like slow down was younger than me!
  12. Yep! and some of them fit dildo gear knobs............
  13. Glad somebody added that link, as i cant upload pictures for some reason? Anyway i am inclined to think that even with the cooling system bled properly one fan wont be enough if your stuck in traffic, make sure you add enough antifreeze as this will help with cooling, but i would be inclined to make the trip back late at night when there is much less chance of getting stuck in traffic, with the system fully bled and being able to keep moving at a reasonable speed, you stand a better chance, also the night temps are also cooler, good luck.
  14. That actually sounds good, if the engine is up to temp? it could be that the fans are just hard to start and are intermittent, so just keep an eye on things and carry a large container of water/coolant with you, and be prepared to stop on a regular basis to protect the engine.
  15. Tell me more...? It would be much better if it was off by default, with the option to turn it ON if you so desired. EDIT; 'IMO' You can fit a switch to the orange power wire on the yaw sensor that under the center console, this is supposed to stop the traction control working, however i am not 100% convinced as i have experienced some odd effects at times, but in general it does seem to stop the rather annoying effects from the traction control even when its supposed to be off. But if your not used to catching the rear end when it steps out in all kinds of conditions etc i wouldn't advise it.
  16. Both fans should come on when you turn on the air con regardless of temperature, if they don't do it then neither will come on when the coolant temp sensor triggers them, So as soon as your going slow in traffic etc, the engine will overheat regardless of what coolant you have, coolant wise a 60/40 mix of any proprietary antifreeze and water will be fine as long as you font mix the type with silicates (green/blue) with organic acid types (red/pink)
  17. They will come on when the temp sensor is triggered, so if driving hard in high ambient temps, or slow moving traffic and stationary,or when the air con is on, they are not particularly loud, so its unlikely you will hear them unless stationary.
  18. Mine whent off on the day i got it, and after that the yaw sensor got a switch that was permanently off, but then i did come from something with twice the power with no form of traction control whatsoever.
  19. Your disc's are warped, you could try skimming, but i would just replace, as those look like they have been pretty overheated/cooked by the micro cracking visible.
  20. As said sounds like an air lock problem, have you recently drained any part of the cooling system? However can you elaborate on the accuracy of the two mile drive from cold and the coolant temp is on max? air locks often result in a cold reading on the gauge as if there is air around the sensor it will read cold.
  21. Quick bump in case anyone needs one, if not I'll bung it on ebay.
  22. Yes both fans are in the rad cowel, if its overheating after only two miles from cold then it sounds like a more serious problem to me, as it shouldn't be that hot after that sort of distance.
  23. Man up! i just use masking or insulation tape if it bleeds enough to get I'm my way, if not i just let it fill up with oil/grease that usually stops the bleeding.
