Waits for all the scrotes to read that we are no longer fitting locking wheel nuts..............................................................
-
Put it this way, if they really want to steel your wheels do you really think a locking wheel nuts going to stop them? after all you can pick up tools to remove them anyway, same goes for car alarms...even the intelligent ones, if a professional thief want your car....

The more un necessary plumbing you add to the oil system, the more chance of getting a leak, apart from that if you get the pipes the wrong way around you can kill your engine.

I ran one on my 350GT there are a lot of similar HKS copies about, but I suspect they are all pretty similar, performance wise if your intending to decat they are very noisy, and I think you will lose a bit of low down torque without a remap, but with the cats still in they are a nice sound.

Have you checked to see if you have adjustable setup, IE coil overs.

Happy birthday fellas

Your average tyre/geometry setting garage wouldn't have a clue, if you go to one of the US Z forums I am pretty sure there are some settings knocking about that where worked out for spacers both with and without suspension mods.

Perfectly normal the low load side of the PCV system pulls a lot of oil vapor from the engine during idle.

Ignoring the previous ageist remarks I still like to play Oblivion...great game, I think as I said before its the open world thing, you can spend a lot of time just exploring.
-
LOL! and I will probably play them in a year or two.

Picked up GTA5 yesterday and had a quick play...must say I am quite impressed with the changes, the game is vast...great for nicking cars and going on the run, loads to exsplore....I particularly like open world games, graphics are greatly improved as I would expect, but they have changed the controls which is a pain when you have gotten used to GTA4.Was tempted to get a copy of Far Cry2 as I have heard its similar to Skyrim...but with guns? but I still want to get a game of the year edition of Skyrim just to play the one remaining expansion, that I haven't tried, but I'm damed if I'm going to pay full price for it.

Very interesting point, I belong to several forums, both car related and not, and I am noticing this is becoming a problem on a couple of them, reduced forum visits etc, but one of the major changes seems to be that the advice on the social media sites is very poor and uneducated.....IE lots of incorrect and bad advice, along with lots of sales also, so unfortunately I fear that it may be ultimate demise of the forum as we know it. I hope not but its looking that way, some of the problem I think is due to forum owners feeling that also using social media sites is beneficial, but in the long term as you say it an easy fix for most and will I think kill off certain forums.

If you look at it this way....although you may have OEM suspension and settings you have still changed the basic set up that the car was designed around, it changes the center point of the roiling radius of the wheels/tyres and moves it further out, so the scrub radius of the steering wheels is changed, and the suspension loading is also changed slightly, also because the whole footprint is pushed further out it really needs the geometry resetting to take all this into consideration, a dedicated racer would probably be able to come up with some more suitable settings.

LOL! Heading that direction but not there quite yet Anyway just had a nice dinner and will shortly be hitting the port,

Incorrect! restriction is necessary to make sure the oil pressure can be forced between the bearing surfaces when under considerable load of a running engine, why do you think that a good indication of badly worn bearings is low oil pressure. Oil flow on its own would be useless, its the oil galleries and bearings that provide the restriction. Your pressure dropped because of a slight change in oil viscosity from 10 w40 to 5w30. Edited just to keep somebody happy!

Nissan 350 gt Infiniti O/S Door lock mechanism required?
Tricky-Ricky replied to vinson1990's topic in Wanted
Try Zmanalex on here, he occasionally brakes Skyline 350GTs, otherwise you might be lucky with Nissan, however a lot of people just replace with an aftermarket item, but it will require a bit of improvisation. -
Bigger Harder and not so flacid at the end!
Tricky-Ricky replied to planetsurfer2's topic in Performance
Not at all. I've been to SPA and KNOCKHILL recently and haven't locked the brakes. Haven't disabled the YAW sensor yet, so the brakes come on automagically when cornering really hard. This would be my next move...the std ABS/traction/stability control is way too fond of chipping in all the time when pushed, disabling it will help. -
Afraid not, but I'm sure one of the traders here can supply one at a sensible price.

I wouldn't say you necessarily have a problem, although 10PSI is a little low at idle, and personally I would prefer/expect to See 15 to 25 psi, but it could easily be a dodgy sender, presumably the 10PSI is at hot idle?

Thanks guys

What oil grade are you using? and whats the mileage of the engine?
-
Chicken...egg!

Oil pressure is purely a result of mechanical movement of the oil pump and maintained by this and regulated from over pressure by the oil pressure relief valve, Oil pressure can be affected by low oil level causing cavitation (air voids in the flow) thick or thin oil will also reduce or increase the pressure, also blocked or obstructed oil filter or oil passages within the engine. Also oil pressure is affected by temperature, despite oil being multi-grade cold oil pressure will be considerably higher than hot oil pressure for the same RPM. With relation to oil pressure being an indication of engine condition, well if the engine has a lot of miles on it or has not been serviced regularly things like bearing clearances and oil pump wear are an indication of condition but not always given the factors mentioned above, it will not however indicate piston ring bore wear. And finally if you over fill with oil depending on amount, slight overfill should be OK but a little more and you could see oil getting past oil seals, and in extreme cases forcing them out of position, but a serious overfill and we are talking 2-3 lt or more cold result in serious mechanical damage. As said your pressure sounds fine.

Just playing through GTA4 again...must be the violence....Going to pick up a SH GTA5 later this week, I was playing Fallout new Vegas again but got stuck and pi**ed off, still looking for a Skyrim game of the year edition so I can play through one of the add ons that I didn't get.
